I’m h-his childhood friend?

You sat still on the carpet still shocked.

“Dae ____~ah, where are you now?” Youngmin sighed.

Ani~ You shook your head. Maybe it’s just another Dae ______.

Youngmin stood up and took something under the couch he was lying on. It was a picture.

“_____~ah. I am missing you already for 10 years. When are you planning to come back? I hope that you still remember me.” Youngmin laid himself on the couch with the picture on his hand.

You couldn’t stay still and you were still thinking about what Youngmin said.

Youngmin fell asleep and dropped the picture off his hand. You saw the picture drop and quickly went to look at it. You saw two kids, a boy and a girl. They were happily playing on the see-saw. You suddenly noticed that the girl was you 10 years ago. You looked at the boy on the pic and suddenly memories came to your mind.

Y-youngmin…

*flashback*

You were sitting on a bench at the park, alone. You were crying so hard because your mom died that day. You were crying and crying.

“Why are you crying?”

You heard an unfamiliar voice. You looked up and saw a blonde haired boy looking at you, confused.

“Did something happen?” he asked.

You cried even more.

“Omo! Don’t cry… I can listen to your problems if you want.” He sat beside you and patted your back.

You felt relieved a little and decided to tell him about your mom.

“My mom died and left me and appa.” You cried again.

“Aigoo… D-don’t cry. Your mom will be sad if she sees you crying. She’s now in heaven and you should pray for her. Here…” He handed a cupcake with a fork on top.

You stopped crying and took the cupcake.

“You’re giving this to me?” You asked.

“Deh!” He smiled.

“K-kamsahamnida.” You smiled and ate the cupcake.

You finished eating and handed him the fork.

“Ani~ I’m giving it to you.” He smiled.

“Really?”

“Deh! That will be our remembrance.”

You smiled. “Arasso!”

“You wanna play?”

You nodded.

He took your hand and brought you to the see-saw. Both of you played and played until your dad came at the park.

“________~ah!” He shouted.

“Omo! It’s my appa! I have to go now.” You said.

“Really? See you next time then?”

“Deh, maybe tomorrow I’ll be here too.” You smiled.

You were about to run but suddenly.

“Wait! I don’t know your name yet!” He shouted.

“It’s Dae ______!” You shouted.

“I’m Jo Youngmin!”

You smiled.

“See you tomorrow!” You ran to your appa.

After that day you and Youngmin became close friends until you became best of friends.

But one day…

-at the airport-

“Mianhe Youngmin~ah. But my appa says that I should go there. I’ll miss you Youngmin~ah!” You hugged Youngmin.

“I’ll miss you more ______~ah!” both of you cried and hugged each other tightly.

“_______~ah, Youngmin~ah… it’s time to let go.” Your appa said.

You cried even more.

“Youngmin, we’ll see each other when I come back here, arasso? I’ll miss you.” You hugged him.

“Deh, we will.”

And so, you left Korea and went to America to study.
