It was easy to track Jimin’s scent: the perks of being his mate. Nevertheless, Jungkook was running as fast as he could because he was worried: what if Jimin does something stupid like crossing a street without looking? Also, he couldn’t let another misunderstanding happen. Enough was enough.

He was surprised when he noticed that Jimin’s scent led him out of the school gates. He found Jimin sitting on the sideway curb of an alley, next to the school. His head was between his knees as he was visibly crying.

Jimin noticed his arrival and instantly frowned. The omega cleaned his face with the back of his hands, and then he perked his back and stood up. All the tears were gone. Jungkook was greeted with cold eyes. - “What? – the omega snapped -  It’s all clear, Jungkook, soon we are going to perform the dance to –“

Jungkook held Jimin by his shoulders and shook him, looking him right in the eyes. – “Jimin, look at me. Look at me, for real.” – His eyes were soft - “I’m here, Jimin. I’m here, right in front of you. I’m here with you. I’m here. Jimin, can you actually see me here? I’ll never want to leave you. Can you do that? For me?

Jimin looked up at him, speechless. Jungkook kept saying that, like a chant, looking him in the eyes. Until he saw Jimin’s eyes changing from coldness to wild surprise and then to doubt.

Jungkook’s grip got tighter and his eyes a little stern: “Jimin, this was the last time you ran away from me! I can’t accept it anymore. Never leave me like that. You can yell at me, hit me, diss me, curse, complain, I don’t care, but you will keep by my side, no matter what. No matter how stupid I get, no matter how clumsy I am with feelings. No matter how afraid or angry you get. You stick with me, you never leave my side, understand?”

Jimin’s legs gave away, but Jungkook’s hold was firm. He brought the omega’s head to lean on his chest and caressed his hair, the omegas scent so sweet and perfect for him.

Although Jimin’s arms were stiff by his sides, Jungkook let away a sigh of great relief: oh, we waited so much to hold him this close.
