Description

Le Carnaval des Perdus was one of the last remaining traveling carnivals in Europe, and it had been the home of Dahlia Van Althuis for the past three years. The skills of the so-called psychic would be put to the test when a mysterious deck of Tarot cards comes into her possession, and the lives of twelve guardians are now quite literally in her hands.

Foreword

Dahlia Van Althuis wasn’t clairvoyant; she was lauded as an amazing psychic, but the majority of that was all PR nonsense. While she skilled in the art of reading people and making deductions, as well as a handy talent as making inferences with her Tarot deck, she wouldn’t be as successful if she didn’t use her true power before every session. However, one such session led her to a particularly strange customer, who gleefully passed along a new Tarot deck as a gift – but there were only twelve cards, instead of the standard fifty-two.

Had she known that the mysterious deck would unleash beings that would drag her into their world and go on a journey that would take her to the ends of the earth…she’d never have opened the deck.

NOTE #1: While this story may seem similar to other “Deck” based stories, this story is of my own creation. Any resemblances to other stories are coincidental and unintentional.

NOTE #2: I haven’t decided yet, but I’m feeling like this will be a reverse harem-esque story where all the guys end up with the same girl. I don’t plan on pushing it into the NC-17 realm, but it may venture somewhat into PG-13 territory.

Chapter 23: It’s quite a good story, even though the ending is not satisfying, but the journey to search for the tree makes this story interesting:)

How come I have never seen this before? Maybe because it's not tagged reversed harem?!

I only finished the 1st chapter but I like it so far and I'm super curious to read that's next!

Edit: So I finished reading it and while I enjoyed it, it was rushed. I would have loved it to be a bit more detailed and long! It needed more chapters tbh!

Chapter 23: I just found your story and I must say, this is one of the best I've read. From the plot, to the characters, to your grammars, everything turned out better than good. The scenes are not cringey, and somehow made me feel– squeaky– which is a good thing, like butterflies in the stomach. I hope you'll write more! Stay happy xo

Chapter 23: Ah man, I wish it was longer; I wanted it all to continue. And I agree with Dahlia - bit anticlimactic there, Tree - but I don't mind. Sometimes it's nice to have a sweet, simple ending.

I apologize for not commenting more, but I just had to keep going straight to the next chapter and then, before I knew it, I was done! Thank you for the story, I really enjoyed it~ :)

Chapter 4: Omg I can't believe it! That stuff about the tarot cards was just BS? Pfft I love it! (Unless... you're just trying to make it seem that way? Hmmm...)
And it seems like EXO will be more... modern? Like they, judging from Chanyeol's actions and way of speaking, don't seem to be from a previous time period which is a nice change.
