You pouted. Today was your two year anniversary with Wonwoo and you had to look your best, but none of your clothes satisfied you. You looked into the full length mirror on your wall and sighed. You pointed out all of your complexes; how your arms looked fat under the shirt’s sleeve, how the once large skirt barely fit, and just how overweight your body looked in general. You couldn’t help but compare yourself to perfect, Barbie-like celebrities. Seeing that you didn’t have much time left, you hurriedly did your make up (which consisted of even more self criticism) and ran out of the door.

    Fortunately, you were only a few minutes late to the cafe that you were supposed to meet Wonwoo at.

    “~~~~~-ah! Over here!” He waved happily. You couldn’t help but smile back as you sat down in front of him. “I booked a dinner at the fancy Italian restaurant that you like, but let’s go watch a movie first!” Wonwoo excitedly smiled at you. You laughed and nodded, but right then, a tall, thin girl walked past you.

    You bit your lip in envy as your eyes scanned her thin, toned legs and immediately looked down to your thick ones. Wonwoo looked at you and followed your gaze to the girl.

           “Oh, she’s pretty,” You heard him say, your heart dropping to your stomach. “But you’re a thousand times prettier,” He smiled at you. You blushed.

           “Eyy, stop lying,” You reached over the table to playfully shove his arm. He laughed.

           “No, I’m being serious! You’re the only one that I can see, and I don’t think I will ever be able to find anyone prettier than you, inside and out,” He smiled, affection oozing out of his eyes.   

           “You’re so cheesy,” You laughed.

           “Only for you,” Wonwoo winked. “Let’s go to watch the movie now!” Wonwoo grabbed your hand and pulled you up, leading you out of the cafe.

    The two of you ended up watching Minions (which was Wonwoo’s suggestion) and headed over to the restaurant. However, ever since the cafe, you couldn’t help but degrade your body. There were so many girls with amazing bodies and beautiful faces everywhere you went and you couldn’t help but be insecure.

You and Wonwoo finally arrived at the restaurant and were seated.

“~~~~~-ah, what do you want to eat?” Wonwoo asked, not looking up from the menu. You your lips and couldn’t help but think about how many calories each dish would be.

“I..I’m not that hungry,” You said, pushing the menu away from you. Wonwoo looked at you in confusion.

“All you had to eat today was that one cup of coffee, and that was a few hours ago. Are you sure you’re not hungry?” Wonwoo reached across the table, his hand gently lifting your face to meet his eyes. You avoided his gaze and nodded.

“~~~~~... Are you being insecure?” Wonwoo asked, his voice gentle, knowing that this was a sensitive topic. You bit your lip, and that was enough for Wonwoo to know.

“It’s just.. I’m not pretty or skinny, I’m just.. me, and-I don’t know- I don’t like it; I don’t like ‘me’,” You mumbled, still not brave enough to look Wonwoo in the eyes.

“~~~~~.. You know I’m not good at saying this kind of stuff, but listen carefully. You’re pretty, you don’t need to change anything about you. No matter how many times I look at you, I can’t see that thing that you always say is bothering you. I’m serious, you’re perfect the way you are and in my eyes, you don’t have to change anything,” Wonwoo’s lips curved into a soft smile, his deep voice soothing your mind. Your eyes glistened with tears, which Wonwoo gently wiped away with his thumb.

“Babo, why are you crying? Don’t you know you look ugly when you cry?” Wonwoo playfully smirked.

“Yah! Didn’t you just say that I was perfect?” You slapped his hand away and pouted. Wonwoo laughed, making your heart skip a beat.

“I’m playing, I’m playing,” He smiled. You smiled back, a rosy tint flushing your cheeks.

“~~~~~,” You looked up, startled by how serious Wonwoo looked.

           “I love you,” His eyes smiled in gentle crescents.

          “I love you, too,” You smiled back, leaning over and giving a quick kiss on Wonwoo’s lips.

          “Thank you, Wonwoo,”
