Taehyun paced back and forth in his room, pinching the bridge of his nose as he listens to the other line on the phone.

"Mom, I've been here for a week already, I will be fine, I swear." Taehyun said through the speakers as he stepped near

the window to look outside. "Besides, Jinwoo is with me and he's been a real help." He can still hear his mother's concerned

ramblings on the phone. His mother really cares, but sometimes that care is a little bit too much. "You know, you're still my

baby even if you got a younger brother here, so I tend to worry. But I can't stop you now, can I? Just tell Jinwoo to take care.

You too.I love you." Taehyun smiled at that "I love you mom. Donghyun too. Take care of yourselves. Bye." He ends the call

just in time for Jinwoo to make his entrance.

Jinwoo is still rubbing his sleepy eyes with the back of his hand as he stiffles a yawn. "Taehyun-ah~ What time is it?" he

asked as he sat on the stool beside the kitchen island. "About twenty minutes before we are deemed as late newbies at

our new school." Taehyun replied casually. "What? Why didn't you wake me up?" Jinwoo pouts and crossed his arms like

a child. "You even had everything ready already!" he adds groaning. "Just eat up already, I'll be the one to clean your room."

Taehyun sighs making Jinwoo light up a bit. Both of them moved out from their houses to enjoy the last year of their high

school with standing on their own two feet. They moved to the city to live. To experience living for themselves. It took a lot

of convincing from both of their parents but after some morepleading and reasoning out, they finally agreed. That made both

of the young boys happy.

Taehyun and Jinwoo finally reached their new school and to their surprise, they were not late. Taehyun breathed a sigh of

relief then smiled. "Lets go." he said, clutching the straps of his bag with both excitement and nervousness. The crowd is

big, boys and girls greeting each other with how you've been's and long time no see's making the new boys feel a bit awkward.

Taehyun and Jinwoo walked inside the huge hall where the opening ceremony would be held. It was filled with voices of the

students. Taehyun found empty seats for both of them. "Taehyun-ah, do you think we'll be alright?" Jinwoo asked, his fingers

fumbling with each other. "Of course. Besides you have me right here. There's no turning back now, is there?" Taehyun smiled,

swallowing his own nervousness. The hall fell silent as the head of the school took the stage to deliver his speech. A roar

of applause came after he finished and in the midst of it, the guy beside Taehyun poked his shoulders. "Hi, I haven't seen

you before. You're a freshman?" the guy with a smiling face asked. "Uh, no. My friend and I just moved here. We're on the

last year of highschool." Taehyun replied pointing at Jinwoo. "Ah, I see. So we're on the same year, then. The name's

Lee Seunghoon. People might say bad things about me so I'll just let you see for yourself that I'm a nice bloke." Seunghoon

introduced himself, his smile never leaving his face. "My name is Nam Taehyun." Taehyun replied, offering a small smile

in return. "And my name's Kim Jinwoo. Why do people refer you as a bad guy?" Jinwoo curiously asked. Taehyun turned 

to Jinwoo with disbelieving eyes and Jinwoo just shrugged. "Well, I may be known as the one who starts the pranks in

here but I toned it down last year. I think I had enough of the teacher in charged of my detentions. But hey, a few people

loves me. They think of me as the class clown you know?" Seunghoon wiggled his eyebrows making Jinwoo giggle. "Ahh,

I think you're not that bad." Jinwoo declared. Seunghoon offered a high five which Jinwoo gladly accepted. "But really I

think those who loves me won't come today. They're such lazy asses." Seunghoon thought out loud. "But hey, at least

I made new friends." he added gleefully.

People around them started piling outside the hall towards their respective rooms. Taehyun and Jinwoo were relieved

to know that they're on the same class as Seunghoon. The room was the cliche type of room and of course, Taehyun

being the cliche type of person, sat on the last seat next to the window. Jinwoo sat in front of him beside Seunghoon who

slumped his head over his desk as soon as he took his seat. Everyone's eyes were on Jinwoo and Taehyun since they're

the only new students there. Thay greet them and introduced themselves. Taehyun could only think that they were lucky

that their new classmates were friendly enough to them. Everyone took their seats when their homeroom teacher, Mrs. Oh

came. She made an attendance check and asked Taehyun and Jinwoo to introduce themselves since they were the only

new faces she sees on the room. Jinwoo cutely made his speech making every girl in the room gush at how cuddly and

cute he is. Taehyun rolled his eyes. Typical Jinwoo reaction. Every girl's been like that to Jinwoo for as long as Taehyun

can remember. Taehyun stood for his turn and he carefully made his way to the front when suddenly the doors burst open.

A howl of laughter escaped from Seunghoon's mouth soon after. Jinwoo looked at the laughing guy beside him then to

the door. Taehyun felt his heartbeat get faster. Their homeroom teacher got her lips curled into a thin line. Half of the

girls were gushing, half were rolling their eyes. Half of the boys were pointing their thumbs up, the others got something

else to mind.

"Good morning to you too, Mr. Song. How nice of you to join us today." their teacher scoffed, crossing his arms. Mino

just ignored her and just found a random seat next to Taehyun's making the boy in front of the room flush a little bit. "You

may continue now, Mr. Nam." the teacher urged Taehyun to speak up. He can feel sweat trickle down his neck. He swallowed

and prayed he won't mess up. "Hello...uhm. Hello everyone. My name is Name Taehyun. Please take good care of me."

Taehyun said and he almost jumped in joy because he did not mess up. He smiled and went back to his seat only stopping

on his tracks for a second or two when he realized that the newly arrived guy by the name of Mr. Song in his mind were

staring at him. Taehyun ignores him and looks outside the window. He can hear some people talking about Mino two

seats from him. "I heard he's been into gang wars this summer." the first guy said. "Well, just look at him, isn't he scaaary~"

the girl beside him added, earning an approval from the other guys. Taehyun looked over the guy beside him. His head

is down and he's biting his lip as if he's trying so hard not to burst. Taehyun saw Seunghoon kick the chair in front of him

and gave the guys a glare, silencing those who's talking about his friend. Taehyun sighed deeply. Well, there's always

a thrill right?

"Alright so, before we officially start our lessons, we need to have a class representative for this class. Any volunteer?"

their teacher asked. No one raised their hands. It's their last year, they want the least responsibility possible so they can

enjoy every bit of it. The siilence was broken by Seunghoon. "I nominate Kim Jinwoo!" he shouted giving Jinwoo a thumbs

up. Jinwoo kept gesturing a 'NO' to Seunghoon but the guy won't have it. Taehyun laughed at his best friend. At least he'll

have a reason to be a bit responsible now. "Jinwoo-ah, go ahead. It won't hurt you." Taehyun said but Jinwoo pouts at

him. "See? Even Taehyun here agrees with me. Who else wants Jinwoo to be the class representative?!" Seunghoon shouts

some more and almost all hands were up. Jinwoo sighed. There's nothing else he can do, is there? Seunghoon pats his

back. Taehyun laughs. The guy beside Taehyun just watches.

"What so you know him or something?" Mino asked his friend who's busy munching on his food in the cafeteria. Seunghoon

threw a chip at his friend. "Why? I just met him in the opening ceremony. Besides, why are you so curious about him?

Go and talk to him. He's a nice guy but he's a bit snob, I'll give you that. But I think he's just shy and awkward with new

people." Seunghoon tells him and points at Taehyun who's choosing what food to buy with Jinwoo. "Hey, where's Yoonie?"

Seunghoon added. "He doesn't want to come to school. Our homeroom teacher held me back after her period asking me

where he is. You know Seungyoon. Lazy prick. Mrs. Oh warns me that if he doesn't come, she'll drag me down

with him. Where is the logic there?" Mino sighs. "Bad for you, man. I chose to change my lifestyle now so the teachers

won't add some labels to my own  bad image." Seunghoon says. "You don't even have one. Everyone loves you. They

think you're funny and they're all wondering why you're even sticking with me and Seungyoon. The teachers are your only

haters." Mino disagrees. "Mino, my friend, only a few really loves me. I know that. You know that." Seunghoon tells him

and sips his cola. "Anyway, we should get going. i don't wanna be late for the next period again." Mino said, standing up.

"Woah woah woah woah Song Mino, what is this?" Seunghoon laughs. "As you said, so the teachers won't add some labels

to my own bad image." Mino smiles, dragging Seunghoon as he walks towards their room.

"Jinwoo, dear, can I please have a moment?" Mrs. Oh asked when Jinwoo and Taehyun passed by the faculty room. "Uhh...

sure." Jinwoo replied immediately. Taehyun gestured that he should go on and Jinwoo entered the room alone. "What is it,

Ma'am?" Jinwoo asked politely. "I know it's just your first day in here but can I ask you a favor?" She queries and Jinwoo

looks surprised. "A favor? I guess it's okay." Jinwoo smiled. Mrs. Oh started scribbling something on a piece of paper.

"You see, there's someone missing in the classroom earlier. He's your classmate Kang Seungyoon. I was wondering if you

could pay him a visit and tell him he needs to come here whether he likes it or not. He's been like this for the past years and

I won't have any of it for his last year here. This is the address. Is it okay with you?" Mrs. Oh explained. Jinwoo nods. "Alright

then, off you go. Thank you, Jinwoo." Jinwoo bows and leaves the room with a nervous sigh.

"Is it really okay for you to go there alone?" Taehyun asks for the umpteenth time, worry evident on his face. "Yes. I

better start being responsible now, yeah?" Jinwoo smiles. The rain is falling and Jinwoo is about to take off to someone

unknown and it makes Taehyun worry. A lot. "But it's raining Jinwoo-ah." Taehyun tries again. "I'm not a child anymore,

Taehyun-ah. I'll be fine. I promise." Jinwoo insists and Taehyun could not say no to those big deer eyes when he's pleading.

"Fine. Okay. Just be careful, okay?" Taehyun sighs and Jinwo hugged him tight. "Thanks~" Jinwoo says as he opens his

umbrella and steps into the rain. He waved a last goodbye and went off to the address given by his teacher.

Taehyun nervously bites his lips as he changes into his shoes. 'Will Jinwoo be alright?' is the chant his mind is saying. He

should have gone with him. taehyun hates himself. He closes his locker. There were only a few students left, including

Taehyun because he left his notebook at the classroom so he had to go back and he was stopped by some people for a

talk on the way there making his time longer. He sighs again, no one knows for how many times that day. He tries opening

his umbrella because it's raining. tries is the keyword. The umbrella is broken and Taehyun wants to throw tantrums by now.

Taehyun groans and put his palms against his face. Until someone poked him. "Uhh, Taehyun right?" a guy said.

Taehyun removes his hands from his face to look at the stranger. Only that stranger is not a stranger at all. "I'm Mino.

You took a picture of me a few days ago. I see you have some troubles with the rain. You can share my umbrella." The

guy said casually like you normally say that to people you've never talked to before. Taehyun thinks his heart may pop out

of his chest because Mino is offering an umbrella with a smile that reached his eyes.
