Chapter 4

ENGLISH VERSION

“As my birthday present？” Guigui whispered, still looking into Aaron’s eyes. Aaron nodded.

“But you must call it GaGa” He whispered so quietly that even Guigui had to strain her ears to catch his words. Then, unknowingly, Aaron inched forward, his eyes fixed onto Guigui’s lips. Upon realizing what was happening, Guigui’s heart skipped a beat as she steadied herself and shut her eyes.

“WOOF!” Meimei barked as she charged out of the kitchen, perhaps too shy to witness her master kissing another girl. On the other hand, Guigui and Aaron jumped back in surprise as their hearts raced.

“Eh, I- -” Aaron was stunned by his own actions. Guigui looked away as she waited for an explanation. However, it never came as Qiaoqiao soon stepped into the kitchen, asking for breakfast. Aaron hurriedly pulled his chair away from Guigui and stood up.

“I shall start preparing breakfast.”

During breakfast, silence ensued.

“Why are you two so quiet？” Qiaoqiao asked quizzically.

GuiGui knew explanations wouldn’t do and simply shrugged as she continued to eat her bread. Qiaoqiao furrowed her eyebrows and decided to make small talk with Aaron.

“Oh, Aaron，We are going to film our kissing scene today isn't it!”

Upon hearing what Qiaoqiao said, Guigui frozed.

“kiss- kissing scene？” GuiGui stammered. Qiaoqiao merely nodded.

“But Aaron is not even the show's male lead！” She protested.

“Yup, that's why he's going to kiss me forcefully”

Instantly Guigui’s expression changed. She didn’t know why but she anger started building up in her. She was angry that QiaoQiao could get a chance to kiss Aaron. Without thinking twice, GuiGui stood up and grabbed her handbag.

“Sorry, i forgot that i have something on later. So i shall leave now.” With that, GuiGui walked off.

Aaron looked in the direction in which GuiGui had stormed off. Somehow, deep down inside, he knew why GuiGui had left- she was jealous. However, before he could do anything, Qiaoqiao spoke.

“Ah bu, I will go, you should prepare yourself before we leave.” Then she ran after GuiGui.

[At the bus stop]

“Guigui, are you alright?”

“Yup.” GuiGui replied bluntly. Qiaoqiao observed Guigui’s sulky expression for a little while before she continued.

“Are you starting to like Aaron?”

“NOPE！” GuiGui shot back instantly. Qiaoqiao smiled.

“That's good, because i think i am starting to like him.” Qiaoqiao said as a shy grin formed on her face.

“You like him?” Guigui phrased her question slowly. Qiaoqiao shrugged as she leaned forward, a smile etched to her flawless face. GuiGui stood at the bus stop, motionless and dumbstruck. To her, QiaoQiao was like an angel. She was pretty, smart and feminine. Everything that Aaron would ask for. GuiGui forced a smile and stared into space.

“SO does he like you?” Guigui asked, hoping to crush Qiaoqiao’s hopes of being Aaron’s girlfriend.

“I'm not sure, but we do get along really well..”

Guigui nodded silently as a million of thoughts filtered through her mind. Did Aaron like her or Qiaoqiao better? Why did Aaron initiate a kiss just now? As those thoughts whirled around in her brain, Guigui felt herself get more and more confuse. Suddenly, someone called her.

“GUIGUI!”

Guigui whirled around, only to see a messily dressed Aaron running towards her. In his right hand, he carried a red and green Mario lunchbox and in his left, he held a silver thermos flask.

“What is it?” Guigui looked at him quizzically as she pushed a strand of hair away form her face.

“You—” Aaron panted and tried to catch his breath.

“Silly boy! You ran ALL the way here?” Guigui asked again.

“I--You haven't had your breakfast and you just left!” Aaron passed the lunchbox and flask to Guigui.

“Here, I prepared the bread by spreading your favoruite chocolate jam and in the bottle is your favourite Yakult.” Aaron explained as a bead of sweat trickled down his forehead. Guigui smiled, a heart bursting with endless joy. She reached into her handbag and pulled out a packet of tissue.

“THANKS! Look at you, sweating like a pig! Here you go, use it to wipe your sweat!”

Aaron took the packet of tissue from Guigui, making an extra effort to brush his hand over hers. Guigui felt Aaron hand over hers as she blushed. She just knew that he did that on purpose.

“Yalun, Let's go!” Qiaoqiao interrupted the duo. Throughout the duration, Qiaoqiao stood one side, frowning as she witness Aaron being so concern for Guigui. Now, she wasn’t going to let them have too much time together.

Aaron nodded and bade goodbye as he left with Qiaoqiao. Guigui stood there motionlessly, a smile forming on her face as she looked at the food Aaron had caringly packed for her. Suddenly, her phone rang.

“Guigui, where are you? Make it quick and come to my office as soon as you can!” GuiGui’s agent chattered excitedly before hanging up the call.

On the other hand, Qiaoqiao was clinging onto Aaron’s arm.

“Yalun, I want the breakfast you made for Guigui!” Qiaoqiao whined, trying to act cute.

“I thought you ate already?”

“No! I was eating halfway when i went to look for Guigui!”

“Oh, I see” Aaron said absent-mindedly, his mind wandering away from the conversation to Guigui’s face.

“What OH? I don't care~ I want the breakfast! And i love chocolate too!” Qiaoqiao hinted Aaron.

“OKay,I left the chocolate spread in the kitchen, feel free to help yourself.” Aaron said and walked off, leaving Qiaoqiao to sulk all she wanted to.

“Hello Ah Bu！” Jiro popped out from behind Aaron.

“Eh? Why are you here？” Aaron shot Jiro a puzzled expression.

“To visit you and Calvin！” Jiro laughed as he plunked onto the sofa Aaron was settled comfortably in.

“Hey, i heard that you are being offered to be the male lead in an upcoming drama！” Calvin piped in as he entered the make-up studio.

Jiro smiled and lied down. “Not bad, you recieved the news already?”

The confused Aaron stared as he two buddies and smiled. “Jiro is filming a new show again? Who's the lead actress?”

“She's no other than your little princess~” Jiro replied cheekily before Calvin interrupted. “Nope, Aaron's new princess is Qiaoqiao!”

“Stop it and tell me! Who is she?” Aaron demanded.
