Namjoon is still holding Jimin when he feels the younger’s hands start to palm the back of his, fingers trailing along his arms, treading softly the outline of his veins that forever swells whenever he gets tensed or very angry or very, very worried–

“Hyung, I’m hungry.” Jimin’s voice is weak.

Namjoon lets go of Jimin’s waist as he stills in Jimin’s beautiful stubby hands caressing the fingertips before he intertwines them with his own.

“Why didn’t you tell me your back was hurting too?”

Namjoon whispers gently as Jimin lays deeper on his chest, head just below his. Namjoon can feel Jimin breathing softly, the sound of his heart beat more beautiful than any other music they have made, his head nesting perfectly as Namjoon brings his lips a short distance from Jimin’s temple tracing down to his cheekbones down to the neck as he breathes in Jimin’s scent of jasmine soap a fan gifts, taking in the luxury fragrance that mixes with the younger’s making him feel a little hazy, almost drunk, Jimin smells so good– before bringing his lips up against Jimin’s temple again just below his ears.

“What else are you hiding from me Park Jimin?”

His voice is soft and feathery and Jimin sips in the warmth of Namjoon’s breath on his nape as he turns around slowly and looks into the leader’s eyes, silted though filled with constellation of concerns.

They are close, so, so close, their noses are almost touching each other and Jimin thinks this is the most comfortable thing in the world. Namjoon does not ooze intimacy like Jin hyung and Taehyung do, or how Hoseok hyung is to him. But he’s not exactly cold either. Both him and Yoongi hyung aren’t. Not that everybody knows.

But Namjoon never is the type to show much attachment and it isn’t because he does not have it, no, Jimin sees it a lot when the leader is with Jin hyung, he sees it with the other members too though it is not often, but this one, this one, the one he is showing right now Jimin has never seen; it’s raw and and so pure out of endearment. Namjoon hyung looks so damn worried.

Because of him.

Jimin grimaces at the thought as he brings a hand to his hyung’s cheek, a little hesitant but once they touch, Jimin smiles in certain.

“Nothing hyung, nothing else...I’ll be fine after a few hours of sleep, I’ll be fine by tomorrow I know.”

Namjoon doesn’t say anything. He takes Jimin’s hand that is now flailing bringing it up against his very own cheek.

“Jungkook’s right, you’re burning up Jimin ah. Eat now, and then sleep. I’ll tell the manager hyungs to have you skip the practice until a day before the show. You’re already good anyways.”

Namjoon moves to get the bowl of porridge that Seokjin has brought and positions Jimin’s front to face his, now bringing the food to Jimin.

But Jimin just shakes his head and looks at Namjoon like a lost puppy, hands all fidgety before he speaks, almost soundless.

“Feed me, hyung?”

Namjoon goes rigid. This is new.

Jimin can see the uncertainty in his leader’s eyes now looking everywhere but at him, and Jimin thinks that maybe, just maybe, this is not the right thing to ask, the wrong person to ask.

He is about to take the bowl from Namjoon when the taller man nudges him towards the end of the sofa. Jimin’s back now supported comfortably on the cushion’s armrest.

“Hyung?”

Jimin looks at Namjoon’s eyes and he know at that instance he sees no longer the uncertainty the leader spots earlier, but Jimin does not want to take the chance.

“Hyung, I was joking. Give me that.”

Jimin reaches out to get the bowl but Namjoon hushes him off and moves closer until they’re only a few inches apart.

“Well… I can’t get you spilled on so you’re going to have to bare with my ugly face for a while.”

Namjoon snickers.
