Perhaps it was because the vast expanse of the large apartment in which he and Siwon lived seemed empty when he was alone, but Zhou Mi felt extremely lonely when Siwon left early the following morning. He'd seen Siwon off, but Siwon, worried that Zhou Mi wouldn't get enough rest, had insisted that he stay in bed.
"I have nothing to do all day; I don't need that much rest," Zhou Mi had smiled, slipping on a satin robe and following Siwon out of their bedroom. "Have breakfast before you leave, hm?" Zhou Mi insisted, already beginning to cook a pot of rice and some eggs for his husband's breakfast.
He'd always been a little neurotic about making sure that Siwon was taking care of himself; when Siwon's mind was on his job, he often thought of little else.
Siwon couldn't help but to smile as Zhou Mi went about the kitchen, cooking and setting the table despite the fact that it was only five in the morning. Zhou Mi always looked after him, however much Zhou Mi thought it was Siwon who looked after him.
"Don't you want any?" Siwon asked, worried as Zhou Mi sat beside him, eating only an orange.
Zhou Mi shook his head, picking at the orange. He didn't feel sick, exactly, but his stomach was feeling a little strange and despite having cooked breakfast, eggs and rice didn't really appeal to him at the moment. He didn't want to tell Siwon just how off he was feeling, however; knowing Siwon, he'd probably just not go on his business trip if he thought that Zhou Mi needed him.
Siwon wasn't satisfied with his lover's lack of explanation and he was indeed about to protest, but Zhou Mi hurried him out before he missed his flight.
