Again XuanLu twitched her eyes but kept them shut refusing to believe that she was awake. Her cheek was pressed against something soft and she sighed nuzzling up to it. Her arms tightened around her pillow and she begged for more sleep. If only there wasn’t a sharp pain above the left eye. If only the sun didn’t peak through her window so often.

Wait, I don’t have windows, I live in the basement.’

Her eyes opened cautiously to white fabric. Her eyelashes fluttered constantly as she tried to wake up. Why did her pillow smell so….

“You up yet?” a voice murmured and she jumped back, punching the pillow. “Ahh-huh,” the voice couched.

She covered her lower face with her hands. “Mian! Oh, I’m so sorry!” she rushed hurrying to stand up and bow. At the same time she couldn’t help but notice she was in nothing but an oversized dress shirt.

She looked from her state to KiBum who was rubbing his chest. “Wha…what happened last night?”

His eyes caught hers and then her sprawled out onto the bed. “You really don’t remember do you?”

She shook her head taking a step back in the process. Sometimes she sleepwalked other times she did worse.

“Well, what do you remember about last night?” he asked rolling onto his side.

His eyes were mesmerizing and thin. She felt that he was looking straight through her and covered herself with her arms.

She thought back to the night before and bit at her lower lip. “Well, I remember you telling me to sleep on the bed, but I refused because it’s rude. I don’t remember anything after that,” she admitted combing her fingers through her hair.

He kicked his legs off the bed and wandered over to her. “You really don’t remember?”

She parted her lips to speak but instead he wrapped his arms around her pulling her into his chest. “You’re such a stupid girl.”

She stood there confused, shocked and incredibly warm, the last confusing her even more.

“But I don’t know what I did,” she muffled into his shoulder. She hated thinking of all the things that might have happened.

He wrapped his fingers around her shoulders and pushed her away softly. “I’m keeping my promise. I’ll tell you when you remember again.”

She narrowed her eyes. “But…did I…” she twisted and turned away from him.

He jumped back releasing her. “No, nothing like that happened,” he said flustered.

She gave a sigh of relief and returned a smile. “Then I trust that you’ll keep your promise?”

He nodded shuffling her hair. “Even if you don’t, I still won’t break it.”

Her fingertips hurried to place her hair back behind her ears. “I’m sorry for being so much trouble,” she announced bowing quickly, covering her backside with her hands.

“Don’t worry about it for now. I have to get ready for work and you’re more than welcome to come,” he smiled scratching his scalp.

Her bottom lip fell slightly. “But, shouldn’t I try and figure out where I’m supposed to be? I must have motel room or something.”

“We tore your bags apart yesterday looking for a receipt. Do you remember that?”

She cocked her head to the side. “We did?”

He chuckled starting to pull his jacket off. “You have some strange form of amnesia. Last night you fell asleep watching TV on the couch. Then you woke up and decided to look for a room key or something that would explain where you’re here.” He took the arms of the jacket and tucked them behind each other. “Then you laid back down.”

She shook her head, “Is that was I promised you not to tell?”

He looked at her from the corners of his eye as he started to turn. “No, it’s not.” He felt uneasy tiptoeing so close to the subject. “XuanLu, don’t worry about it.”

--

It seemed like he took forever to get ready. By the time she had finished her shower he was still deciding that to wear. Luckily he was able to clean himself fast enough, but after changing he disappeared into the bathroom for what seemed like an eternity.

“KiBum?” XuanLu asked knocking on the door lightly. “You said we were going to leave at ten…its nine-forty-five.”

She knocked again and the door swung open. He looked up at her with a towel on his head and stared at her. “I know; I’ll be ready soon.”

He began to shut the door but she pushed a hand against it disallowing it to close. “What is taking so long?”

He turned his head away. “Don’t worry about it.”

She was starting to get flustered with his inability to answer her questions. “Tell me right now, you’re going to be late again.”

“Hey now!” he almost shouted. “Yesterday was your fault, and I didn’t even go. Now I have to go early today just to be scolded!”

She rolled her eyes at him and pulled the towel off of his head, “We’re leaving...oh god, what did you do?”

He quickly put the fabric over the mess of hair he was unable to tame. “It’s nothing…just wait a little.”

“No, no, no…WE have got to fix this.” She pressed her weight against the door and shooed him away. “Where’s your flat-iron, hair wax, spray and gel?”

He pointed to the hair products and she huddled them into her arms. “You are no longer allowed to use them.”

He looked absolutely distressed. “Then what do I do about this?!” he shrieked pulling at his hair.

She took a comb and began to untangle the nest. “Let me handle this, I’ll be done in five.”

He bent down lower for her and watched as she fixed his mistake. His fingers glided through his hair brushing his scalp and he couldn’t help but feel uneasy. Something about this made him nervous, was it her? Or the possibility that his hair would be a hundred times worse?

She worked her way through the hairspray and tangles until she had braided one side of his head. “Now for the rest of it,” she muttered taking the straightener and curling what was left.

He watched her as she began to smile at her work, eyes twinkling with pride.

“All done!”

He turned to the mirror and raised his hands up. “Is this really my hair?” he asked scared to touch the masterpiece.

“Come on,” she whined pulling the diva from his reflection. “You need to leave NOW!”

--

Maybe I shouldn’t have left her alone,’ Key thought opening walking his way to the plastic tent outside of the SM building. He turned to catch a glimpse of her in the garden but ran into something, or rather someone, instead.

Just where have you been?” an angry voice he knew to be Park TaeWon yelled. “I’ve been looking for you for the past half hour, where have you been?

The boy looked up at him and scowled. “You said to be here by ten thirty. It’s barely ten twenty,” he spat.

That’s not the point,” the older man said waving his hand in the air as if it changed the atmosphere. “You didn’t show up yesterday and that created a mess for me. Do you know how much trouble I was in?!” The man was getting overly worked up and angry.

KiBum clenched his jaw back grinding his teeth against each other. ‘God, this mother f^cker pisses me off.’ His hands tightened into fists and he released the tension in his face moving it to another part of his body. “I said I was sick, what more do you want? I even called the President and told him that I was throwing up with a migraine. It was only an hour long dance practice, what’s your problem?

My problem? MY PROBLEM! My problem is you attitude KiBum! You should have called me earlier to let me know what was going on!" he was screaming at the boy, face becoming red. “You’re making me look bad in front of my boss, your president!!

KiBum suddenly imagined hitting the man across the face. Fist kissing the man’s jaw perfectly, dislocating the structure and possibly dislodging teeth.

ARE YOU EVEN LISTENING??!

KiBum fell back to reality and rolled his eyes at his Manager. “Loud and clear…” ‘ing bastard.’

The man was shaking with anger, not about to let him off the hook so easily. “I ASKED IF YOU WERE…

There was a tap on the man’s shoulder and he his heel ever so slightly to see the new being. “Sorry Hyung,” a shorter man said looking at his watch. “They need Key, now!

The Manager growled as KiBum evaded his furry once again. “Don’t think this is over!” he snapped as the boy passed him flicking him off when he turned around.

Hyung,” the staff began, patting the Manager’s back. “I heard you got engaged?

The Idol could hear the disgusting sound of a snarl morphing into a slick smirk. “I did. She’s years younger than me and the perfect Korean doll. It’s a good thing that KiBum was able to do some to his hair today, scratch that…a miracle. My fiancé wasn’t feeling up to par so I told her to stay home. You know she’s the new stylist?

KiBum dug his heels into the dirt. ‘Hell, if your fiancé ever touches my hair I’ll burn it all off.’

--

There was something about the air that was calming as XuanLu took a seat on the cement bench. She looked around the garden and then up at the enormous building that towered over her.

KiBum works up there, somewhere,’ she thought kicking her feet back and forth. She tried to imagine all of the different tasks he would do in such a large office, but none of them seemed logical with his fashion sense and diva attitude. ‘Maybe he’s a secretary,’ she hummed into the air. Just then, a group of girls tip-toed their way through the flower bed, shoving each other in front.

Anni, you first!” the smallest of the three said. “Isn’t your Oppa head of security?

Ah-yeh, gundae….I don’t think he-

A man wearing black appeared in front of them eyeing them to back off. “Just where do you think you’re going?” he asked, voice booming in and out of the three girl’s ears.

We were just…” the tallest started then quickly hid in the back of the group.

You were trying to sneak back there, weren’t you?

The three girls coward behind each other grasping for a way out. “Gun-gun-gundae! What about her?!” one of them shrieked pointing to XuanLu.

Everyone has to leave the property, right now!

XuanLu swallowed, where was she supposed to go, the car? It was locked and KiBum said he wouldn’t be done for an hour or two.

I said LEAVE!

The girls jumped and scattered seeking shelter behind XuanLu. Within moments the guard was standing over her glaring. “The four of you are together, aren’t you?

She looked at the girls and then back to the man. “Nǐhuì jiǎng huáyǔma?” she asked softly wincing at his anger.

His eyebrows furrowed at her gibberish and he spoke to the other girls. “Is this some type of trick, I’ve never seen this before.

XuanLu stood up causing the guard to stumble backwards making the girls giggle softly. “Wǒsuī bùnéng jiǎng hán yǔ, dàn wǒnéng tīng dé dǒng!” she exclaimed frustrated by her state as well. She dropped her head down and then calmly asked, “What about English?”

The man smirked looking at his way to show off.

“Es, I now enrish,” he sneered.

“Do you now?” XuanLu chuckled. “Kàn lái nǐde yīngwén bāng bù shàng nǐde máng.” She glanced at the girls and then back to the man. “I’m not with them. I’m just waiting on a friend.”

He chuckled rolling his eyes, “That’s what they all say.

XuanLu put her hands on her hips. “It’s true!”

He looked up at her confused, did she really understand him. “But you can’t speak Korean.

She smacked her hands against her face. “But I un-der-STAND!” she pointed to herself and nodded softly. “My friend is interviewing someone,” she explained pointing to KiBum’s general direction. “He’s my ride and I have no intentions of leaving this spot. He told me to wait.”

The man looked at the girls and motioned for them to leave. As they walked away they peered over each other to get a look at the girl who evaded security.

Let me get this straight,” the guard began looking XuanLu in the eyes. “You can understand Korean, but can’t speak it?

She nodded. “Yeh, all I want is to leave, but my ride is working.”

He squinted his eyes failing to misunderstand the message. “If I find you anywhere else I’ll make sure you never see this property again.

She covered and yawned. “Right now I’m too tired to argue with you.” She took a seat back on the bench and looked around the garden. “If you don’t trust me come back every few minutes.”

He rubbed his neck and looked at the odd girl. ‘Maybe she’s a trainee,’ he thought as she collapsed the rest of her body onto the bench. ‘A stubborn trainee.’

She sighed softly. "Gāisǐ de jiāhuo."

Hmmms... Is Jjong up to something bad? But he seems like a good person, so I think he's only up to something mischievous. Haha.

XuanLu's so adorable. I love how she bickers with Key. But I wonder why she can't speak Korean even though she understands it; is it because of she lost part of her memory? It just doesn't make too much sense to me. I'd think that she would either know how to speak and listen to Korean like before, or not know the Korean language at all.

Ah, the Chinese fits perfectly. I'm glad. However, the last bit sounds a little awkward. You might want to change it to 该死的家伙 (gai si de jia huo), which roughly translates to 'he should die/he should go to hell'.

该死 (gai si) is usually said to someone in his/her face, but since XuanLu seemed to be muttering to herself, I thought that you should add in something to make it sound that way. Though the word for word translation of 该死的家伙 (gai si de jia huo) is 'he should die/he should go to hell', but it actually can be interpreted as 'go die/go to hell' like 该死 (gai si).

Hope the Chinese don't confuse you. xD

As for the story, the first part made me wonder - what exactly did XuanLu not remember from the previous night? Why does Key seem to be so close with her all of a sudden? And of course, I'm still a little confuse over the poor girl's condition. Lols.

I see my name! Thank you! -bows-

This chapter is so cute. You definitely made loads of changes, and I can see more maturity in your writing as compared to the previous one. Good job!

Once again, you made me question the nickname you made for XuanLu. It had looked and sounded weird to me at first, yet, after repeating it again and again in my head, Lulu started sounding extremely adorable to the ears. You really did change my mind about having unusual names/nicknames. xD

Oh, and just a little something I thought you might want to know: XuanLu's Chinese family name would be Cui (崔), since her Korean family name is Choi. I searched Minho's name and came up with the correct translation of the family name. Thought you might find it useful. ^^

Love your poster, btw. The colour combination is pretty. (:

I personally like the previous Chinese name better, but since you're the author, it's your choice. Just wondering though, are you a Chinese?

Oh, and I'm liking the first chapter even more now! ^^
