Chapter 8 - New Beginnings?

I Will Forget You

Chapter 8 – New Beginnings?

Kyuhyun sighed a breath of relief after playing his new comeback song on Inkigayo without a single mistake. The fans had cheered happily, glad to see that this comeback would actually have promotions within Korea. He smiled at the thought and went to his dressing room. As he walked down the hallway, his mind flew elsewhere.

“Should I buy Yesung some cake,” he muttered to himself, staring at the floor. Wait, why would I buy Yesung—

He suddenly bumped into a very muscular body, nearly knocking him down. Luckily, said muscular body quickly caught him and pulled him up. “I’m so sorry,” Kyuhyun exclaimed, bowing his head down.

The other started to chuckle, wondering why this man would be apologizing so profusely when he was the one at fault. “It’s fine, it was my fault anyways,” the man said in a thick American accent.

Kyuhyun looked up and met the eyes of a Korean-American man dressed in a light blue button up and vest with a pair of white pants. His blonde hair swooped across his face, nearly covering his chocolate brown eyes. “You’re Mr. Cho, aren’t you,” he said, reaching out his hand for a shake. Kyuhyun hesitantly took it and shook it back before pulling his hands close to his side. As much as he experienced much of the American culture, he never truly got used to it. “I have been a f-fan for s-such a l-long t-time! I am so happy!”

His broken Korean made Kyuhyun smile if only for just a second. Taking pity on the guy, he decided to respond back in the other’s native language. “Yes, yes I am,” he muttered, trying hard to ignore his own thick Korean accent. “Thank you for being my fan. Your name is?”

The man was shocked, but glad that the other was speaking in English. Then he remembered, the man had spent two some years in America. “Oh right,” the man exclaimed, processing the other’s question, running his fingers through his hair. “My name is Nathan. Nathan Park. I debuted a couple of months ago as a solo singer.”

“Ahh,” Kyuhyun said, now remembering that Leeteuk had mentioned that they had a newbie. “I’ve heard a little bit about you. I’m glad you’re successful.”

Nathan’s cheeks blushed at the comment. “I’m hoping to reach as far as you have one day Mr. Cho,” he said, looking straight into the older’s eyes.

Kyuhyun smiled back, still wondering what was up with people telling him that he had gone so far. He knows of others who have gone farther. What made him any special? Despite that, he still put on a smile. “Please, call me Kyuhyun hyung,” he said, shaking his hand. “Well, I’ll see you later.” With that, Kyuhyun began to walk away, intent on reaching his dressing room.

“Ahh, wait,” Nathan suddenly exclaimed, causing Kyuhyun to turn around for a brief moment. He then blushed, realizing that he was holding up the older. “If you’re not busy, hyung, would you care to go out to dinner with me some time?” Kyuhyun’s eyebrows lifted. “I-I mean, not on a date or anything, I just want to get some advice from you and you’ve been in the music industry longer than I have and you’re older…”

“Stop before you make me feel really old,” Kyuhyun teased, making the other blush even more. He chuckled out of pity. “You know what, ask my manager for my phone number and call me when you’re free, okay?”

Nathan smiled widely and bowed his head down. “It’ll be my treat hyung,” he exclaimed, still bowing his head.

“Of course it will,” Kyuhyun winked before he walked away, this time with no other interruptions and a surprisingly clear mind.

Sa-Hyun walked down the hallway, rubbing her eyes in the process. She wanted some milk and she was intent on getting it, with or without daddy’s help. She made her way to the kitchen and started to mess around in the fridge before realizing that the milk was too high to reach. She sighed before sitting down on the floor, wondering how in the heck she was supposed to get that.

With that, the door opened and she jumped up and rushed to the person coming in, hoping to ask him for help. “Oppa,” she yelled out, not caring who it was.

To Kyuhyun’s shock, Sa-Hyun had hugged his legs and started to tug on him. “Sa-Hyun, it’s Kyuhyun,” he whispered gently, kneeling down to face her properly. A pang echoed in his heart as he recognized each and every one of Sungmin’s features. But that wasn’t the of it. The fact that his own features weren’t on the girl’s got to him. The fact that SaEun’s face was apparent broke his heart. He wouldn’t let that get to him though. Not now. Not ever. Especially since the one who bore the face was a little innocent girl. “It’s not your daddy darling.”

“I no,” she muttered, reaching out to poke Kyuhyun’s face. “But you help me Kyu Oppa. I want milk.”

He chuckled at the little girl’s demands and let her pull him into the kitchen, where he lay down his bag and got her, her small plastic cup before reaching into the fridge for the bottle of milk. “Do you want it hot or cold sweetie,” he asked, closing the fridge to save energy.

“Cold,” she exclaimed, following Kyuhyun around like a little puppy.

He closed the cup and reached out to give it to her when she started to make ‘carry me’ gestures. He happily obliged and carried her in his arms, feeing her the cold cup of milk. “Does it taste good,” he cooed, watching her drink it happily.

“Thank you,” she muttered in between sips.

He walked over to the couch and laid back, resting her head gently on his own shoulders as she slowly finished her cup of milk. Soon the living room was filled with light snores and quiet sighs.

“That is freaking adorable,” Ryeowook half screamed and whispered, rushing to take out his phone. “Who would have thought our baby would be holding a baby?” Yesung laughed at his boyfriend’s reaction to the sleeping pair on the sofa.

Kyuhyun had fallen asleep on the sofa and, not wanting to bother the older male, Sa-Hyun slept on his shoulders, cuddling up to him to keep herself warm. The rest of the members had slowly woken up and stared gapingly at the sweet sight in front of them. Everyone was present except for the one who was related by blood.

“Kyuhyun’s going to make a cute father,” Donghae sighed, watching as the pair continued to snore lightly.

“You would make a cute father,” Eunhyuk whispered into the other’s ear, earning him a kiss on the cheek.

“Dorks,” Heechul muttered, but sighed happily at the sight in front of him.

A couple of minutes later, the father of the girl abruptly rushed out of his room after realizing that his daughter wasn’t there with him. However, he stopped in his tracks when he saw her laying down on the love of his life. He couldn’t help but smile, but the pain in his chest was ever present.

“Sungmin, your daughter can rule the world,” Yesung said, patting him gently on the back. “However, as much as I love this scene, I also love having a healthy Kyuhyun. Would you mind grabbing your daughter so I can put Kyuhyun in a proper bed? I don’t want him waking up with a bad back.”

Sungmin could only sigh as he walked over to the two on the sofa. For a second, he couldn’t help but stare at Kyuhyun’s gentle state. His eyes were closed oh so softly and his breathing was calm and constant, definitely not like the last time he had seen him sleeping. However, a cough from Heechul had distracted him from his thoughts and he quickly, but gently, lifted his daughter off of the younger’s chest. They held their breaths as Kyuhyun started to shift in his sleep. The older rushed to the other members’ sides, his sleeping daughter in tow.

Kyuhyun started to rub his hands over his eyes as if he were a baby himself and yawned before blinking several times, trying to comprehend where he was. He tilted his head to get a feel of the room before rushing to sit up. “Where’s Sa-Hyun,” he exclaimed, feeling a loss of weight on his chest. “Is she okay?”

“She’s right here Kyuhyun,” Yesung said, walking over to the younger. “Now why don’t you go to your bed and get some proper sleep?”

Kyuhyun relaxed after hearing of the young girl’s safety and grabbed on to his hyung’s hands as he led him to his room.

The others dispersed and Donghae took Sa-Hyun into his own arms as he gently woke the little girl up with promises of pancakes. In the same manner as Kyuhyun, she slowly woke up and gently started to pat Donghae’s face, attempting to tell him to shush. Sungmin could only watch as Kyuhyun disappeared into his room and closed his door. Yesung walked away only to come face to face with Sungmin, who couldn’t erase the look on his face fast enough.

“You know, your whole life would be easier if you tell him the truth,” he said, patting him on the back. “He seems to really like Sa-Hyun so liking you shouldn’t be a problem.”

“Everybody likes my daughter,” Sungmin muttered, shaking the comments off. He didn’t want to have hope. No. He didn’t want to ruin the younger man’s life again. Not when he sees how happy he is.

“You’re an idiot,” Yesung concluded, walking into the kitchen for breakfast.

            Sungmin sighed.

            “I know.”

A/N: Hey everybody! I managed to write an update! I got one out as I listened to Kyuhyun’s new album song and staring at pictures of Eunhyuk’s and Donghae’s enlistment…gah…

I know it’s a long shot and I love the subscribing being done, but I also really love comments. Whether it’s short notes or really long ones. I just really love them and I would be so thankful if you guys would leave me some. (Sheesh, it sounds like I’m begging at this point but I’m not feeling the love…especially since two more of my favorite guys just left…gah…the thought of them not all being together breaks my heart, even if I’m not there with them…it’s a separated family…)

By the way, please note that Nathan Park is an Original Character...he's here as a sweetie to...well, you'll figure it out later ;)

Chapter 10: I think Kyu liking the girl is an improvement. With or without knowing the truth... he should at least admit he has feelings for Min still.
Even if Min tells the truth... how can one forget years of pain?
This new guy seems like trouble. Me no like. I hope he is honest and doesn't turn into the sassy cliche mean third wheel
