Drabble #10

Prompt: PersonA is really shy about proposing so they just slip the ring on while Person B is sleeping

Yixing stares at the velvet box sitting on the nightstand intently as he sat on the edge of their shared bed.

"You're taunting me." Yixing grumbled.

Just then he heard the front door opening. He grabbed the box and shoved it into the drawer of the nightstand.

The bedroom door opened and Junmyeon walked in with a smile on his face.

"Hey Xing." Junmyeon greeted, going to sit next to his boyfriend on the bed.

"Hey baby, how was your day?" Yixing asked, pressing a chaste kiss to Junmyeon's lips when he sat.

"Tiring. Kids can be a handful sometimes." Junmyeon replied resting his head on Yixing's shoulder. Yixing smiled and kissed the top of Junmyeon's head.

He loves this man so much.

"The walk over here was warm. I'm gonna go take a shower." Junmyeon said, getting up from the bed, getting ready to exit and head towards the bathroom.

Yixing watched as Junmyeon shrugged of his jacket.

"Join me?" Junmyeon asked with a wink.

Junmyeon didn't need to ask twice

Yixing and Junmyeon had been together for about four years now. Yixing will never forget the day Junmyeon confessed to him first because he was to shy to do it. This had always been a problem with him. Junmyeon had initiated their relationship, their first kiss, even their first time together. But Yixing was going to propose no matter what.

He just didn't know how.

He couldn't sleep.

Yixing watched Junmyeon's sleeping figure from his spot on their bed. He looked at his significant other, trying to figure out what would be the best way to propose.

Junmyeon wasn't one for extravagant gestures. He just needed a reminder that you still cared and Yixing was happyour to remind him every day.

Yixing picked up the velvet box and removed the ring that was perched inside. Sighing quietly, he gently took Junmyeon’s left hand and slipped the ring on to his finger, making sure to kiss his knuckles before resting his hand back down.

The next morning, Junmyeon was by himself on the bed. Yixing usually woke up first so he wasn't surprised to find the other side of the bed empty.

He stretched and as he rubbed his face he felt something slightly scatch his face.

Suspiciously he looked at his hands to find what scratched him. Junmyeon's eyes widened when he noticed the foreign object sitting on his finger.

"OH MY GOD!!" Yixing heard Junmyeon scream from their room.

Yixing went into their room to find Junmyeon upwards on their bed with a panicked expression on his face.

"What the is this and where did it come from?" Junmyeon asked, pointing at the ring on his finger.

"It's an engagement ring honey." Yixing replied.

"I know that!" Junmyeon huffed and throw a pillow in his boyfriend's direction, "I mean, when did you put this on?"

"Last night. I've been meaning to ask you for a while but I didn't know how to." Yixing explained.

"Really?" Junmyeon asked, his expression softening.

Yixing nodded, "Jun I love you so much but you know things like this freak me out but I can't imagine the rest of my life without you being right by my side. I want you to marry me Kim Junmyeon."

Junmyeon grinned, his eyes glassy. He got off the bed and hugged his boyfriend.

"You're the worst at proposals." He said into his neck.

"So is that a yes?" Yixing asked.

"Of course it is."

Drabble #11

Prompt: Person A and B are sleeping but A wakes up because B is having nightmares, moving around and mumbling. A doesn't know what to do at first but then A slowly comes closer to B and hugs them. B then calms down and they both proceed sleeping

It was Yixing and Junmyeon's first night sleeping together as they officially moved into their own apartment.

They've slept in the same bed before but now it's even more special because they were in their own home.

Yixing was ecstatic his relationship with Junmyeon lasted this long. Junmyeon always seemed a little closed off, never letting other people be burdened with his problems. That's why he only learnt nine and a half months into their relationship that Junmyeon was abused by his father.

It was something Yixing would have never guessed because Junmyeon always seemed content and never let things bother him too much.

That night when they were asleep Yixing was awoken by a small noise.

"No..." the voice muttered weakly.

Yixing sat up and looked over at Junmyeon whose entire figure was trembling.

"I'm sorry... please no..." Junmyeon mumbled in his sleep, his voice sounding scared. His hand jerked forward to cover his face.

He was having a nightmare.

Yixing was concerned, this had never happened before so he didn't know how to react.

"Jun?" Yixing tried to wake him up by touching his shoulder slightly.

"W-Wait don't -" Junmyeon's body shook again as he whimpered.

Instinctively, Yixing slowly wrapped his arms around hisoon partner's shaking form, trying to console him.

Eventually Junmyeon's cries died down as he burged his face in Yixing's chest, his breaths becoming less panicked and more even now. Yixing sighed in relief when he realized Junmyeon was calm again and he drifted back to sleep, his arms still placed protectively around his partner.

Junmyeon woke up a ltitle disoriented and it took him a couple minutes to remember what happened.

He sighed when he realized that he forgot to take his sleeping pills the night before so he had a nightmare.

He also nopined that Yixing had his arms around him and that wasn't how they fell alseep. He smiled slightly when he put the two together. Yixing helped him through his nightmare and he never felt safer.

I know I haven't posted in a really long time but I'm on Christmas vacation for a few weeks so hopefully I can update a little more often now until school restarts.
