Taeyeon had always been a loner. Be it in school, home, just about anywhere.
But alongside her stood Sunny, her most reliable friend at that point of time.

Both had just graduated University and were still in contact ever since Highschool.

Highschool huh....
Taeyeon hung out with Sunny for every lesson but of course, she wasn't that sociable compared to Sunny. Sunny was a dear friend to her but Taeyeon couldn't possibly be possessive and disallow her friend to socialize with the others.

Because of that she was often alone, but Sunny tried to accommodate her and keep her accompanied whenever she was free but she wasn't always free.

Jessica had transferred to the school during mid term and was arranged to sit beside Taeyeon. It took awhile for Taeyeon to start talking and opening up to Jessica but she did anyway.

Taeyeon did start to have suspicions about herself though.
Just having lunch at the playground, sitting on the steps of it could bring joy and smiles to Taeyeon's face.

" I packed lunch from home, here's your share taeyeonnie " Jessica grinned and stretched her hands to drop the packed sandwich onto Taeyeon's palms.

" that could have dropped you know.. " Taeyeon muttered under her breath but was internally smiling at the adorable action.

Just by taking the bus back home together as Jessica lean on Taeyeon's shoulder during the bus ride could make Taeyeon's cheeks flush red as she gazed out of the window.

'am I thinking what I am thinking. i really don't think it's possible but...'


On one particular day, Sunny decided to question about Taeyeon's orientation. In a nicer way.
" Taeyeon.. I would like to ask something but I hope you won't feel offended, if you don't want to answer, I'm fine with it, i respect you." She said placing her hands on Taeyeon's hands.

Taeyeon didn't say a word and stared blankly at Sunny.

" so.. Taeyeon ah, do you like Jessica? " Sunny paused " I mean not in a friend way you know..? "

" Now that you have asked, I think so too. Am I too obvious? "

Sunny was shocked at her friend's straightforwardness. She never expected Taeyeon to respond in this manner.

" I guess so. Don't worry, I won't judge you if you think I would. " I assured her as I pressed my hands firmly on hers signaling confirmation.

This had gone on for awhile. Ever since Jessica died due to an accident where she never conquered it due to late treatment, sunny didn't dare approach Taeyeon about this topic and now they even ended university. Taeyeon being still single. Deciding to be a paramedic, probably to "avenge" whom she had first tried to love and the same old reserved type of person she was.

During Taeyeon's journey, there was a lady who also joined the force.
Surprisingly, they were of same age. Tiffany had decided to join the team of paramedics amidst her training and was coincidentally put under Taeyeon's guidance for that period of time.
That's how they met, through work.

As time passed, Taeyeon learned about Tiffany having to lodge at a hostel where she paid rental monthly to support herself. As a colleague or even more, she allowed Tiffany to stay at her place for the time being till she found somewhere to go.

Tiffany was somehow similar to Jessica, her adorable character, clumsy actions and the ability to make Taeyeon smile at the stupidest things.
