Chapter Five

The door to the chopper was open even before it fully landed on the helipad at the Bellagio. TOP ran to the door and handed GD a folder.
“Tell me what you know, TOP” GD demanded. “She’s been working at the Blue Moon diner for the past two years. She lives in an apartment complex 20 minutes away and is holding down two jobs. In the morning, she washes hair at the salon near her place and in the afternoons she works at the diner as a waitress”, TOP reported.
“And?”, GD asked. “And reports doesn’t show that she’s involved with anyone as of the moment”, TOP answered.
“Good”, GD smiled. He saw TOP hesitate and asked, “What is it?”.
“Jiyong, she has a son.”
Meanwhile
“Mama! You’re home!”, Dara’s little bundle of energy greeted her at the door after her shift at the diner. “What are you still doing up? You should be sleeping, baby” Dara chided.
“I’m not a baby anymore, Mama! I’m now four” her son, Ji-hoon answered. “Oh yes, you’re right. You’re the man of the house now huh?” Dara joked. She watched as he puffed his chest in pride. She ruffled his hair and placed a kiss on top of his head.
“Maya, thank you for watching over Ji-hoon.” Dara thanked her baby sitter. “It was no problem, Mrs. Pyo”, Maya answered. “I’ll go ahead now. And you, Ji-hoon be good to your mama, okay? I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“Mama, why does Maya call you Mrs. Pyo? Isn’t your name Park?”, her little boy asked. “It’s complicated, baby. I will explain it to you when you’re a little older okay?” she answered. “Okay, Mama”, Ji-hoon said.
“It’s bed time my Ji-hoon. Did you brush your teeth?”, she asked. “Yes, Mama. Tuck me in and read me a bed time story?” “Sure, baby”, Dara answered. No matter how tired she is, she will always have time to tuck and read a story to her little boy. Her precious Ji-hoon.
As her baby slept, Dara looked at his face ‘Ji-hoon looks so much like his father’. His birth was very difficult. He came in weeks early and she had a lot of complications during her pregnancy. As she was pushing her baby out, she allowed herself to say the name she swore she would never utter “Jiyong! I need Jiyong”, she cried. Shaking her
