In the past.....

Junmyeon finished putting on Kyungsoo’s shirt, ruffling little Soo’s hair, he smiled at the pout Kyungsoo gave him. “Jongin?” Junmyeon shouted out.

“I got him.” Yifan came in carrying Jongin sideways, Jongin’s giggles filling the room. “No, no!” He shouted as he was thrown on the bed. “No shirt!!!”

“Then Luhan is going to see you !” Junmyeon answered as he looked for Jongin’s shirt. Three  months had passed since they joined Mama, and while they had met Minseok, they weren’t going to meet Luhan until today. “He’s sleeping,” Minseok had told them when they asked “You guys will meet when he’s awake and well.”

“The blue one! The Blue One!” Jongin yelled in excitement.

“Okay, okay blue one.” Junmyeon handed Yifan the shirt and little Jongin allowed him to put it on. The 7 yr old Jongin had taken a liking to Yifan. The young Prince of Kael had become somewhat of an older brother to the younger, and even though he had Junmyeon, “no one was cooler than his dragon hyung!”

“ Ok, we're ready.” Yifan said putting on Jongin’s shoes. “Let's go. “ Luhan was kept on the south side of the west wing along with Minseok. It was a fall back, incase Luhan lost complete control, Minseok would freeze the entire room. Unlike everyone else Minseok was the only one with complete control over his powers. Yifan was close, but the young Prince would insist in not pushing his boundaries,”It gets a little….crazy...” he would say. No one pressed him for answers, and Minseok had just nodded his head in understanding.  Looking at the big hand of his hyung, Jongin wondered if Luhan had that same level of control. As they got closer to the room at the end of the south hall, though Jongin couldn’t help the feeling of loneliness in the air. He grabbed onto Kyungsoo’s hand and squeezed tight. Kyungsoo squeezed back feeling the same thing. “Ok we’re here. “ Yifan said stopping at the door.

“Jongin, Kyungsoo, please behave and remember inside voices.” Junmyeon said crouching down a bit to speak with them.

“Ok hyung.” Both boys replied and Yifan opened the door.

“Remember to drink your tea after you eat Luhan.”

“Yes Mama.”

“And don’t walk around or anything, oh! Junmyeon.”

“Hello Mama,” Junmyeon and Yifan bowed,” boys.”

“Hello Mama,” Jongin and Kyungsoo said quietly Mama smiled at the two shy boys.

“Don’t make too much noise alright? . Luhan has to sleep soon.”

“Yes Mama.” The two replied quietly. Mama just smiled and ruffled their hair. “I will see you all later, alright?” She said walking out of the room and closing the door behind her. Everyone remained quiet as Luhan grabbed his utensils to start eating. As soon as he started eating he smiled at Minseok and eyed the newcomers. “You can speak comfortably now she’s gone.”

“Uggh, finally.”  Minseok said flopping down on the bed. He smiled at the two boys and patted the space beside him. “C’mon you two Luhan has the best bed out of all of us.” Jongin and Kyungsoo smiled brightly and looked at Junmyeon, who nodded in approval.

”Yay!” They both yelled as the jumped on the bed.

“Hey guys! Not too loud!’

“ Haha it’s ok Junmyeon. I’m actually happy it's lively here. Oh, sorry my brain is ahead of me, i’m Luhan the telepath.”

“And telekinetic.” Minseok added.

“Shh! That was one time!” Luhan said taking a bite out of his bread.

“More like five times.” Minseok said taking the bread for himself and breaking it into pieces. He left the larger portion to Luhan and gave smaller pieces to Jongin and Kyungsoo which they happily took. “Thank you!”

“Mama has been cutting down the food supply to you too, huh?” Luhan asked.

“How did you-” Luhan pointed to his head and Junmyeon smiled, “Right.”

“C’mon eat this is too much for me anyways. She only cares that I drink the tea.”

“What’s in it? “Yifan asked taking some fruits. Minseok maneuvered the two boys to sit in front of the tray and they happily helped Luhan eat his pancakes.

“A sedative. It shuts me down completely. Can’t even read in my sleep like before, the only benefit is that at least the headaches stopped.” he said smiling down at the two boys. “Don’t you just love children. Their minds have no worries, they only care for the food. Ah! Chew slowly Kyungsoo.” Kyungsoo looked up and smiled a quick silent exchange going on between him and Luhan. Whatever it was made Luhan’s smile bloom. Jongin seemed to join in and soon all of three of them were laughing and talking to each other as if  the other three in the room could hear. Minseok smiled and reached to dip a piece of bread in the tea. Luhan seemed to stop the conversation as he looked at Minseok expectantly.

“Enough to knock you out for a month.”

“She wants me out of the way.”

“She’s gonna have visitors.” Yifan added. “More minds to read.”

“Can’t you turn it off?” Junmyeon asked from his chair. Luhan gave him a small smile and offered an orange.

“Sometimes.”

“No! Don’t drink it hyung! We’ll make sure you sleep well.” Jongin quickly offered sitting on his knees.

“Yeah, our minds are calm like you said! We’ll keep you calm too!” Kyungsoo quickly said. Luhan smiled at the two and nodded his head. Looking towards Minseok his smile faltered.

“I have to take a sip.” Luhan said reaching for the cup. Minseok looked away never agreeing with Mama’s decisions. Luhan took a gulp of the tea and instantly felt the sedative on his tongue. Minseok quickly moved the table the food was on and Jongin and Kyungsoo moved to Luhan’s sides. They quickly snuggled up to him, wrapping their little arms around him, making Luhan laugh. “Sleep you two.” he ruffled their and smiled at the two.

“Hyung,”

“Yes Jongin?”

“We’ll be here when you wake up.” Luhan kept looking at Jongin and smiled at him as his vision began to blur. The dosage was larger this time he could feel, he’d be out for more than a month.

‘We’ll be here hyung, we’ll be here when you wake up.’

7yrs later....

The light shining through Luhan’s eyelids stung a bit, putting his arm over his face he started to turn to sleep some more until he felt a hold tighten around him. Opening his eyes 19yr old Luhan looked down to see a 14yr old Jongin wrapped around him, snoring lightly. Smiling to himself Luhan peeked into Jongin’s mind only to burst out laughing at the boy’s dream.

“Hyung too early……”

“Hahahahaa” Luhan attempted to muffle his giggles, but his body just shook some more.

“You read my mind didn’t you?” Jongin said in a slurred, sleepy voice.

“I’m sorry.” Luhan said trying to contain his giggles. Clearing his throat he looked down at Jongin. Having his eyes closed, wavy hair well tousled; Luhan couldn’t help, but smile at the boy he now considers a little brother. Hearing the door open he looks up to see his other little brother, “Good morning Kyungsoo.” he says with a smile. Kyungsoo giggles, “Hyung its lunch time.” Luhan just smiles.” Three days.” Kyungsoo answers the silent question Luhan was asking. The latter just nods his head. Reading through Kyungsoo’s mind before the younger locks him out.

“Oh Sehun? He’s a prince?” Luhan asks breaking his mindlink and waking up Jongin for lunch.
“Yes Mama has been hiding her own son. We’re going to meet him today, would you like to come?” Kyungsoo walked to the side of the bed to help Luhan up. With a sleepy Jongin they both wrapped an arm around the older and helped him walk out of the room.

“Sure! I’d like to meet him!” Luhan said with a bright smile on his face.

“We told you hyung, we’ll be here when you wake up.” Jongin said smiling sleepily up at Luhan. Luhan couldn’t help, but smile back at him. The warmth that took over his body was enough to calm him and his mind.

“Yeah you always will be.”
