Chapter 3

ENGLISH VERSION

Sleeping time

The lightning flashed across the sky repeatedly as thunder boomed. Rain pelted on the Earth as GuiGui shut her eyes tight. She hated whenever a thunderstorm occurred. She was extremely frightened of the loud thunder claps and the flashes of lightning.

Aaron who was sleeping at the end of the king-size bed had his back facing towards GuiGui. He was suppressing the urge to turn around to look at GuiGui. However, when the storm started to grow outside, he thought he could hear GuiGui’s faint whimpers.

“Gui, are you alright?”

“I'm--I'm alright” She stammered.

Suddenly, a bright white lightning stretched across the sky and a terrible roar of thunder was heard. GuiGui screamed and scrambled towards Aaron. She fell onto his chest and huddled close to him.

“It's so scary!!” She sobbed.

“Hush--It's ok, nothing is going to happen.” Aaron placed his arms over GuiGui protectively and pulled her closer to him. He smoothed her hair and hummed into her ear.

It took them both a while to realize how close they were. However, none of them wanted to move apart. GuiGui cuddled close to Aaron, ‘absorbing’ all the warmth he radiated. A shy smile spread across her face as her cheeks turned pinkish. Aaron, on the other hand continued to hold GuiGui towards his chest. He breathed in deeply, and secretly placed his lips on her head. Then, he held Guigui’s hand.

“Go to sleep”

“But i don't think i am able to fall asleep.” Guigui tilted her head upwards to look at Aaron. She blushed slightly as she thought that the position she and Aaron were in was couple-liked.

“Me too” Aaron admitted.

“Are you afraid of the lightning too? Why aren't you able to sleep?”

“beacuse- - It's the first time i ever slept alone with a girl.”

Guigui giggled.

“It's quite enjoyable isn't it? Especially Guigui is the girl in your arms!”

“It's quite- - ” Aaron paused, the silence was deafening and Guigui could clearly hear his heartbeat. THUMPTHUMPTHUMP it went. Guigui perked up and smiled.

“Are you feeling very nervous? Your heart is beating so quickly.”

“I---I-” As Aaron stammered through, Guigui knew he was nervous. She decided to probe further.

“When you first met me during the press conference, what impression did you have?”

“Cute, but really playful at times. Maybe too playful” Aaron complained as Guigui felt his arms tighten around her, bringing her closer to his chest. (Although he said Guigui was too playful, he still loved her so)

“How about Qiaoqiao?”

“Well, she's pretty, her character is pretty similar to mine so getting along with her is quite easy.”

Guigui sulked.

“Everything about Qiaoqiao is better than me!”

Upon hearing Guigui complain and compare herself with his female colleague, Aaron couldn’t help but laugh. He patted her head and covered her with his blanket.

“You think too much Guigui~ You are my best best best baby!”

Although Aaron said that she was his baby, Guigui knew he was only joking. She tilted her head away from his sight and pulled the blanket up all the way to her chest.

“I am really not lying!”Aaron knew Guigui doubted what he said and he wanted to re-assure her of where she stood in his heart. Upon hearing what Aaron said, Guigui could feel her heart leap up as happiness showered her.

“Do you want a goodnight kiss?” Guigui looked up at Aaron.

“what goodnight- -”

Before Aaron could finish asking his question, Guigui kissed him on his cheek and scurried away. He laughed at her silliness.

“So you don't need my hug anymore?”

“NOPE！” Guigui pretended to be brave. Just then, yet another lightning flashed across the darkened sky and a clap of thunder was heard. Like a little girl, Guigui scrambled right into Aaron’s embrace again and whimpered.

“Eh, i think i do better with your hug- -”She said sheepishly. Aaron snickered and hugged her tightly; he definitely didn’t mind hugging her to sleep.

“ah~” GuiGui stretched her body and yawned loudly as she climbed out of the bed slowly. She was still feelings groggy from her sleep and was lazily rubbing her eyes as she entered the toilet. However, little did she realize that Aaron was inside.

“GUIGUI！” Aaron shouted.

GuiGui stopped at that instant and stared at Aaron muscular body. He had nothing on except a pair of boxers.

“AHH！！！！！！” She shrieked as Aaron immediately ran forward, hugged her from behind and covered .

“Hush! Qiaoqiao is still sleeping!” However, when Guigui felt Aaron’s body against hers, she felt even more embarrassed and struggled furiously. She stomped hard on Aaron’s feet and he shouted and toppled. Acting by instincts, Aaron grabbed Guigui’s arm and she fell right on top of him.

Their faces were no further than 2 inches apart. GuiGui stared at Aaron, her eyes wide opened.

“I'm--I'm sorry!” Aaron murmured as he pushed GuiGui over so that he could stand.

“It's--It's okay” GuiGui hastily said and ran out of the bathroom, her face nearly bursting from the heat it radiated. As she headed towards the kitchen, she had to try very hard to block out the image of Aaron’s body in her mind. In fact, she could still feel the feeling of Aaron’s body against hers as he attempted to shut her up. Guigui took several deep breaths and slapped herself lightly, reminding herself to keep her thoughts clean.

As Guigui stoned, something furry rubbed against her legs. She surveyed her surroundings only to find Aaron’s dog Meimei wagging her tail playfully.

“Eh? You are out of bed?” Guigui bent down and carried Meimei, placing her on her lap as she sat on the chair. “Do you know that you are really pretty?” Guigui patted Meimei’s head as she used her fingers to comb the dog’s hair. Just then, someone entered the kitchen.

“You like it? How about getting one for yourself? I will buy it for you!” Aaron walked in and pulled a chair to sit beside Guigui. Guigui stared at him as her eyes lingered to his body. Instantly, she blushed as she realized how erted she was.

“i—”

“Are you still thinking about what heppened just now?” Aaron put his face closer to Guigui’s.

“I am not!”

“Then why do you keep eyeing my chest?”

“You are so irritating!!” Guigui shrieked as she moved away from Aaron.

Despite wanting to tease Guigui, Aaron could also feel his body heat up as he blushed. Guigui was the first girl who ever saw him and strangely, he was glad that she was the first.

“So do you want so dog?”

“You will get it for me?”

“If you like i wouldn't spending the money.” Aaron patted Meimei as Guigui combed its fur. Guigui looked up and their eyes met. At that instance, it was as if the real world disappeared and they were thrown into a place where only the both of them existed.
