honey, he's a diva.

Song. Key. and Melody. {Hiatus}

{{A/N: from now on, anything writen like this will be spoken in Korean}}

The room was totally silent as the girl began to flutter her eyelashes open. She lifted herself off the pillow and clutched her forehead as it began to pound.

She shifted her eyes from side to side looking only out of the corners of her eyes.

“Mom~” she whined covering them with her hands and letting her weight pull her down. When her mother didn’t come she shot back up and threw her legs off to the side.

The throbbing pain was so great that she barely open her eyes causing her to wave her arms back and forth trying to find something to brace herself with. “Is anyone home?!” she called out again as she struggled to find a familiar structure.

The shuffling of footsteps swept across the floor and she turned to see them. “YuHee, is that you?”

The boy stared at her in this pitiful state. Did she seriously not know who he was? And why was she speaking English?

“YuHee, I can’t find my glasses and my head hurts like a . Where’s YuNa?”

The nameless girl stumbled forward and grabbed a hold of his shoulder. Before he could protest she wrapped her arms around his neck and pressed her body against his. As a reflux he began to push her away but stopped when he realized he felt strange, the hug almost seemed nice.

“YuHee, you can’t leave me and YuNa. You don’t need to go to school in Korea. There’s a university down the street.” She squeezed him tighter and then noticed something was wrong. “You’re not hugging back. What’s wrong?” She pressed her nose to his ear and breathed softly. “You don’t feel right either.” Her hands slid across his shoulders and then down to his chest.

“Wait…YuChun?”

Key was frozen, unable to move.

She grabbed her forehead and bent forward falling into the boy. “YuChun, where‘re your sisters?”

Key opened his mouth to speak but nothing happened.

“YuChun?” she asked touching the side of his face, fingers brushing his hair. “You grew it out! I told you buzz cuts were lame.” She smiled at him running her fingers through his hair.

‘How on earth could she be so friendly?’ Key thought losing his composure. It was crazy but he felt as though he was losing to someone, slowly being unraveled.

She giggled struggling to open her eyes. “YuChun, help me find my glasses…pretty pwease?” she pouted taking his hand and tugging him away.

If she can’t see then how does she expect to navigate through this room?’

He watched her carefully as she rammed her leg into a table.

“Ah! You’re parents have got to stop with this feng shui thing. I’ve told them already it’s just a bunch of mumbo-jumbo.” She rubbed her knee and continued leading the boy throughout his home.

She swung their arms back and forth blowing her bangs out of her face and away from the cut that had swollen into a bruise under the bandage.

Key watch helplessly as he followed the aimless girl. She tugged him past the hallway where he had put her stuff and squeezed her hand.

“What?”

He let go of her and walked to her bags pulling a purse from the stack. He opened the snap and rummaged for a box.

“YuChun?”

He sighed heavily and handed the girl her glasses.

“Oh, xie xie…” she smiled bowing slightly. She placed the glasses onto her face and pushed the frames upwards with the back of her hand. “Now where is YuNa and…” Her voice trailed off as she squinted her eyes open and peered around the room.

“…” she muttered widening her eyes as much as she could without stressing her forehead. Her gaze fell on the boy and then she swallowed. He was a totally stranger and she blushed realizing she had practically molested him. “Uh, what’s going on?” she asked taking half a step back.

Key smirked convinced he had caught onto her game. No one ed with Kim KiBum and got away with it. “You know what’s going on,” he sneered in English snaking his way to her. He pushed her chin foreward with an index finger and sized her up. “I have to admit, you are quite the actress.”

She took a step backwards until she felt the wall.

“So what is it that you want?” he asked leaning over her curling the left side of his face into a snarl. “Signature, money…favors?”

She blinked at the boy and sank down lower and lower to the ground until her eyes were level with his chest. She looked at her hands in then back to the boy. “YuNa, YuHee….YuChun,” she called out. “You’re game isn’t funny anymore.”

“Stop with the act already,” he spat grabbing her face. “I already said that I would give you what you want, now just tell me what it is and be on your way.”

“…YuNa….?”

He rolled his eyes and collapsed his head forward. “Give it a rest.” He sighed and then looked up at the girl with pleading eyes. “Today is a bad day…so just make it quick.”

The girl blinked.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about. I don’t want anything from you.”

He furrowed his eyebrows. “But then why did you call me out earlier?”

“I called you out? I don’t even know your name.”

He laughed coldly. “Of course you do, I’m the almightily…wait! What are you doing?!”

She had scooted her body against the wall shimming herself away from him. “I don’t like this joke. It’s not very funny,” she muttered pouting. “I don’t understand what’s going on. I was just at YuNa’s house.”

KiBum rubbed his temples and sighed heavily. “You’re not at YuNa’s house. You’re at my house.”

The girl froze and slowly letting gravity work against her. “But I was just there. And YuHee was there too! We were wishing her away to college with a party.”

No, you’re at my house. You out in the middle of Seoul.”

She blinked. “Seoul? No-no-no-no…I live in California. I live off the Pacific coast. I love it here; there is no way I would be in Seoul.”

Key shook his head at the girl. “You’re in Korea. Do you speak Korean?” he asked using the new language.

“I don’t speak Korean, I don’t understand it one bit!” she spat standing up and poking his chest.

He snorted softly. 'This girl has GOT to be bi-polar or something.'

“Well how did you understand that?”

“I-I. don’t. know.” She stared blankly at the boy forgetting why she was so angry to begin with.

He tapped two fingers on the side of her head. “What exactly is up there? Rice?”

“Buzz off!” she snarled knocking away his hand.

“Where do you think we are? I already told you this is my house.”

She sighed and rolled her eyes. “What’s going on?”

“You’re not listening to me,” KiBum nagged smacking his hand to his forehead. “You called my name out in the middle of a crowded street, fell into a pole, and then out. Being the caring SOB I am I couldn’t leave you there. I brought you here so you could wake up comfortably and then I was going to send you home.”

The girl squeeze her eyes shut. “So let’s say you’re right. You don’t seem to know me, and I don’t think I’ve met you before…so why would I call you out?”

He the corner of his mouth and scolded himself. For some reason her mood swings were actually turning him on. “Because,” he started and then thought for a second. Did he really want to tell her he was famous? If all goes well she would be gone in a few hours and he would never have to worry about her again, so why would he need to tell her such a minor detail? “Because,” he exhaled. “I was wearing a name tag. People thought we were together because you called me out and so when you out everyone expected me to help you.”

“So what is your name?” she asked.

“Kim KiBum.”

She bit the side of her lip. “Choi ChoHee.”

Kibum furrowed his brow. “That’s not what your passport says.”

“You looked at my passport?” she pushed him with an open palm to his chest. “What all did you see?”

“I don’t think it matters so much if you can’t remember,” he sneered.

“Yah! It’s still my privacy!” She ran her hand through her hair and then glanced at him. “Where...is my passport?”

He handed her the purse and she whirled around the contents looking for the booklet. “What’s this?” She pulled out a bag with pieces of metal and plastic.

“I think that used to be a handphone.”

She tilted her head like a curious child earning a muffled laugh from KiBum.

“Handphone…cellphone?”

She nodded and then pulled out the small book. “Oh, what a cute name!”

KiBum peered over her shoulder and looked down. “What is it?”

“Her name is Chinese, it’s really cute too! I bet her friends call her Lulu,” ChoHee giggled turning the pages.

"That's your name," he scoffed.

“It’s unusual,” she began, ignoring the boy. “I don’t think I’ve met anyone with the name XuanLu before. Actually, I don’t even think it’s a name…Oh; she’s been to Taiwan too! Lucky girl, my mom’s Taiwanese.”

KiBum sighed and pulled the booklet form her. “Don’t you think she looks familiar?” he asked hold it up so she could see the picture.

ChoHee squinted her eyes and shook her head. “Hmm, don’t think so, but she looks cute.”

KiBum grabbed her chin and looked her square in the eyes. “It’s you, you dope.”

“Um no. I’ve never been to Taiwan, nor do I look this pale.”

He looked deep into her eyes and then back at the picture. “It’s such a small image. How can you say it’s not you? I think you resemble.”

“Yah!” she swatted at his hand again but he grabbed her wrist instinctively pulling it down.

“You’re the girl in the passport, how else could you have gotten into Korea?”

She smirked. “First you need to prove to me that this is Korea.”

He let out a sound that was somewhere between a groan and a gargle. 'There is NO way that I am going outside with her. What if I get spotted?' He thought about the different ways that he could demonstrate that this was in fact Korea and that is was no joke. “We could call someone,” he offered.

“No, you two could be in on it.”

He ran his hands through his hair disheveling it as he did so. “The TV, watch it.”

She pouted and then walked back over to the couch taking a seat on the edge. “Where’s the remote?”

He took the plastic device from behind the cushion and pointed it at the TV turning it on. He flicked through TV shows searching for the news, and then stopped on a channel displaying the weather for the week.

See, I told you this is Korea,” He smirked feeling a little proud of himself.

She tapped a finger on her chin staring into the screen. “So it’s raining all week,” she muttered.

His jaw dropped ever so slightly. “Yah, you believe me now right?!”

She looked up to him briefly and then back to the screen. “I suppose, but I don’t understand why I’m here.”

“Stop ting me!” he spat at the girl. “You can understand Korean, as well. You were talking to me in it before you fell.

“Is that so?” she emitted tranced by the moving pictures. “Oh, what a cute boy!” she gasped causing Kibum’s eyes to flicker up to the screen.

“Fu-NO!” He immediately changed the channel stopping at a cooking network.

“Hey what was that about?” she asked craning her neck backwards. “That was actually interesting. The fashion he was wearing was edgy and cool.” She paused turning herself to face him and then sat on her knees to look him eye to eye. “You didn’t by chance copy his hairstyle did you?” she motioned to his also blonde hair.

“That brat?! Hell no!” There was no way that he, the Almighty Key, would do something because it was trendy. If anything he set trends and his dongsaeng happened to follow.

He suddenly realized that the girl was lost and had no idea what was going on.

“Anyways, now that you believe me, let’s start over. My name is Kim Kibum, nice to meet you.” He decided that hiding the details of who he was would be better for the both of them.

She took his hand and shook it firmly. “Apparently my name is Choi XuanLu, and I appear to have amnesia.”

He smirked feeling the air between them tense up. There could only be one diva in this house, and honey it was him.

“Oh and sorry for being a jerk earlier.” She smiled cocking her head to the side. “It was some sort of impulse, not sure where it came from…but I assure you, I’m not typically like that.”

He let go of her hand and became dead in the eyes as she twirled around taking a seat back on the couch. Just what kind of nut job did he bring home?

Hmmms... Is Jjong up to something bad? But he seems like a good person, so I think he's only up to something mischievous. Haha.

XuanLu's so adorable. I love how she bickers with Key. But I wonder why she can't speak Korean even though she understands it; is it because of she lost part of her memory? It just doesn't make too much sense to me. I'd think that she would either know how to speak and listen to Korean like before, or not know the Korean language at all.

Ah, the Chinese fits perfectly. I'm glad. However, the last bit sounds a little awkward. You might want to change it to 该死的家伙 (gai si de jia huo), which roughly translates to 'he should die/he should go to hell'.

该死 (gai si) is usually said to someone in his/her face, but since XuanLu seemed to be muttering to herself, I thought that you should add in something to make it sound that way. Though the word for word translation of 该死的家伙 (gai si de jia huo) is 'he should die/he should go to hell', but it actually can be interpreted as 'go die/go to hell' like 该死 (gai si).

Hope the Chinese don't confuse you. xD

As for the story, the first part made me wonder - what exactly did XuanLu not remember from the previous night? Why does Key seem to be so close with her all of a sudden? And of course, I'm still a little confuse over the poor girl's condition. Lols.

I see my name! Thank you! -bows-

This chapter is so cute. You definitely made loads of changes, and I can see more maturity in your writing as compared to the previous one. Good job!

Once again, you made me question the nickname you made for XuanLu. It had looked and sounded weird to me at first, yet, after repeating it again and again in my head, Lulu started sounding extremely adorable to the ears. You really did change my mind about having unusual names/nicknames. xD

Oh, and just a little something I thought you might want to know: XuanLu's Chinese family name would be Cui (崔), since her Korean family name is Choi. I searched Minho's name and came up with the correct translation of the family name. Thought you might find it useful. ^^

Love your poster, btw. The colour combination is pretty. (:

I personally like the previous Chinese name better, but since you're the author, it's your choice. Just wondering though, are you a Chinese?

Oh, and I'm liking the first chapter even more now! ^^
