“Eunjin” He mumbled all of a sudden, what in the? Even in this situation, Onew can still goof around isn’t he? This guy really…

“Onew, it’s me Jung Ah” I chuckled; for I knew when he opened his eyes he’ll say he’s only fooling around.

“Eunjin… Eunjin ah… Eunjin…Saranghae…” He mumbled

When I heard those words, it felt like someone showered me a pail of ice cold water. What he said is not true right? Eunjin is his best friend; he loves her as a best friend. That’s what he meant right? I need to understand him because he’s not in the good mental condition. That’s right, Jung Ah… no need to panic… just sit for a while…

Onew, did I do something wrong? Rather, Am I not a good girlfriend? Do I lack something Onew? We were always happy, there’s no single dull moment when you’re with me right? But you will be at your happiest moment when you’re with her. You’re day will always be complete when you hear her voice, see her smile… everything about her makes your heart skip a beat… Can’t I make you feel these things when I’m around? Can’t you look at me like the way you look at Eunjin?

“Onew.” I sighed as I looked at the ring in his hand again… did he give Eunjin the other pair? No… it can’t be… I trusted them…no…

“Hey babe!” Jonghyun waved like a smitten puppy when he saw his girlfriend with her cousin.

“Don’t give me that puppy looks of yours and help me carry these things. Aish, am gonna smack that pabo when he fluttered his eyes!” Key nagged as she gave Jonghyun some of the bags.

“No smacking, it’ll hurt your hands. By the way, his girlfriend is up in his room.” Jonghyun informed the younger

“Umma, I can’t go there… she might blame me for what happened to him.” Eunjin said nervously.

“She can’t devour you alive while I’m still here beside you.” Key assured her cousin.

“Jonghyun oppa, did you call any relatives of his? His brother would be the nearest relative he has here since he’s a doctor. I just don’t know which hospital he’s assigned.” Eunjin asked

“He has a brother?” Jonghyun asked stupidly which Key found it cute.

“Better call Eunhyuk oppa, Eunjin. Jonghyun is not in his proper mind set yet. We’ll go in the room first.” She said to the other

“Ne umma.”

“NO RUNNING OFF SOMEWHERE! You know I can find you anywhere.” Key glared her cousin before they went to Onew’s room.

“It’s room 714-D!” Jonghyun added

Lee Hyukjae oppa

“Hyukkie oppa, it’s me Eunjin…”

“Why did you call all of a sudden baby girl? Did Jinki made you angry again?” He chuckled on the other side

“Aniyo oppa… It’s… Uh… Oppa, he got into an accident and Key unnie’s boyfriend rushed him here at Seoul District Hospital around 4 in the morning.”

“He’s what?! WAIT! I’m on my way to meet an intern there. We’ll talk once I got there araso?”

“Ne… take care oppa.” She hanged up and sat down on a nearest coffee table that she saw and buried her face with her hands.

‘What the hell did I do that I got up in this situation?!’ She thought

“Perhaps banana milk could cheer my sister in law up?”

“With an additional carrot cake could make my sister smile”

“Minho oppa, Yuri unnie… why are you here?” She asked them as she helped herself with the cake and the milk.

“I’m an intern here and I was the one who treated Jinki earlier.” Yuri said as they sat beside her

“How did you know his name?” Sh asked stupidly

“Records and his wallet.” Yuri smiled at Eunjin cuteness

“What are you doing here then oppa?” She asked his brother awkwardly

“Yuri saw your picture in Onew’s wallet so she asked me some information about him since Yuri doesn’t know your phone number.

“Really…” She sighed as she continued eating.

“Seems Gwiboon pulled you here without having a breakfast.” Minho chuckled

“Shut up…” Eunjin glared his brother then continued eating.

“Eunjin, to add on what your brother said. Before, I looked at his wallet, Onew keep on mumbling Eunjin and I have this hunch that it’s you his talking about. So I called him to go here.” Yuri added

“Why would he mumble my name if he has a girlfriend anyway?” Eunjin puffed

“Maybe he’s thinking of you before the accident happened. Most cases are like that.” Yuri said

“Dammit… It’s his fault anyway why we fought last night…” She mumbled loud enough to be heard by Minho and Yuri.

“Aigoo… I better not ask the reason. You’ll not tell anyway.” Minho smirked

“Whatever…” She sighed

“Eunjin, where’s my brother?!”

“Dr. Eunhyuk… Annyeong Haseyo” Yuri bowed as soon as she saw the guy in suit

“Ah Yuri-ssi, annyeong.” He smiled at her then looked at Eunjin again

“Oppa, he’s at room 714-D.” Eunjin said

“Dr. Eunhyuk, your brother is Lee Jinki?” Yuri asked

“Yeah, he is… Oh Minho! I didn’t notice you there. ”Eunhyuk said

“Gwenchana hyung, I think we should go already to his room now so you guys can calm yourselves there.” Minho suggested

“ANDWAE!” Eunjin yelled all of a sudden

“Why Eunjin? Is there a problem?” Eunhyuk asked

“His…Jung Ah is there…”She said as she held her ring that she made as a pendant so no one could notice that Jinki gave it to her.

“C’mon, Key will eat her alive before she could touch you.” Minho said as he held her sisters hand as they waited for the elevator doors to be opened.

“Once I saw Jinki, am gonna strangle him…”Eunhyuk chuckled

“Oppa~ Jinki’s on the verge of death! How in the world you could say that?!” Eunjin said

“Sorry… I won’t kill your future husband Eunjin ah!” He smiled as he ruffled her bangs.

Once the doors opened the least person Eunjin was expecting to see appeared right in front of her, Lee Jung Ah, Onew’s girlfriend. Awkwardness filled the air when Jung Ah went out of the elevator and Eunjin went inside, then something caught Jung Ah’s eyes… Eunjin’s pendant. All Jung Ah could do is to stare at the pendant until the doors closed.

“That’s Onew’s girlfriend isn’t it?” Minho asked

“Yes… she’s in the same school as yours Minho.” Eunhyuk said

“Eunjin is prettier that her… wonder what Onew saw in her.” Yuri said to ease Eunjin’s feelings.

“Unnie, stop it…” Eunjin said as she let out a loud sigh

“Why is she staring at your necklace?” Minho asked

“I don’t know…” Eunjin shrugged

Whatever the reason is… we’re here already.” Eunhyuk said as he went out of the elevator followed by the others.

“Dr. Eunhyuk, here is the medical report of patient Lee Jinki.” The nurse said as she hands it to the former.

“I’ll read this in his room…”Eunhyuk said then went to the room.

“I don’t want to go inside…” Eunjin said as she slowly walked towards the room.

“I suggest better walk fast or Key will make a scandal here that you’ll never forget.” Minho said as he held her sister’s hand tightly.

When they reached the room itself, no one would want to open the door first. Too much anticipation on what would be Eunjin’s reaction? Or they care for Eunjin so much that they can’t bring themselves to open the door.

“What? We would wait until the sunset before we open the door?” Yuri said sarcastically.

“Let’s go inside…” Eunhyuk said as he opened the door.

“Oh, annyeong Eunhyuk oppa…” Key greeted

“Aigoo, Gwiboonie! It’s been a long time since I last saw you! How have you been?” Eunhyuk said as he went inside of the room.

“I’m fine oppa haha! It seems that you’re already a doctor” Key said

“Successful as I can be!” He bluffed

“Whatever, by the way meet Jonghyun my boyfriend.” She introduced

“Oh… hello, I’m Eunhyuk. Jinki’s brother.” He introduced

“Nice to meet you” Jonghyun smiled

“Yuri-ssi! I’m gonna ask you something.” Eunhyuk called her to get inside

“Ah ne!” She said as she went inside

“Where’s Eunjin?” Key asked

“At the door with Minho… she doesn’t want to enter inside.” Yuri said

“Aish this girl…”Key said and went to the door to pull the girl inside

“UMMA~” She whined as she was being pulled by Key.

“Eunjin…”

“Why the need to pull?” She huffed as she sat at the sofa facing the wall. She still can’t bear to see her best friend.

“Eunjin…”

“He reacts when he hears Eunjin’s voice…” Eunhyuk said

“I told you, he’s looking for you…”Jonghyun said to Eunjin

“Better face this chicken head… before he fell into a coma or what…”Eunhyuk said

“What coma? Are you scaring me?!” Eunjin said, stuttering

“According to his report, He still hasn’t waked up… once he didn’t wake up within the 12 hour range, there’s a possibility that he might fall into a coma which could lead to… that… the only thing we could hold on is you, Eunjin. He responds when he hears your voice…” Yuri explained

“Eunjin…” Onew mumbled again

‘It is now or never…’ Eunjin sighed before she faces Jinki. She could expect a very worst scene she could see in her entire life and she was right. Tears suddenly fall in her eyes like the drops of rain falling outside the hospital window the moment she saw Jinki’s vulnerable situation.

“Jinki…” She spoke softly as she went towards to him, and as if by chance Jinki responded to her call.

“Eunjin…” He mumbled softly

“Shh… I’m here okay?” She said, trying to hide the fact that she’s crying already.

“Saranghae, Eunjin…”
