never say never

Roar...it better

That damn girl only used him for cleaning purposes;Every chance she got she'd make him swipe the floors, shine the mirrors or play the male lead in a crazy ballet duet with the kid.

Never in his life had he thought he'd be put under such extreme stress.Ballet?WTF?!

"I fail to see how this could help with my injury."he complained while the little girl was twirling  him on one foot.

"Stop being so dark, ahjussi. It's time to lift me!"she squealed happily, getting ready for the final act.

Somehow she developed a liking to that in particular and he gave in just because her laugh was intoxicating. He couldn't keep scrunching his nose, haveing been reprimanded far too many times by his CEO and Gyu altogether. They actually accused him of trying to ditch!

"Real men don't lift weights, they lift women."Sheenae came closer to them as the song ended."No one is born a dancer, you have to want it more than anything.Remember that when when you question my teaching."she struggled a bit with her words.

Today she didn't use her hearing device and didn't resort to loud music either to help herself. He might've hated her guts, but he wasn't a total duche not to notice something was wrong. The bubbly personality barely surfaced, but she worked with him nonetheless.

It hadn't crossed his mind she managed to ease the pain in his leg until Dongwoo and Gyu pointed it out just a couple of days ago as he was practicing inside their own dorm. They were relieved to see him moving with less struggle be it dancing or simply walking and voiced it much to his awe.He hadn't realised it.

"Unnie,do you want to have a...."

"Tell you what, monkey. Why don't you go grab your stuff and I'll treat you both to some icecream."he offered out of the blue. The kid didn't need being told twice, rushing out of there and leaving both in awkward silence.

Sheenae looked around confused;she hadn't heard a word and hadn't faced him when he spoke.

"I'm taking you both out to celebrate this dreaded 1 month collaboration."he told her when he was sure he had her full attention.

"I don't..."

"Don't strain yourself.I won't take No for an answer."he cut her out."Do you really want to go against that monkey?"

"Guess not."she chose small words."Help me quick."she pointed to the floors.

To his luck it only took 10 minutes to clean.Practice did make perfect! As time flew by the task had been easier to accomplish and he realised it had been just another way of hers to keep him in shape without his knowledge.

He meant to ask her about it,but the time was too little for that,so he postponed it.This day wasn't any different, maybe except her missing her hearing device which made things a little awkward. She had a piercing gaze as it was,but when she stared him so deep to try and read his lips it felt strange.

It was really nice to hear as little nagging from her as possible. So they barely exchanged any words. The little one did enough talking on her own for everyone there.!

"You know, we could do this without a reason to celebrate. When I'll finally get on my track, you should treat me!"he said smuggly."For putting up with your nasty teaching and actually..."

"Are you aknowledging I helped?"Sheenae smiled.

"Of course not!You haven't even begun to show me a proper dance move of yours, yet."he challenged.

"Fine, you're on!"she accepted, sending a message to the girl's relatives to come pick her  up.

As he recalled it was way closer to her home than the dance studio and there was no point in dragging her tired limbs over there, just because they had a "battle" ahead.

"Mind if I bring a witness?"

"You can't judge by yourself?"she smirked, after struggling with her speech again.

"Where's your?"he pointed to his ear.

"I can beat your without it!Just turn the music louder,k?" she avoided his eyes.

It wasn't the only thing she avoided, but he didn't press on any longer. As soon as they said good-bye to the kid, they headed back!

He remembered she once urged him to voice his frustrations out while dancing as best as he could under the circumstances;he had screamed alongside Katy Perry's Roar like his life depended on it!Damn ,that felt revigorating!

It helped that she had left him by himself, but he never admitted to it in front of  her. So,now he was hoping he could do the same for Sheenae. He didn't waste time playing a Brillz remixed cover of the same song in which she submerged so perfect that he was stunned!

He had unleashed a  hardcore dancing beast without knowing. To his surprise,he found it difficult to tear his eyes away from her popping, happily strutting her stuff in front of him like that's what he's been missing but never gonna get.

He felt  betrayed!Where did that come from? Why hasn't she been showing that off instead of putting him in ballet scenes?!?Dongwoo laughed his off at hearing it and he regretted spilling the beans to this day!

Well he wasn't laughing now!!He had called him, asking him to join in and he made it there mid-way on her stunt.Safe to say he couldn't keep far,so he joined her, dragging him along.Teachers gonna teach,Hoya guessed!

Eventhough he wasn't at the top of his game Hoya managed a pretty good made-up routine, most likely due to his co-partner's confidence. He felt at ease around him somehow and the new Sheenae boosted his spirits enough to not pay attention to the slips in his steps.

They were all enjoying themselves as he could glance in the high mirrors, all thoughts aside.

That's why he couldn't wait any longer to get back in the game.He breathed dancing!!!!He  was at home,at peace. He desperately needed that back!

Dongwoo put an abrupt stop as soon as the new track hit the air.He didn't know how  The Weeknd's- Earned It ended up in his playlist, but it blasted before he could stop it and, to his utter amasement,Sheenae provided with a hot routine of lyric hip-hop(not the y version everyone was too used to,thankfully). At this point she was already relying mostly on the strong beats and less on the music,so they were safe, right?

Looking at Dongwoo,he probably thought the same, cause he just took a seat on the floor, admiring her from the side.

"Have to say, Hoya, you must've hit your head or something, cause damn! She's a jewel!Whatever crossed your mind to complain about this in the first place?"he eyed him."And Gyu missed the best part;he'd be keen on accepting her as the best choice now!"

"I thought he already knew about Sheenae."Hoya frowned.

"Well, he was in the hot spot for a couple of minutes and had to think fast on your behalf;CEO was out to get you and me,for that matter. We barely made it out of disbanding,if not for Gyu.He called in a favour(not very pleased to be forced to) and so got you assigned to this little one over here."he explained, not looking away from her.

"So I owe him,or what?"Hoya pushed himself away.

"Best friends don't give up on each other,Hoya. He'd always got your back."Dongwoo finally stepped up,meeting Sheenae's curious gaze."How is Marcus?"he asked her."I'd recognise that bastard anytime, though I haven't heard much of him lately."

"Who's Marcus?"Hoya searched  her eyes. She hadn't heard Dongwoo earlier, too busy with wiping the sweat from her face.

"You know my cousin?"she blinked.

"Apparently, this dude does."he pointed at his friend."This is Dongwoo,by the way."

"Oh...hi."she timidly bowed.

Really, she was shy just after they shared the floor?!

"Wow,it runs in the family."the dino laughed."Your style is amasing, really entertaining.I see how you got this kid hooked."

"I believe it was demanded of me.I'm not in any way hooked."Hoya muttered.

"Yeah,yeah.Never say never."
