Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the 5th of CableJet KHB annual event. We are really glad that all of you could spend your time to be here. Without any further, I would like to invite CableJet KHB CEO, Miss Kimhan Burnaphan to give a welcome speech and then to lunched this event. Give a big clap to Miss Kimhan.”

Kim, who is sitting at the VVIP table quickly get up when she heard the emcee calling her name. She fix her suit to make sure she look tidy. She bent down a bit and whispered to Pie, “I will not take a long time up there. Just wait me here for a while.” Kim kissed Pie’s check and began to walk. Pie stunned. Every guest at the same table
with them, looked at her and smile. To avoid the awkward, Pie smile back to them and try to calm herself. Kim is already at the stage.

“First or all, I would like to praise God for granted us good health, lavished us with wealth and give us chance to gather here today. For those who have attended our event last year, thank you so much for still able to make it today. For those who this is their first time to attend our event, also thank you so much and again welcome to the 5th CableJet KHB annual event. Still like previous years, CableJet KHB organize this event not only to gather and appreciate our beloved and loyal customer and suppliers. We also want to share the profit that we have gained with those in need. We also organize a donation thru our “Bidding vs Selling Activity” and the money collected will give to the charity organization. This year we make a slight change and have invited one of the well-known publishing company, The Random House as the one that will auction off their items. The Random House is not
only published magazine and journal, but they also now have involved in the publication of novels and reference book for students at any level. Regarding with that, this year we have invited children who have cancer from the General Hospital as those who celebrated. We sincerely hope that all of us can make a contribution by buying the
books that will be auctioned or sell. Therefore, I Kimhan Burnaphan,CEO of CableJet KHB, launching this 5th CableJet KHB annual event. May God bless us. Thank you very much.”

All guests get up and give a round of applause after Kim finished giving her speech, including Pie. In her heart, Pie admire Kim. Although that tom is still young but she is already become a CEO of a company and able to run the company well. While Kim was giving a speech, Pie had heard a conversation between two ladies who sit
together with her. Their conversation all about Kim. They praised her a lot. Talk about her achievement, how charisma she is and last but not least, about the girl that come with her today. Which is Pie! Pie is pretending not heard their conversation and keep listening to Kim. Kim is still at the stage, shake hand with the representor from the publishing company. All the guest sit down and suddenly one of the lady talk to Pie.

“Excuse me, may I know who you are? I know it is none of my business but just wonder who is this beautiful lady that come along with Kim. She is alone all this while, never bring a friend. Oh by the way my name is Tavee Ruechanok but you can call me Tavee. And this is Jane. We also from Thailand, same like Kim and we have known each other since high school. Actually Kim and I are a good friend. Nope!! A ‘very close friend’.” The lady with name Tavee, elaborate about herself to Pie. She realize that women emphasize when she uttered the phase ‘very close friend’. The other women who name Jane, waived her hand to Pie.

“Hi, I am Pie Mindara and just call me Pie. Actually I also from Thailand. I have been here about more than a month. This is my first time following Kim to her event.” Turn Pie to introduce herself. She purposely not to answers Tavee question on who is she to Kim. Actually Pie didn’t know how to answer that question. Who is she? is she is Kim’s siblings? No. Is she is Kim’s neighbour? Also no. Is she is Kim’s friend? She not sure if Kim considers her as a friend. Is she is Kim’s girlfriend? Wait!!?? GIRLFRIEND!!?? Pie shook her head, could not believe that herself could think until that far.

“Why are you shake your head, Pie? Something wrong somewhere?” Jane asking when she saw Pie shook her head.

“You still not answering us, Pie. What is you relation with Kim?” Tavee won’t satisfied. She ask again when earlier Pie didn’t mention who she is. Tavee really want to know. Pie hesitated to answer.

“She is my family special friend, Tavee. Actually our childhood friend. My family and her family know each other for many years. She has never been here. So my family wants me to bring her here. Consider as hervacation and at the same time good for her to make a new friend at the new environment. She is staying with me. As I mentioned just now, she is my special friend. So please treat her nicely and make friend with her. Come Pie. I want to introduce you to some of the important person of this company.” Kim nudged her hand towards Pie. Then both of them walked away. Tavee can feel the anger rise up in herself with Kim’s words. She get up and want to follow Kim but she was stopped by Jane. “Calm yourself down, Tavee. Let them away this time. This is her company’s event. So many VVIP here. Don’t embarrass yourself.” Jane tried to persuade Tavee. She known her very well. Tavee is a type of who will do anything to get what she wants. And if she didn’t get it, she will make sure that no one also will get it.

Meanwhile.

Still holding hands, Kim and Pie walked towards the table where the important couple that earlier Kim mentioned sit. When they reached there, both couple stand up. Kim and the guy hugged each other, whispering and laughing. Pie sure those who didn’t know Kim and that guy, definitely assume both of them as siblings. After that, Kim turn to the girl whose standing beside the guy. Kim kissed that girl’s cheek and hugged her. Again, three of them whispered to each other and then laugh until the girl turn to look at Pie and said :

“So Kim, this is the beautiful lady that you have told us? You didn’t want to introduce her to us? ”

“Kim, you are so bad. Treat this beautiful lady in a bad way. Goshhh Kim!” the guy said to Kim, shaking his head. Kim just smile.

“Hi, you must be Pie? My name is Mario. And this is Fern, my fiancé.” The guy named Mario introduced himself together with the girl. Both of them shake hand with Pie.

“Hi, yes I am Pie. Nice to meet you Mario, Fern.”

“So what do you think about New York? Do you enjoy living here? Which place that Kim have bought you to?” Fern shoot Pie.
