James walked across the hallway a few feet then opened up the wooden door which led into his apartment. He tossed his jacket onto the ground, slipped his shoes off and went into the kitchen to get something to drink. By the time he got there he put Kris on speaker.

"Look Hyung, I didn't mean to bother you at this time of hour, but I really need your help."

James opened up the fridge and took out a container of orange juice.

"Are you drinking again?"

Kris asked in a sternly voice.

"No I am not. I'm just in my fridge getting some OJ. Only that."

James said.

"I'm sorry. I can't help but wonder since you haven't seen your counsellor for some time ."

" that Kris, You know I am not one for counselors kid."

James drank from the bottle itself. It tasted sweet but he really craved the strong flavor of alcohol. At this point he'd give anything for wine, even if it was just a sip, But he's sure Kris won't let that happened. The last time he drank a pack if beers, he almost went on national TV and confess his love for Jessica, and if it weren't for Kris and Jason (Impaction's Maknae), he was sure he is going to be in deep right now.

He could hear kris sigh over the phone seemingly frustrated.

"I don't like counsellors as much as the next guy either, heck, I almost punch the hell out of that stupid manager who kept annoy me about going to see a counsellor after I left EXO, but it's the only way you are going to be able to get through this. I've had my fair share of drinking problems until Jia convinced me to go get some help. You've been doing great so far. What's up with you?"

James pondered in his thoughts for a moment then propped up a chair to the kitchen counter. By now he already swigged half of the 2 gallon orange juice bottle. He could feel his nerves tense with agitation. It wasn't entirely directed at kris though for he knew it was the cravings coming back to haunt him.

"I have been....having those dreams again. It keeps coming back to haunt me in my sleep, and when I keep look at myself in the mirror, I keep seeing Him."

The phone went quiet for a moment and James found himself eating a bag of crackers.

"So I take it you are having a bad dream?"

"No, not exactly. I just want to forget and move on."

"We all do James. It's the past, you need to moved on. If you asked me, I'm pretty sure he is proud of your status now. I have nightmares too, not as same as you, but all of us are fighters and we can adapt to the nightmares."

James stopped eating and then looked over towards the door leading outside of the hall of his apartment.

Until today, he still hasn't told Jessica about his big secret. Only a handful of people knows about this, including Kris, Baekhyun, s and his boss, Yang Hyun-Suk.He closes his eyes and laid his head on the counter, breathing slowly and trying to throw the thoughts of Jessica looking at him with disgust after knowing about it.

"Kris, I spoon feed what you just told me to Jessica all the time, and I can't even follow my own advice. I'm a huge ing hypocrite."

"Nah, I wouldn't say you are a hypocrite.Hyung, you're the kind of guy that puts others first before yourself. You're probably telling Jessica all that stuff because you put her before you. Dara-Noona called me just now and told me that you are having a one year vacation, which I know you are doing this for her. It's just who you are."

"You're probably right kid…"

Kris breathed in yet another sigh. He could sense that James was burying himself in a pit and he didn't want to be the one to trigger a booze episode,  as he called it.

Other than the "Almost confessing his loves to Jessica on national TV"incident, the other time he caught Leon drunk he nearly tore Kris's head off.

Kris considered himself to be a big guy compared to James since he was slightly taller than him, but even as his judgment was impaired, He still carried a bruise from their fight a few months back. He then thought that perhaps changing the subject might snap him out of it.

"So...Hyung, you know I got a role in a new Hollywood movie, right?"

Don't tell me you are calling just to boost about that."

"I take that as a yes." Kris replied. "Anyway, the director just contacted me just now and said that one of the lead actors got into a car accident this morning and has to dropped off from the movie, s-"

"So you Want me to go and audition for the role."

James cut Kris off.

"Precisely."

"Kid, I'm taking a one year break."

"From music, not acting."

"What will the fans think of me doing a movie with you, you know that many netizens will hate you for it."

"Let them. Besides, you are not going to be affected by it anyway, you're the scandal king after all."

"I haven't ask my boss yet."

"He treats you like you're his own son, I'm sure he's going to let you."

"But I have to take care of Jessica."

"Then go ask the producer and let her be in the movie in a supporting role, what's the difference?"

".......I hate you kid."

"I never said I like you either."

James sighed in defeated. The big annoying giant was always right. He thought of the offer for awhile before looking at the door which leads to the hallway.

"I don't know Kris."

"Common't Hyung. Just this once. It's an action movie which you will be perfect for. I heard that Chris Evans will be part of the cast too."

"How about Jessica?"

"Like I said, don't worry about it, I'm sure the producer is going to offer her role if you convince him. The old guy is actually very kind."

"Ok Kris, you win."

James said in a deafened tone.

"Woo~~! Ten points for the giant!"

James shook his head and smile. He can imagine Kris grinning proudly on the other side of the lime.

"I'm gonna ask Jessica about it first before I give you my decision."

"Hey Hyung, how about you use this holiday time to confess to her like hoe I confess to Jia, Heck I would, I mean, if it's Jia anyway."

Kris laugh enthusiastically at his own statement. James shook his head and chuckled.

He smiled to himself. He recalled Kris and Jia finally giving it a shot to date each other after 2 years.The first they met, it was not possible that you didn't see the spark in their eyes when they first met eye contact, and finally after 2 years, Kris finally found his balls to confess to her, even though they both believe it won't work out he couldn't help but feel hope for them.

"I'm not sure that's a wise choice. Besides, she still has Ty-"

"Tyler  Kwon."

Kris couldn't help but to be angry. When Jessica first told him that she was dating Tyler, he was happy for her but sad for James since he knew that he likes her.

But one time, when he was out on a date with Jia in Hong Kong, they saw him kissing a beautiful woman in front them. So they tell it to Jessica and try to convince her to break up with him, but it's Jessica we're talking about, of course she wouldn't listen. To Kris, Tyler was bad news to Jessica and James.

"If I were you Leon, personally, I would put my balls back in their position, straighten my body, buy a bouquet of flower and confess to her ."

Chris jokingly commented trying to take his mind off his negative thoughts.

"Kris, you know that's impossible."

"You're James Park Dongchul Hyung. The so called "King of K-Pop" and "King of Asia"; there is nothing you can't handle when it comes to the opposite ."

"Jessica just sees me as a brother."

"So was Jia and look at us now."

"Kris, it's complicated."

"How so?"

James shook his head and rested his forehead into the palm of his hands.

"So do you still like her or not?"

"I'm not sure kid…"

"So you have feelings for her? You know maybe if you told her you had alcoholism it might help you out. You're both going through a rough time, why not share it?"

"I'm not sure why we are having this conversation."

Kris could tell he stumbled on some cautious enemy ground. He knew now based on James's tone he was entering dangerous waters. Perhaps another time would be good but he always thought James should man up and just go and confess to her.

"Alright. Well I hate to cut everything short but I need to get going or I am going to miss my flight back to China. Just don't miss forget about the offer and I'll leave you alone for a while okay?"

"You promise you will?"

"Ha-ha as if Hyung. Catch you later!"

With that Kris hung up and the apartment fell silent.

"Aish...That giant."

James got up from the kitchen counter and walked over to his sofa and laid down. His hand reached for the remote and soon the TV was blaring with some random show. He never did watch TV a lot except for watching some news, dramas, reality shows and movies, but he'd usually put it on for background noise while he did other tasks in the apartment. Also watching TV just brought up bad memories most of the time concerning his previous relationships.

He recalled the time he and Maria Sharapova tried renting movies only to bicker and eventually fight about which actor played whom in previous films. James smirked to himself thinking now it was probably one of the most idiotic fights he ever encountered in his love life. He couldn't complain though, Maria made up for their arguing in how gorgeous she looked.

Yes, he dated the one and only beautiful Russian tennis player, Maria Sharapova. James found himself staring up at the ceiling thinking back about their relationship.

They first met during the 2011 Korean Tennis open where he and Impaction were invited to perform. He didn't know what happened, but when he first made eye contact with the Russian beauty who was sitting at the stands watching him perform, he could feel sparks flying And his heart beats racing as he stare at her.

While the rest of s left due to their busy schedules, James was the only one free so he stayed and watched her perform. Even though he is a big fan of tennis, his eyes and mind weren't actually on the game, but on the beautiful Russian tennis player who would always make a funny grunt sound every time she hits the tennis ball, which he found a bit cute.

After the match, he was asked by one of the staff if he wants to do an interview with them, and James, who was still thinking about that beautiful Russian girl, answered yes without hesitation, without even asking his manager.

After the interview, he finally had the guts to talk to her and was surprised when she revealed that she was a big fan of him. They quickly became friends and exchange phone numbers before he left.

After a few days, he had set up a date with Maria. He remembered being so anxious and excited to see her again and it didn't take long before their chemistry sparked and turned intense. They skipped out on the date and pretty much went straight for the nearest room.

James couldn't help but smile, it was probably one of the most intense moments of his adulthood, at least when it came to love and all. It went on like this for couple of months before they finally went public with their relationship. The media and fans were so shock, that they became the most famous couple in Korea. They never thought that a Korean K-Pop singer and a Russian Tennis player could ever date. While some fans were angry at this, many were happy for them and wished them a good relationship.

where they couldn't keep their hands off each other. Even in public it was hard not to kiss her full lips and gaze into her beautiful eyes longingly.

Despite how great the chemistry was, it only took 2 years for it to dissolve into nothing. Due to Maria needing to travel the world to play tennis in several countries and James having need to stay in Korea, they didn't met that much. Although they always call and text each other everyday, it wasn't the same feeling when you get to meet your girlfriend face to face. So finally after 24 months of dating, Maria finally decided to break their relationship up and left.

After telling the public about their break up,James and Maria didn't speak for months at a time. It was only when James almost kill himself during a drunken fit did she come to comfort him at least until he checked himself into a rehab.

A few months later, Maria found a boyfriend and moved on but from time to time she would call James up to ask how his life was doing. Even though he was still sad about it, James finally move on from the break up and wishes her and Grigor Dimitrov, her new boyfriend a happy relationship.

James closed his eyes and slowly began to drift off. He knew he had errands to take care of but with the stress of his past coming to him and his urge of thirst for alcohol, he allowed himself this time to sleep peacefully with the sound of the film Maria and him use to watch playing in the background.

It didn't occur to him that Jessica was by the door the entire time and heard what was going on. She had a sad look upon her face as she walked back to her apartment to finish up the rest of her cleaning.
