Narrator POV

Jisun lay on the bed resting her head on the hospital pillow as Baekhyun sad on the mini dining table in the corner typing on his computer, he decided to work in the hospital instead of going to the office because Jisun won't be discharged until tomorrow when everything was confirmed

Jisun shift to the side and turned to face Baekhyun who was focusing on his laptop. 

"Baekkie-ah~" she called out making him look away from his computer, seeing Jisun was facing him he stood up and went to her side. He bend down to make their eye sight at the same level, before he moved his hand within the railing of the bed gently caressing her hair with his palm 

"What is it? Do you need something?" his soothing voice was like a lullaby in her ear.

Jisun held Baekhyun's hand that was on her head. "You know you don't have to stay all the time, I can ask Chanyeol to come over"

"I want to be the one to protect you, not anyone else. I promised" 

"You just rejected a meeting about a contract worth of 100 million won..." Jisun frowned 

~~Flashback~~

Baekhyun was helped to take out the plastic that wrapped around the bowl of the hospital food when there was a knock on the door, shortly the door opened revealing one of subordinates from Baekhyun's office.

They both bowed at each other before he spoke up

"I'm sorry sir, but I can't seem to reach your phone so I was ask to come here to inform you that there will be a meeting in an hour time."

"I won't be attending" he said simply

"But sir, this is about an investment of 100 million won"

"I said I won't be going, now please leave" Baekhyun said sternly raising his voice just a slight

"Baekhyun..." Jisun stare at her husband slightly shocked that he had rejected the offer without a second thought

"My apologies" he bowed before heading out the door

"Let it be a billion or trillion and I would reject it as long as I know I can keep you safe. To me nothing is more valuable than you, I can always get other offers in the future but there's only one girl that I would want and its you and I don't want to lose you" he spoke sincerely as he stood up to plant a kiss on her forehead just over her bangs.
