Jisun, who have recently seen her husband lifelessly on the ground after continuous beatings, was carried to the hospital despite her struggling wanting to stay beside Baekhyun. She lost her strength to fight any longer was carried to a separate ambulance. 

There, she fell something cold being inserted into her arm and the next thing she knew her eyes were getting heavier every second eventually closing shut. 

~Meanwhile~

"How's his pulse?" the man in the ambulance asked but got a disappointing respond

"We lost it" the nurse panicked but tried to stay as calm as she could, continously pressing her hand on his chest trying to recieve a positive respond but it hasn't been responding to her actions. 

It has been at least 10 minutes and they were still unable to get a pulse from Baekhyun. They were about to announce him dead when the Heart Rate monitor start beeping at a constant rate suprising everyone in the ambulance, they got back to do what they were doing. One was checking to confirm that his pulse has returned.

"Sir, please hang in there, we'll be arriving at the hospital shortly" Baekhyun's eyes were still close but he could hear everything

"J..Jisun?" he spoke under the oxygen mask, this may be the last time he mention this name...

Baekhyun and Jisun was pushed towards the emergency room within minutes after they were brought to the hospital. Baekhyun continuously called with the remaining strength he had. The nurse assured Baekhyun that Jisun was fine but that didn't stop him.

Jisun's condition wasn't critical but Baekhyun was almost deadly, the attacker had attack Baekhyun on his head causing him to bleed externally and internally, he had to undergo surgery to clog the burst vessel to prevent loss of blood. He had to undergo surgery on his brain too due to some damage from the attack. 

The doctor injected a sleeping medicine causing Baekhyun to feel drowsy before passing out..

The doctors proceeded with Baekhyun's surgery while the nurse took care of Jisun's scratches

Jisun slowly open her eyes to find herself staring at a bright light. She blinked a couple of time adjusting to the brightness of her surrounding, eventually her vision came back to her. She didn't remember much of what happen except the fact that Baekhyun was hurt.

She jumped out of bed almost immediately as she panicked trying to find him but was then stopped by the nurse who was checking on her

"Ma'am please stay in bed, you have to rest"

"Where's Baekkie?" Jisun completely ignored the nurse's suggestion and kept asking her where Baekhyun was.

"He's fine, please go back to bed"

"Let me see him" Jisun commanded

"Very well.." the nurse finally gave it and help her to a sit on a wheel chair.

The nurse pushed the wheel chair towards Baekhyun's ward where he layed there lifelessly not moving a single inch. The only thing that assures Jisun that he was alive were the mist forming on the oxygen mask whenever he breathes

Seeing Baekhyun in such a state cause her eyes to flood with tears.

"Baek..kie.." She reached out to his cold cheeks but receiving no response from the latter. Shortly she broke down in tears continously calling out for him...

Her tears were interupted by the sound of the ward door opening and closing.

The doctor had came to check up on him but was surprised to see a guest "Oh I'm sorry, I wasn't expecting a visitor" the doctor said with a kind smile but something about her smile seems a little bit off.. 

"You're the patient from room 013 am I right, um.."

"Byun Jisun" Jisun told her while trying to keep her shaking voice steady

"Oh are you Mr Byun's wife?" she asked and Jisun replied with a nod

"How is he? Please tell me everything will be fine" Jisun asked the doctor with pleading eyes but the respond she got had c
