Genesis
Description
The Moon fell from the sky and soon the Sun followed it. When the two bodies abandoned them and the Earth began to revolt against them mankind climbed high into the sky, they reached for what little stars were left. In doing so, man forgot what little lay beneath him. What happens when the forgotten fragment makes its way back up?
Foreword
The wail of a siren signaled the five minute warning for curfew, and everyone scrambled to not be caught outside. The rapid footsteps of those still out could be heard from every angle. No one wanted to chance being out after curfew and being swallowed by the darkness that surrounded the halls that during the day were lit bright as they were told the sun once was.
It had been a long time since the sun had left and even longer since the moon fell from the sky. The people of the planet were so accustomed to there being neither a sun nor a moon that more often than not they forgot that either ever existed. To the adults they were things saved for children’s tales. As for the children, the sun and moon were simply the greatest dreams.
While a world that had no sun was sad a world that had no moon was a world drowned. The moment the moon fell from the sky the oceans rose to the mountains. The people of the planet were forced to climb high, higher than they thought possible. They built floor upon floor, layer upon layer until they had built so high they had no memory of what was below.
A civilization in the dark company of clouds with no need for the ground. What would happen to such a place if one day someone came up from the long forgotten lowest level?
(A/N)I already have a few stories going, but I also already have this one halfway finished so I figured why not, I hope everyone reads this well! Also, the boys' positions in society do NOT reflect how I view them, it is all for the story!
