Ever since that mysterious figure had started following me home every day, I had begged my father to pick me up from school every day. I did not explain my reason for not wanting to walk home, I simply told him that since it was cold and dark I didn’t want to get ill and it was dangerous to be walking home alone. I didn’t want to take the risk that the stranger might have attacked me one day.

I was in my room one evening, it was after dinner and I sat down at my desk with my school books open, ready to do some homework. The loud ringing of my phone started and I sighed in annoyance as I glanced at the I.D. I frowned in confusion when the number wasn’t in my phone, but decided to answer the call in case it was important.

“Hello.” I spoke, but there was no reply. I checked the phone and the call was still ongoing. I put the receiver back up to my ear and just listened.

“Is anyone there?” I questioned, there was an eerie atmosphere around me as the other end was still silent. Suddenly I heard something that made my skin crawl and the hairs on my arms stand on end. I deep, loud breathing sound came through the phone and my eyes widened in fear. What was going on?

“Who is this? If this is a prank call, it’s not a nice thing to do!” I scolded the stranger, but all they did was breathe through the phone, scaring me more and more until they cut off the call. My phone beeped and I took it away from my ear and put it down onto my desk. I felt cold as I tried to shake the creepy event from my mind so that I could do my homework.

The next morning I woke up feeling extremely tired. It had taken me a long time to get to sleep, due to the fact that the strange call had creeped me out and made me paranoid of the darkness in my room. I ended up examining every corner of my room to make sure there was no-one in the darkness, so that I could sleep easier. I walked to school since I felt safe when it was early and light outside.

When I got to the school, I entered and then just in my classroom, not talking to anyone; I was away in my thoughts, trying to come up with a reasonable excuse as to why someone would follow me and then call me but not say anything. Were they just trying to scare me? If so, why were they trying to scare me?

During the lunch break, I was the same. I just sat thinking, nothing was familiar about the figure and I didn’t know the number. I didn’t understand why it was happening to me!

JiEun hadn’t been herself for the past few days and I worried for her as I watched from a distance. Himchan was beside me along with another friend of ours, Zelo.
