Taeyeon didn't understand the reason for all the hype on the ranks. To Taeyeon, tests didn't evaluate knowledge. She believed a persons mentality determined them. To her, everyone in the world was smart in their way. 

So when everyone in the lunch room was buzzing waiting for the scores to come out after lunch, she sat eating her lunch in silence.

"Guys, I think I got at least 20th this year." said Taemin

"No way man, you're an idiot remember." said Minho

"Either way we all know who got first, Jessica." said Taemin.

Jessica looked up from her phone and groaned.

"Look guys maybe some genius freshman won this year, you never know. The younger ne fresher the brain right?" said Jessica.

"Yeah right jessica, you've gotten 1st all the years you have been here." said Minho.

Jessica smirked and went back to texting her friends in Australia.

PA ANNOUNCEMENT: SCORES ARE POSTED ON THE MAIN WALL

Everyone ran to the main board hoping to rank at least over 100.

The test is based off the whole school and the tests are carefully calculated to be fair to all grades.

The responses were a mixture of "Sh*t my parents are gonna kill me!" and "YES!"

Then a loud scream.

"Taeyeon got 1st place with 100%!!!!!"

"Jessica only got 2nd with 87%"

Jessica tried to keep her poker face on and tried not to show her raging anger boiling in her blood.

Jessica went back to her lunch table and sat down. 

She didn't know what to do.

Her mom was gonna be pissed thats for sure.

She grabbed Tiffany and they left a room full of awe faced rich kids.

Taeyeon was even more confused. 

She had people coming up to her her all day saying.

"Now you're really gonna get it." 

Get what?

Taeyeon got shoved into lockers, got cursed at and humiliated,and even had things thrown at her all day. 

What more can she get?

As the day approached the end she got her books from her locker and headed out the front doors.

She was stopped by kyle and his huge group of friends.

"How in the world did you get 100%." said Jessica.

Jessica came out from the group of boys.

"I...I don't know, what type of question is that?"

"You know damm well what we're talking about." said Tiffany.

"Look I didn't cheat ok." 

"We know you didn't cheat its impossible." said Jessica.

"So we wanted to know if how the hell you did what was considered impossible until now." said Tiffany.

"Idk, I stay hydrated to keep my brain active I guess." 

"LOOK, we're not here to ask for studying tips. We're hear to understand what that hell happened." said Jessica.

At this point, Taeyeon was getting tired of all this commotion so she said it

"Oh, I have a photographic memory so everything since I was a baby is still fresh in my noggin."

Taeyeon will soon learn to regret saying these words.

Kyle and his friends give each other these looks.

"Oh, we're gonna have some fun with you." said Kyle.

They grabed taeyeon by the collar and brought the computer lab.

They looked up 24 hours if unsatisfying and cringy videos.

Taeyeon will never forget amount of cringe she experienced that day.

It was a Saturday so Taeyeon finally had a break from her daily life.

The shipment of her mothers ashes came on friday and she has been contemplating when to spread them.

She looked up the best spreading spots in L.A. and found a valley famous for ash spreading and burials.

She heads down their by bus and finally lands.

She checked in and was given a map to her registered spot.

Taeyeon spent almost 10 minutes looking for her spot until she found a grass area that looked simular to the one on her map.

As she came closer she found a girl there reading while laying down on her back.

"Um excuse me, could you tell me where spot 14b is please." said Taeyeon.

The girl looked up and Taeyeons jaw dropped.

What is she doing here?

Tiffany's POV

I lay down reading my moms favorite book.

" Hey mom, this was your favorite part when the boy saves the girl from falling into a dark hole." said Tiffany.

"Um excuse me, could you tell me where spot 14b is please."

I looked up from my book.

What is she doing here?

"GO AWAY NERD GO AWAY!" 

The new girl Taeyeon looks confused and very flustered.

"I'm really sorry if I bothered you." said Taeyeon.

"Just leave!" 

I burst out into tears.

Taeyeon stops flustering around and kneels down.

"Hey whoa, calm down. Look I'm sorry for ruining the moment, I won't tell anyone at school." said Taeyeon.

I look up with disgust

"What the hell do you mean, you didn't see anything!"

Taeyeon then stares at me with a serious but soft gaze.

Her face then softens and she looks really sad.

She then hugs me really tight with her arms all around me.

"It's okay to be sad." said Taeyeon.

I don't know if it was the hug, her words or even the gaze, but that got me crying like a baby.

"You know...*sniff... sometimes I just come here to read *sniff and when I come to her ashes, I just feel like I'm with her."

"I would say it's okay and that I understand but I'm not. It's not okay, someone you love died and you're allowed to be sad." said Taeyeon.

Taeyeon then got up and started walking away.

She turned back once and yelled 

"DON'T WORRY I WON'T TELL ANYONE, IT'LL BE OUR LITTLE SECRET."
