Chapter 12: A Little Misunderstanding (Part 1)  

 Nayeon had noticed her friend, Jihyo, had been very weird lately. Like for example, now, they were heading back from a performance to the dorms and Jihyo seemed not to be able to take her eyes and hands off her freaking phone. 

 

"Jihyo-yah" Nayeon tried to divert the girl's attention from the screen.    It didn't work though, Jihyo either ignored her or didn't listen to her. She tried again.   "Jihyo-yah"    Nothing.    Nayeon frowned. She decided to aply the old, ancient tehcnique used by friends all around the world. She leaned forward torwards Jihyo's phone, then she pressed the finger on the screen.   "Unnie!" Jihyo whined "What are you doing?!"   "Your hand is going to get glued to that thing if you don't stop using it twenty four seven!" Nayeon scolded.    She grabbed the phone and tried taking it away from Jihyo's grip.   "Stop it! Unnie, it's my phone!" Jihyo complained.   "Then answer me when I talk to you!" Nayeon pouted and let go of the phone.    Dahyun and Tzuyu, who were in the van too, chuckled.    But actually, what Nayeon found to be the weirdest things of all was that she was actually grinning at the screen. And that could only mean one thing... Or maybe a couple more, but she prefered to keep the options at minimun.    She smiled like she always did, pursing her lips, her cheeks popping out, her eyes smiling on their own and tiny dimples showing.   "Jihyo-yah~" She held her hands together while swinging to her left and then to her right.    Jihyo glanced at her.   "Who are you texting~?" she asked teasingly, her smile still on.    Jihyo's eyes opened even wider than they already were, she recovered a second too late, Nayeon had noticed, she smirked. Jihyo put her phone on her bag and looked through the window the rest of the trip. Nayeon giggled, they would have a long, long, talk when they got back.    They had arrived 20 minutes ago and Nayeon was still waiting for her chance to talk with Jihyo alone. But it seemed like her girlfriend had other plans.  Jeongyeon was literally all over her since the moment she crossed the door. Okay, maybe the term 'all over her' was a little too much. But Jeongyeon didn't leave her side since she stepped on the house. In other circumstances she would have love it and would have found a way to keep everyone away from her room just to be alone with Jeongyeon. But this wasn't the time!   "Jeongyeonie-yah~ Stop it~" She whined trying to pry free from Jeongyeon's tight hug.    Her girlfriend pouted.   "I thought you wanted me to be more affectionate with you?" Jeongyeon said confused "You literally ignored me for two days because I wasn't warm enough with you!"    Nayeon sighed, she surrounded her girlfriend's neck with her hands. Jeongyeon, out of habit, rested her own hands on Nayeon's waist.   "I know, I know" Nayeon pulled a strand of hair out of Jeongyeon's face, she then started to play with her girlfriend's hair.    Jeongyeon smiled slyly.   "So what? Enough Jeongyeonie-yah for today?" Jeongyeon did her best try on aegyo but ended up looking funny, making Nayeon laugh.    It worked for her either way, so it was okay. Nayeon shook her head, she smiled and kissed her girlfriend's lips.   "I can't ever get enough of you" She said once she pulled back.    Jeongyeon chuckled embarrassed.   "Honestly I was waiting for a chance to talk with Jihyo-yah alone"    Jeongyeon looked at her concered.   "Something wrong?"   "Ani" Nayeon smiled "She has been acting really weird lately that's all"    Jeongyeon tilted her head slyly, making Nayeon smile.   "You look so cute doing that!" Nayeon giggled.    Jeongyeon pouted.   "You are cute~"    Nayeon laughed at her girlfriend's attempt of aegyo and pulled her closer, her lips meeting Jeongyeon's.    Suddendly the bell rang and not even a second later they heard Jihyo's voice.   "Would you two please cut it off! We have guest!"    Jeongyeon rolled her eyes while Nayeon chuckled. She pulled her girlfriend in for one more kiss before letting go.   "You done over there?" Jihyo asked and waiting for a nod before opening the door.   "Jihyo unnie!" the heard someone say loudly.    Nayeon glanced at the door, she smiled at the surprise.   "Somi-yah!"     She rushed to the girl and hugged her. Somi laughed.   "What brings you here?" she asked excited.    Somi hestitated a bit before talking.   "I just wanted to pay you a visit" she smiled brightly.    They invited Somi inside and just as they closed the door they heard running steps through the corridor.    A scream.   "SOMI-YAH!"   "Chaeyoung unnie!"    Both friends ran to each other and hugged tighly. A few seconds later a not-so-happy Mina appeared, arms crossed and wearing a tight smile.   "Hey there, long time no see" she tried her best to sound friendly.    Jeongyeon and Nayeon chuckled, but Somi seemed to buy it.   "Where is everyone else?" Somi asked enthusiastically.    Nayeon's eyes opened wide.   "Where the heck are Sana and Momo?!" she asked looking straight at Mina.    Mina opened her eyes in surprise.   "Don't look at me, I wasn't with them" she raised her hands in surrender.    Jihyo lifted an eyebrow.   "Right, so where were you two?" Jihyo asked suspiciously poiting from Chaeyoung to Mina.    Mina paled before blushing. Chaeyoung rolled her eyes and crossed her arms.   "None of your business" she mumumbled.    Somi giggled.   "Aww, poor Chaeyoungie it's getting mad" she teased while pinching Chaeyoung's cheeks.    Nayeon sweared, if looks could kill, Somi would have been so dead by the way Mina was glaring at her.   "Yaah! Stop that! I'm older than you!" Chaeyoung groaned pushing Somi away.    Somi laughed.   "I'm still taller though..."    Chaeyoung look at her in disbelief and stamped her foot on the floor.    "Yaah!"    Somi laughed even harder and hugged Chaeyoung as tighly as she could. Nayeon swore she saw Mina's right eye twitching.   "Anyways..." Jihyo clapped her hands before they had to deal with Mina's rage "I thought maybe we could order something to eat?" she smiled at the girls.    They heard weird noises coming from the hall. Nayeon's, Jihyo's and Jeongyeon's head's moved torwards that direction, ready to launch themselves at the first couple who they saw. Mina laughed.   "Momo-chan, what are you- Poor Dahyunie!" She kept on giggling.   "Help!" Dahyun whined.    Momo held her tighly in her arms. She had lifted Dahyun from the floor. She let go of the girl who would have fell if it wasn't for her girlfriend's arms that held her in place.   "Sorry" Momo giggled "I heard someone talking about food, and this pabo wouldn't hurry up"    Dahyun pouted. Momo giggled at her cute girlfriend, she cupped her cheeks in her hands and was pulling closer but jumped away at Jihyo's voice.   "Yah! You two! There are minors here!"    Momo rolled her eyes.   "Chaeyoung and Dahyun don't count"   "Not them pabo, Somi!" Jeongyeon laughed.    Dahyun pushed herself from Momo as soon as she heard the girl's name. She moved her head around until she found what she was looking for.   "Somi-yah!" She ran and hugged her friend.    Somi chuckled.   "When did you get here?"   "A couple of minutes ago" she smiled.    Dahyun nodded with a smile, she let go of the hug.   "Not trying to sound rude, but why the sudden visit?" Dahyun smiled.    Chaeyoung hit the back of Dahyun's head. The older girl whined.   "That sounded rude, pabo!" she hit the girl's head again.    Dahyun whined again.   "Yah! Stop it!" she yelled at Chaeyoung.    The shorter girl laughed, along with Somi.   "Guys, why did you stop talking about food when we came here?" Momo pouted.    The girls laughed.    They ended up ordening pizza, Somi's choice. When someone tried to protest Jihyo stopped them.   "I'm the leader, so shh!" she joked.    The food was about to arrive, according to the clock on the wall. They were sitting on the couch, TV on.   "What time do you have to go back?" Chaeyoung asked her friend.    She was sitting on the right side of Somi while Dahyun was on the left side, the three girls were on the floor. Mina stared at them from the couch, not liking the scene one bit, especially when Chaeyoung would hug Somi and Somi hugged back. She shook her head.   "They are only friends" Momo's whispered in japanese reached her ear.    Mina glanced at her and Momo chuckled.   "Shut up" Mina whispered back, in japanese as well.    They heard a loud noise coming from the rooms, like something hitting a door. Jihyo had never seen Nayeon standing up so quickly in her life.   "Sana and Tzuyu are alone in a room!" She yelled making Jeongyeon stand up too.   "No, no, no!" Jeongyeon yelled all the way until she disapeared in the hallway.    Somi chuckled, Mina saw she was whispering something to Chaeyoung's ear which made her girlfriend laugh.    Momo chuckled at her.    The doorbell rang and Jihyo stood up to accept the delivery, she paid and closed the door, not without saying thank you to the deliver.   "Guys, food is here!" She yelled loudly so the girls who weren't there would hear too.    They had settled down on the table already when Nayeon appeared, dragging Sana by the wrist.   "Sit down" she told the japanese girl.    Sana pouted.   "Nayeon unnie, don't get mad~" she did some cute gestures with her hands.    Nayeon shook her head and crossed her arms.   "Don't even think about it, sit down!"    Sana pouted again and did as told earning suspicious looks from Momo and Mina. When Sana's eyes met Momo's she blushed, making Momo chuckle.   "But we didn't-" they heard from the hallways.   "Don't try to fool me kid, now walk!"   "We really weren't-"   "Tzuyu-yah, I said walk!"    Tzuyu whined.   "I'm walking, I'm walking, no need to get violent!"    Jeongyeon couldn't help laughing.   "Jeongyeon-yah!" Nayeon scolded from the dining table.   "Like I said Tzuyu-yah, walk!"    They heard Tzuyu groan as she made her way to the table. Something was odd to the maknae, she did a quick head counts, last time she checked there were nine girls in the dorm.    "Wait a sec- Somi-yah!" she smiled at the girl who stood up to hug her.   "Tzuyu unnie!"    Tzuyu smiled brightly.   "Finally, I'm not the maknae in the room!"    Somi laughed.   "I thought you said you liked being the youngest?" Dahyun asked with a smirk.    Tzuyu let go of the hug, she looked at the floor.   "Sometimes is the worst" she murmured.    Nayeon frowned.   "Take a sit kid"     Tzuyu pushed backwards the chair that was next to Sana's. Jeongyeon moved quickly and sat on the chair, smiling sweetly at Tzuyu. The younger girl rolled her eyes.   "What did you two do?" Momo whispered in japanese with a sly chuckle.   "Nothing!" Sana asnwered back in the same language, louder than she intended " We literally did nothing!"    Mina chuckled.   "Calm down, they are staring" she told her in japanese.   "It's so cool they use japanese randomly" Somi laughed.    Jihyo rolled her eyes.   "Don't encourage it, it's so weird not being able to understand anything!"    Somi laughed.    They had dinner, overall, in peace. Although Mina couldn't stop herself from glaring at Somi from time to time, she was sitting next to Chaeyoung and their laughter was a bit too friendly for Mina's liking. Jihyo who was sitting next to Somi too, gave her a warning look. Mina sighed and tried her best to pay attention to whatever Sana and Momo were doing. Tzuyu ate silently, glaring at Jeongyeon and Nayeon from time to time, Dahyun laughed at her and in between whispers. Overall, they ate in peace.    They had finished eating and were now starting to clean when Jihyo felt someone tapping her shoulder. She turned around to find a smiley Somi.   "Somi-yah" she smiled "Everything okay?"    Somi nodded.   "Actually... I wanted to know if we could... you know... talk about... you know"    Jihyo smiled.   "Sure, you wanna go outside? Inside we'll keep getting interrumpted"    Somi smiled and nodded.   "Arasso, give me a minute"    Jihyo left what she was holding on the table. She went to the restroom to wash her hands and grabbed a jacket. She then held Somi's hand and guided her to the door.   "Somi-yah, y
