Don't Change, Please. (Jungkook Fanfic)Mari’s POV
Today’s the day of his audition. “Mari” he whispered beside me while walking to school. “Yeah?” I answered. “I’m really nervous” he confessed. “Don’t be. You’ve worked so hard, don’t let it get in your way. You’re going to do great, I know this 100%” I encouraged him. “Yah, what would I do without my best friend” he hugged me. I hugged him back. “I think you’ll be so lost and unhappy because I’m no where near your presence” I teased. “Yeah, I think I would be miserable without you” he said. I tried to pull out from the hug, but he didn’t allow me. “Let me go kookie” I giggled. “Wait, I need a bit more luck” he said. “You think I’m a charm full of luck?” I asked. “Yeah.. you can say that” he said as he pulled away. “Alright, it’s your time to shine, go and impress them” I cheered. “See you after the audition” he said walking away. “See you” I replied.
As I walked to sit under the tree, I was greeted by Yerin. “Mari-ah! hey” she said. “Hello my other best friend” I replied. “Guess what?” she quizzed. “What?” I asked. “This girl got a new job” she said pointing at herself. “What job?” I asked again. “Well it’s in a clothing store, but you know.. job is a job and I’m getting paid” she sighed and learned on the tree. Maybe I should get a job? I can save up some money and keep myself occupied. “You should apply for the cafe next to the shop I work at” she pointed out. “There’s a spot left?” I asked. “Yeah, you should totally apply” she smiled. “Yeah” I said playing with the grass. The view from our spot is the basketball court, and the boys were playing, as always. I watch them play, not because of the ‘boys’ but I’m genuinely interested in basketball. Too bad we don’t have a girls basketball team.. no one is willing to join. On the other hand… “Oh my god, boys covered in sweat is the best view there is” Yerin drooled. I gave her a “really?” look. “What? it’s normal for girls to drool over boys” she defended herself. As I continued to watch again, someone waved at me. It’s Hanbin. The boys who were playing looked my way.. and these were boys from a grade above us.. some are even from the 12th grade. “D-did he just wave at us?” asked Yerin. “I-I think so” I stuttered not knowing what to do since all eyes were on us. I didn’t know Hanbin was that popular. He made his way towards us. “Ya, do you know him? he’s cute” asked
