Chapter Seven

See You Again (The Dark Knight Sequel)

No More School!

A Couple of Weeks Later

“Have a fun vacation everyone!” you practically screamed towards your students who were running out the doors of your classroom.

You were going to miss them. Next year they’ll be in a different class and you’ll have to teach a whole new group of students. At least now you don’t have to worry about grading any papers and the stress of teaching some undisciplined children how to speak English. You were still shocked when one of those students suddenly cursed at you.

“Jagiya,” you heard someone say in a sing-song voice from the door. You smiled to see Jungkook leaning on the door frame with a basket in his hand. “Are you finished cleaning up yet?”

Nodding your head slightly, you continued to sort the stack of papers that were left on your desk, “I’ll be done in a few minutes, I just need to clean all this up,” you said.

Jungkook came in and sat in one of the chairs. He just sat there and stared at you the whole time, you didn’t mind it at first but the longer he kept staring, the more you wanted to give him attention.

“Kookie,” you said in a soft tone.

“Yeah?”

“Why are you staring at me?”

He placed his elbow on the desk and used the palm of his hand to prompt up his head, his eyes continued to follow every movement you made. “I’m just fascinated by your beauty, you look really hot when you’re focused like that.”

You couldn’t help but blush after the words he had just said. It was rare of him to compliment you like that. Changing the topic, you pointed at the woven basket that sat on the desk beside Jungkook, “What’s that for?”

“We’re going on a picnic to celebrate the last day of school.”

“Oh, really?” you always loved how Jungkook would be the one planning the dates, he really makes every date that you have with him either very special or very memorable.

He nodded his head, “Yup, this’ll be our last day of pure freedom before we get worked up over our wedding in a few weeks.”

“Honestly, the only one I can imagine freaking out about my own wedding is Suzy,” you giggled as you grabbed your bag, ready to go and meet sweet freedom of having no school.

Jungkook stood up from his spot and grabbed the picnic basket. He smiled, extending his elbow towards you, “Shall we?” he said and you gladly linked your arms together, wondering what kind of picnic he has planned.

~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~

To your surprise, Jungkook took you to the place where he had taken you whenever you wanted peace or needed it. Looking back to the first time he showed you this place, you still had that same feeling of nostalgia going around.

“I never thought I’d see this place again,” you said, taking in a deep breath and smelled the fresh, flower-scented air around you.

Jungkook took a seat on the picnic blanket that he laid out and took out food from the basket. You smiled, sitting beside him as you stared at the food that he was taking out of the basket one by one, every one of them looked delicious.

He grabbed a strawberry, “Open wide,” he said with a somewhat devilish grin, which made you a bit suspicious of what he was about to do.

You raised an eyebrow at him, “You’re not doing any tricks or throw it at me, are you?”

His smile suddenly turned sweet, the one that you would usually see whenever the two of you see each other, which is basically every day. “Come on, would I do something like that to you?”

“Uh, yeah! You did that last time to me with the grapes!” you reminded him.

Your fiancé let out a laugh, remembering that particular dinner that the two of you had. “I swear, I won’t throw anything at you this time,” he smiled again.

You trusted his words this time and opened your mouth as the strawberry in his hand inches towards you. Taking a bite, the sweetness of the fruit dominated your mouth. You noticed Jungkook staring at you.

Turning your head to look at him, you tilted it slightly, a bit confused. “Why are you staring at me like that?”

“You have something on your face,” he pointed out.

“What? Where?” you tried to search for it with the use of your hand but failed to locate it.

“Right over here,” Jungkook said and before you could react quickly enough, he smeared the strawberry that you took a bite off of on your cheek.

Your eyes widened in shock and your mouth turned into an ‘O’ shape with a dramatic gasp. “I trusted your words!” you pouted at him.

He only laughed at you, “I’m sorry, I had to,” he said between breaths, “I couldn’t help it.”

“If you think that’s funny…” you said, the chocolate cake that he had placed right in front of you caught your attention. You took your finger and swiped off some of the icing, “My turn,” you ginned evilly at him.

“Come on, that’s sticky!” he said, waving his hand in front of you, using them as protection. “And I’m sure you don’t want chocolate frosting all over the shirt you got me.”

“Well you should have thought twice before you smeared that strawberry on my face.”

Jungkook stood up and began to run away from you while laughing. You ran after him, having your finger extended so that you’ll be able to smear the icing on him. He turned and started running backwards, you mentally scolded yourself for being so slow compared to him.

Unlucky, tripped and fell on his back. Clumsily, you fell on top of him. As you were about to smear the frosting on his face, Jungkook took your finger in his mouth, all the frosting off of your finger.

“Dammit Jungkook, I almost had you,” you laughed, sliding your finger out of his mouth and wiped his saliva off with his pants.

“Did you really had to wipe it there?”

You smiled at him and laid your head on his chest, the beat of his heart beating as fast as yours. “Yes, I did,” you said with a giggle. “I’ll get you next time.”

Jungkook lifted his hand and carefully placed it on your head, caressing it gently as if you were the most fragile thing on the planet. “You always say that but it never happens.”

“Did it taste good?” you asked.

“It was very sweet.”

“Sweeter than me?” you giggled.

He lifted himself along with you so that you’d be sitting on his lap, "Ji Hyun, anything sweet in this world would be bitter compared to your sweetness.”

You couldn’t help but playfully hit his chest. “You’re so cheesy.”

“But you like it.”
