“YOU WERE OFFERED WHAT?!”

“Shh, calm down,” I whispered to Suhyun. “and don’t you dare spread the word in school or I’m dead. Got it?”

“But Hayi, oh my gosh! This is a very big opportunity!”

“I know, I know. And today’s my first day at work. I better not be late.” I grabbed my things. “Talk to you later!”

“Good morning, Ms. Hye Ju.”

“Good morning Hayi, you look good today.” I tried my best to smile at her compliment. “Shall we go surprise Hanbin?”

My eyes widened. “He doesn’t know about this yet?”

“Yeah. Oh I bet he’s sleeping soundly right now.”

I gasped. “And we’re just going to barge in?”

She chuckled. “Exactly.”

“Hanbin-ah! Open the door!” Ms. Hye Ju pressed the doorbell repeatedly and not only that, she kept on knocking the door made of wood. It’s 8 in the morning and honestly it doesn’t feel good to be woken up like this.

“Hanbin-ah! At the count of three, you better open this or else—“

The door creaked open. A shirtless, sleepy Hanbin stood right in front of us.

I think the door to heaven just appeared in front of me.

And this heavenly creature’s eyes landed on me.

His sleepy face turned into an angry one.

“What on Earth are you doing here?!”

“Uhm, I-I-I’m—“

“Hanbin-ah, where are your manners? Let us have a seat first!” Ms. Hye Ju walked straight towards Hanbin’s living room and sat down like she owned the unit.

I didn’t know what to do. Should I just stay here or should I go in?

My thoughts were cut when I felt Ms. Hye Ju’s hand pull me inside. Okay then.

“Yah! What is she doing here?” 

"Oh, I have to tell you something," Ms. Hye Ju snickered. I'm not feeling good about this. "Hanbin-ah, meet Lee Hayi," she introduced me. "your personal assistant."
