CHAPTER FIVE: BREAKEVEN

He swears he’s till dreaming.

The aroma of the fresh coffee brewing in the kitchen seemed like a familiar scene. It was one of these moments where Jungkook just wants to lay on his bed and just enjoyed the feeling of being warm and tucked under his blanket. The scent of the lavender immediately knocks his senses as he imagines Taehyung nudging his shoulder while showering him with light kisses just to wake him up.

He then realizes the kisses were light. He was now half-awake this time. Jungkook could hear the light giggles as boy continues peppering kisses on his cheeks.

“Hey, you’re going to be late for work, hun.” The brunette whispers, gently shaking his arm to wake him up

“Mmm… just five more minutes… Tae…” he murmurs as he slowly tugs Taehyung’s hand inviting the older to go back to bed.

“Nope.” he retaliates.

“Jeon Jungkook. Namjoon hyung’s gonna kick your if you don’t…-”

“Who cares about that idiot, scoot closer.” said the man waving his hand to pull him closer

“Uggh. Just for five minutes, or else I’ll drag your in the bathroom.” he mentally sighs as he finally gave in and allowed himself to cuddle with this fully-grown man beside him.

After a few minutes, with a few cuddling and momentarily pinching Taehyung’s cheeks – a habit he got when Taehyung complained he was getting fatter - Jungkook got up. His lips quirked into a teasing smile.

“Want to come along?” he muses seductively to Taehyung’s earlobe

“Save water, let’s shower together Taehyung-ah.”

“G..g-gosh you! Pp..ert!” the blushing brunette instantly pushes himself off his husband and stormed out of the room leaving a very satisfied Jungkook and his half-hard junior.

“Jungkook, wake up.” A familiar velvety voice echoes through Jungkook’s ear making the young man open his eyes

“Tae?”  he mumbled groggily, like he just had a bad hangover        

The ‘Tae’ figure chuckled lightly.

“No, silly. It’s me, Jimin.”

Jungkook snapped. He immediately flinches at the thought of Jimin waking him up. What happened last night wasn’t something he remembered. He was pretty sure he went home after going to Seokjin’s house.

“Where are we?” he replied as he groggily makes an effort to sit on the edge of the bed

“At your house, dummy.” Jimin slowly stands up.

“How did you get in?”

“You didn’t remember?”

“What did I do?” Confusion sets in.

“You called me. Told me to come here as soon as I could. You we’re talking gibberish on the phone saying…like Tae leaving the house.. something like that.” Jimin gave a straight-forward answer. He knows he could get a little creative and tell lie as an excuse but he figures that now wasn’t the time.

Oh, so that was it. He couldn’t recall all the details but he did remember calling someone as he overly drowns himself with his dear old friend by the name of whiskey.

Then there was a long silence.
