The next day, Baekhyun was looking through the church's window. 

He had nowhere to go and his parents have jobs so he was home alone and decided to go to the church.

"Baekhyun?"

Baekhyun turned around to see Father Yixing.

Baekhyun remembered some choir members gossiping that Father Yixing is Chanyeol's favorite priest and role model.

"Yes, Father?"

"Is there something wrong?"

Baekhyun sighed as he slowly nodded.

"Then tell the priest. Tell me, I want to help." 

"Father... why did you become a priest?"

Yixing smiled as he caressed Baekhyun's hair.

"Well... I didn't expect for that kind of question." Yixing chuckled.

"Father, why be a priest? I mean, there's a lot of limits and rules to go by. It's... does it even make you go crazy that you have to be careful around people?"

"Careful around people?"

Baekhyun looked down as Yixing raised an eyebrow.

"I mean, when falling in love a person."

"Oh... of course it's sad to experience that."

"You've experienced that?"

"Mhm. Every priest did."

"Then why? Why did you choose to stay?"

"We love God." Yixing shrugged.

"I love him as much as you do."

"Well then, I don't actually plan of being a priest at the first place. I just thought that... I don't actually have a plan for myself."

"So you just chose to be a priest?"

"No. I had lots of thinking about this, Baekhyun. To be honest, up until now, I don't know how I ended up here." Father Yixing laughed lightly.

Baekhyun only pouted as he nodded.

"Why did you ask? Do you plan to be a priest?" 

"No. I'm just really curious..." Baekhyun bit his lip.

The priest only nodded and soon, they heard the door opening.

"Umm, am I interrupting something?"

The two looked at Chanyeol who was awkardly looking at them.

"No, of course not. Is there anything you need, Chanyeol?"

"No, Father. I thought the church was empty and the gate was just opened and so I looked inside to see if there is someone guarding it." Chanyeol scratched his nape.

"Oh, thank you." Yixing smiled at Chanyeol.

"Umm, I'll head to the monastery. See you later, Father. Bye, umm Baekhyun." Chanyeol immediately closed the door as he finished waving goodbye.

"That kid... he's too enthusiastic to be a priest." Yixing chuckled as he nodded his head.

"I've never seen a kid like Chanyeol." Baekhyun sighed.

"Yeah. His passion for spiritual vocation... it's so unexplainable."

Baekhyun only nodded as he bit his lip.

"Perhaps... are you asking me about Chanyeol?"
