Chapter 5

ENGLISH VERSION

“WHAT!? I will be filming a show with Taiwan's greatest hunk Jiro wang?!” Guigui screamed in excitement. She couldn’t believe she was actually getting a chance to act with one of Taiwan’s hottest hunks- Jiro.

“WHAT? Guigui is going to be your show's female lead?” Aaron’s voice exploded like a cracking whip.

“Why are you so shocked? I feel honoured that i am getting a chance to act with Guigui! Besides, she is a really special girl." Jiro said slowly.

However, Aaron had his own doubts about this pairing. He didn’t like the idea. He thought it was somewhat disgusting (at least to him). He couldn’t accept the fact but kept probing Jiro for more information.

“So the contents of the show—”

“Oh, i ahven't even looked at the script yet. But the company says that it should be a good one so i readily accepted it."

“But don't you think that you and Guigui...As a couple...A little weird?No, very weird!"

This time, Calvin interrupted. “Ah bu! I feel that Jiro and Guigui would be a cute couple---Are--Are you jealous?"

“Nope. I was just curious!” Aaron shot back. He couldn’t tell if he was actually jealous that his good friend had gotten a chance to work with GuiGui, but he just knew that he didn’t favour this pairing. He couldn’t and didn’t want to imagine Jiro buzzing around Guigui and hated the idea of Jiro having intimate scenes with Guigui.

“So does Guigui know? What was her reaction?” A string of questions escaped from Aaron’s lips.

“How would i know?” Jiro raised his eyebrows.

“How about the script? Are there kissing scenes? Are there bed scenes? These scenes, are they--” Another string of ridiculous questions escaped Aaron’s lips again.

“Bed scenes?” Jiro laughed. “I have not even looked at the script yet!” Jiro felt that his buddy’s reactions were a little overboard and decided to worry him a little.

“Hey Calvin! DO you think that there is a possibility that Guigui will become my little princess?” Jiro asked playfully as he winked at Calvin, indicating him to play along. Calvin took a glance at Aaron and laughed as he saw his expression tensed up.

“Hmm, I think so! Girls like guys that are manly and you are!” Jiro and Calvin stole glances at Aaron and had to suppress the urge to burst out laughing. Aaron ignored the duo as he fiddled with his mobile phone, hoping that Guigui would text him.

Just then, some reporters from GTV entered. They were carrying cameras and microphones with them as Aaron’s manager rushed in.

“Aaron! I forgot to tell you that GTV will be interviewing you and QIaoqiao today.”

“Oh, ok, I will get going.” Aaron replied as he sighed with exhaustion. These few days of work has been taking a toll on him and last night, he couldn’t sleep properly for he had an indescribable to pull the girl sleeping beside him and plant a kiss on her lips. He had stayed up nearly the hours rocking her in his arms till she started to breathe in deeply. Then, he found himself staring at her delicate features the entire night before he dozed off. Aaron yawned again as he got up from the sofa and adjusted his jacket before he exited the room.

Little did he know, the very moment he shut the door, Calvin and Jiro fell onto the floor, clutching their stomachs and laughing till their jaws ached.

“Actually, i feel that Qiaoqiao and i have a lot of chemistry. In fact, among all the other girls i worked with, i feel that Qiaoqiao and I are the most fated!” Aaron commented as the reporters shot questions at him.

“Oh really? Haha~! I feel very honoured!” Qiaoqiao chirped in happily as she flashed a radiant smile.

“How about your little ghost?” The reporters queried their eyes full of anticipation. As this question was asked, an awkward tension blanketed Aaron and Qiaoqiao. Aaron shut his eyes tightly as the scene whereby Guigui cuddled in his arms yesterday night flashed repeatedly in his mind. He scratched his eyes, hoping to shake the image out of is mind.

On the other hand, Qiaoqiao sipped her drink’s straw nervously and smiled shyly. “He placed her in his heart.” Then, she covered and let out a hearty laugh, hoping to sweep all the awkwardness away, and she succeeded.

“Thanks，” Aaron looked at her and smiled. This question caught him off-guard. Every time someone mentioned GuiGui, he would get distracted and strong emotions would simply overwhelm him. He often asked himself if this was love, but then, again and again, he assured himself that it was not. However, when Guigui slept with him last night, he began to realize that he had fallen in love with her.

Suddenly, all of them heard a voice.

“HELLO! HI! How's everyone! Where aaron?” Aaron whirled around, only to see GuiGui in a bright pink dress. It wasn’t really a dress, but something that looked like a detective suit. Aaron rolled his eyes and laughed as the camera man shifted the camera to Guigui.

“Why are you dressed in this? It's so weird!” Aaron exclaimed before bursting out into laughter. GuiGui pouted and pushed him out of the way. She took a swift glance at her surroundings and realized that she was being taped.

“Hello!！” She said playfully. “I'm here to visit the casts! But this round i am looking for Jiro!” Guigui laughed again as she looked around for Jiro. When she was about to return the limelight to Qiaoqiao and Aaron, the reporter asked something.

“You came just on time! We were just talking about you.”

“Me？Qhat were you guys talking about?” Guigui cocked her head sideways and glanced at Aaron. “What did you say about me?”

As usual, reporters would take this chance and try to fish something out of Guigui.
“Aaron said that among all the female stars that he had worked with, he feels that Qiaoqiao and him have the most chemistry! What do you think?”

The question caught Guigui. She stoned for a moment before letting a small and awkward smile crawl over her face.

“Hmm, well-- Aaron and Qiaoqiao are rather compatible.”

However, although Guigui allowed those words to escape , she could feel a sour feeling creeping across her heart. Aaron also felt his heart crack.

“Don't you think so？” She piped in, hoping to convince the reporter that she didn’t really care. However, deep down in her, she longed for Aaron’s love. She wanted his attention, but now, with another girl by his side, all seemed impossible.

“Alright, i shall not disturb the interviwing process~ I shall go look for Jiro! Bye!” With that, Guigui waved to the camera and headed for the make-up studio. Aaron stared at her as she moved away; he wanted to stop her from looking for Jiro for he feared that with another man by her side, Guigui would spend less time with him. However, he was still being taped; therefore he had to control his emotions.

“Where were we at?” Aaron asked as he feigned a smile.

“HI” Guigui’s voice echoed throughout the room as she pushed the door open, only to see Jiro and Calvin settling comfortably in the sofa. Upen hearing a voice, they looked up curiously.

“Are you Guigui?” Jiro stood up and walked towards her.

“Yes! I'm guigui!” GuiGui smiled and stuck her right hand out, waiting for a respond.

Jiro eyed her hand for a moment and tucked his hands behind her back. He arched forward and flashed a playful grin. “Hmm--You like--greeting people the old fashion way?”

Upon hearing Jiro’s comment, Guigui’s forehead creased into a frown before she scolded him. “I was just being polite and i wanted to get to know you better!”

Seeing how funny yet cute Guigui looked when she pouts, a natural smile crossed his face.

“You are cute---Alright, nice ot meet you, I;m jiro~ You can just call me Da dong!”

Then, he stuck out his left hand, signaling for Guigui to shake it. Guigui stared at Jiro’s hand and said haughtily

“Gretting people in this manner is extrememly outdated! I don't want to become old fashioned like you!”

Next, she strode out of the make-up room with her nose pointed sky-wards. Instantly, Jiro and Calvin started laughing. “Such a cute girl! No wonder my best buddy fell in love with her...” Calvin shook his head as he and Jiro followed behind GuiGui.

“Ah bu!！” Guigui called out upon seeing the camera man keep his camera. “What is it？” Aaron asked with concern as he put his arm around her shoulder.

“Ah bu! Jiro is bullying me!” Jiro mimicked Guigui’s voice as he walked towards the duo.
Immediately, Guigui shot him a glare whacked him on his head.

“You are so irritating! Be careful or i will mess your hair up!” Guigui nearly screamed at him.

“Alright, alright. I was just joking! Don't be so angry! I promise you that i wouldn't be like that when we are filmign our show ok? I promise that i will take good care of you!” Jiro ruffled Guigui’s hair.

“You promise？” Guigui looked at Jiro innocently.

“I promise”

“Then let's hook pinkies!” Guigui moved forward and stuck out her right pinky. Jiro took her pinky with his and added

“Guigui, you really are old fashion!” With that, he ran away and fast from Guigui. The strong-headed Guigui couldn’t take it anymore and ran after him, leaving behind a poor, confused Aaron.

“Looks like they get along well and they----look cute together."Aaron thought sadly to himself before he packed his things, ready to shoot the scene of his show- the kissing scene after having lunch.
