“But Karam-ah, you know, there is only Jaejoong in my heart.”

“Always has been and always will be.”

Karam couldn’t even begin to process his words. Why is he suddenly saying all these? His heart breaks a little inside at Yunho’s words. He knows, he has always known. He has always known that there is only Jaejoong in his heart however it still hurts to hear it directly from him. However, to hear Yunho says it so straightforwadly without any sort of sugarcoating at all, hurts even more than expected.

“Yunho hyung…”

“I am sorry, Karam-ah, really.”

There’s nothing but silence left in between them for awhile.

Slowly but surely, Karam tidies up his own emotions before finally letting out a small smile.

What should he reply? But he finally settles with,

“I know, Yunho-hyung, I know.”

He had no intention of coming in between them at all, even from the start. He only knows that he habours feeling for Yunho but he does not have any thought of acting on them.

His own heartache aside, he couldn’t help but notice that Yunho’s totally off today. He doesn’t respond even after Karam’s words, but still continues staring out at the river. The Yunho that he knows has always been so caring towards others and he wouldn’t intentionally disrespects someone like this.

Karam couldn’t help but asks,

“Did something happen? Yunho Hyung?”

Karam tries, feeling like he is threading on eggshells.

He can see Yunho’s eyes harden at that question, but it is only for a moment before he calms down again. He grabs his coat as he stands up.

“Karam-ah, thanks for accompanying me. But I have to go now.”

Karam is immediately on his feet.

“What? Yunho-hyung, you sure that you are alright? You don’t want to talk about it?”

“Uh uh, yeah no worries. I’ll see you in school.”

Jaejoong is worried sick. He received a text from Junsu saying that Yunho had just stomped out of the club without any explanation. Only thing he said is that Yunho looked livid. From then on, Jaejoong has been trying to text and call Yunho but he does not pick up his phone.  His gut feelings tell him that it definitely has something to do with the earlier incident. But how? How could Yunho know when he has not even told him? Lots of questions are running through his mind and Jaejoong has no answers for them.

All in all, Jaejoong feels like as being forced on is never a nice feeling. He desperately wants to get home now and he needs to get to Yunho as soon as possible.

‘That’s it.’ Jaejoong thinks. He has to go.

Heechul and gang are out somewhere, he cannot wait until they are back so he drops them a text as he shoves all his belongings into his camping bag. After successfully sending the text, Jaejoong dails for a taxi.

The taxi arrives 15 minutes later, Jaejoong is exiting his room when Heechul and gang return back to the cabin. They head back after seeing the text from Jaejoong.

“Just what is happening Jae?”

“I have to get on the cab now, explain to you on my way back to seoul. I’ll call you ‘kay?”

He rushes off after having said that. Heechul could not help but think something must have happened during his meeting with Seo Tae Suk.  ‘Bastard.’ Heechul scolds under his breath.

After getting on the cab, Jaejoong’s phone signals off again. This time, the text is from Karam.

‘Jaejoong-hyung, I don’t know what had happened but Yunho Hyung’s really off after receiving a text from someone. Do contact him soon yeah? We are all really worried.’

Damn it. Someone must be behind all these.

He tries dailing his number again and again and also sending one message after another, but still, not even one reply came.

‘Please, Yunho-yah, answer your phone.’

After another three hours long of car ride, Jaejoong is finally back to their apartment. It’s 5am in the morning, he has not been able to get any sleep during the ride, his mind keeps thinking about Yunho. He can only hope that he is home the very least.

He is trying to open his door when a hand stops him in track.

Jaejoong’s heart almost stopped when he realises who this is.

It’s Yunho.

5am in the morning, smelling like ciggarettes and alcohol.

“Jae.” He calls.

Jaejoong’s eyes well up upon hearing his voice.

There’s a commotion in school today.

Everybody in the school is talking about the hottest topic that has been floating around—

The breakup of Yunho and Jaejoong.

“YAH WHAT?! You and Yunho hyung broke up?! How did that happen! Just what happened when I was drunk? You two are the last ones I will ever think of that happening!” Yoochun is beyond shocked after hearing that from Jaejoong. He knew something was not right this morning when Jaejoong came into class, looking like he hasn’t been sleeping for days. But this?! He never expects that this will actually happen!

Junsu scoots closer to Jaejoong too, tugging some loose pieces of hair behind his ears as a form comfort.

“Jaejoongie hyung, really?” His voice soft and gentle as he asks.

Jaejoong, with his eyes glued to the floor, says

“Almost, we had a big fight. But I guess it’s going to happen sooner or later.”

“Hyung, don’t think like this! But I knew that something was wrong that night when Yunho hyung walked out of the club, fuming, that night. Just what exactly has happened?” He knows that these two hyungs have such a good, loving relationship that they don’t even fight. He couldn’t imagine what might have caused them to be on the verge of breaking up.

“Seo Tae Suk kissed me that night and apparently, someone took a picture and sent it to Yunho.” Jaejoong replies, eyes still on the floor.

“WHAT?! That bastard he actually—! But I am sure that you don’t feel that way for him right? Did you try telling Yunho Hyung?” Junsu probes further, he had heard about Seo Tae Suk and his advances towards Jaejoong too. However he thought that was over a long time ago. So this Seo Tae Suk is still taking chances!

“Su, I’ve tried. Yunho is too mad to listen. He’d even moved back to his Dad’s place yesterday, saying that he needs some time to cool down.”

Yoochun couldn’t help but say,

“But Yunho hyung is usually better than that. I’m sure that he will come around after cooling down yeah?”

“I have a feeling that this time round he won’t.”

“Hyung! Don’t lose hope! Yunho hyung loves you too much to break up with you just over some petty misunderstanding.”

“Hah, maybe this is a good chance for me to re-think our relationship too. He has always been too overprotective sometimes and I am already getting sick of it. Well, we have finally reached this stage don’t we.”

He then grabs his bag and exits the classroom after saying that.

“Oh no, Chun, what do we do..” 

“I don’t know too Su…”

Jaejoong thinks about everything that has happened over the past few days and he couldn’t help but think that everything is in a mess. He did not have much sleep starting from Saturday night where he rushes back from the campsite. Yesterday was crazy too and the lack of sleep is starting to take a toll on his body.

Right then, he pauses on his steps as he sees Yunho walking down from the opposite side of the corridor. He does not look good too, especially with that cold façade that Jaejoong finds so unfamiliar.

He would’ve expect Yunho to at least acknowledge him for abit, but nothing came. Not even a glance or anything of sort. He simply walks past him without saying anything, simply walks past him like he doesn’t exist.

This feeling is awful.

He presses his lips into a tight line before quickening his steps and walking away.

Little did they know that their whole exchange was witness by someone else.

“So… that’s all to them? I have expected more those two.”

The person smirks as he thinks to himself.
