The Five DynastiesThe crowd of rowdy students jeers as I jump off a rising slab of dirt. The Terra girl, who said her name is SooYoung, we introduced ourselves before fighting, doesn’t move her body like Suho actually didn’t move at all. She keeps her feet planted on the ground at all times. Maybe it has something to do with her power, maybe to use her power she has to stay connected to the ground. That means if I get her off the ground she may turn powerless. Getting her off the ground and unconscious is my main goal right now. Fighting Soo Young is a little harder fighting than Suho. I had to watch the ground and SooYoung simultaneously. That made dodging the spikes and sticks that stuck out the ground harder to dodge not to mention the giant walls and holes that pop up out of nowhere. Plus SooYoung had started hurling small sharp rocks at me. Cuts start to bleed all over me. But they are only minor pricks, pain wise. Same as Suho I make my way closer to her, with a very similar plan. Soo Young notices what I am doing when I’m 5 feet away and jumps back.
"EH HEY! WE GOT A SMART ONE HERE! YOU SHOULD ALL TAKE NOTE. THIS IS LEGENDARY!”
Hee Chul shouts clapping loudly. All the walls, spikes, and rocks fall uselessly on the ground when Soo Young’s feet left the ground, confirming my suspicion. In a matter of seconds I grab a rock and tackle SooYoung. Her eyes glare up at me, challenging me. I accept the challenge and swing the rock down as a pillar of earth shoots up. The rock hits Soo Young hard on the head, cutting it. I fly backwards from the force of the pillar. Tumbling across the field. Through my hair I see SooYoung stand up, swaying slightly. Just by the sway of her stance I know I’ve won. She holds onto her head as her legs falter. She falls gracefully, like a feather falling to the ground.
“GAME DONE! Lay, Chun-Hae”
HeeChul boomed, I guess Chun-Hae is the other healer. Lay jumps down from the benches a short girl with baby blue hair ended below her chin. Chun-Hae jogs to Suho’s and Soo Young’s slumped bodies. Lay however jogs to me. All guilt I felt towards the two fighters vanishes as they stand up as good as new.
“Are you okay?” Lay’s brows furrowed in concern. He helps me up gently. All I feel is a dull ache where the pillar hit me. “I’m fine. I don’t need healing.” Lay sighs, knowing well that I don’t like the way royals heal themselves even it’s a small cut.
“Go, I really am fine it doesn’t hurt” A white lie. Lay knows this but leaves anyway.
“Your really good at fighting! Can you teach me?” Soo Young skips up to me. “But I just…” I am speechless by her kindness.
“Ah the fight? Don’t worry, that was just an in class fight. No one will hold any grudges.” Soo Young laughs off the fight as if it were nothing. It’s hard to believe she is the same girl I fought not even five minutes ago.
“So will you teach me how to fight physically?” Soo Young clings onto my arm giving me her best puppy look.
“Uh…Sure?” I guess I could teach her, the little I know.
“ASA! YES!!!” Soo Young cheers pumping her skinny arms in the air. Beaming brightly.
“Who do want to fight next?” Hee Chul interrupts.
“Soul.” I answer quickly. The tall soul guy scoffs crossing his arms.
“It’s on short-” My head snaps up to glare at him.
“Oh I am so going to kick your .”
I can’t se Tao. He’s too fast, too fast to see.
