Three.
Nothing to Fear.Chapter 3
Hi. Sorry about the other day. I didn’t mean to upset you.
Yonghwa
Omo.
Omo omo omo.
Shinhye stared at the sheet bewildered. First, this was the first time ever a person would apologize after I freaked out at them. Second, after saying sorry to her through her brother, he still felt the need to apologize to her personally. Third, what should she do now?
“Shinhye imo,” Manse’s voice was heard from the stairs.
“Yes darling?” she raised her head from the sheet.
“May I have the snack?”
Shinhye looked at the snack that was still in her laps. She then got an idea. “Sure. Wait, I’ll come to you,” Shinhye said to Manse who then stopped his steps from walking down the stairs.
Shinhye reached for a pen on the table and quickly write underneath.
It’s okay. I should be sorry because it’s my fault. You didn’t do anything wrong. I have this weird thing. It’s not you.
Shinhye
“Manse ah,” she said when she reached her nephew on the stairs. “I need your help, so if you help me, you will get more snack, okay?” she persuaded.
“What is it imo?” asked the 4 years old clueless.
“Go and give this to Yonghwa samchoon. Yonghwa,” she repeated as Manse stared at her with blank eyes. “Seojun samchoon’s friend. Yonghwa? The big boy?”
Manse took the paper and looked at it carefully. He then smiled. “Imo, snack?” his left hand now asking for the snacks as she promised.
“Here you go sweetheart,” she gave him a handful of snack and Manse ran happily towards Seojun’s room.
When Manse finally left, Shinhye didn’t expect the note will reach it destination. Manse might forget it since he had the snack now. Shinhye let out a small breath and put her head in between her knees. She stared at the snacks in her hand and thought of how silly of her to think that she would get a reply.
But about two minutes later, Manse came holding the note, saying excitedly, “Read it! Read the snack paper!”
Shinhye exchanged the snack paper with more snack for Manse. Manse received it with a big smile on his face.
