interesting.

Song. Key. and Melody. {Hiatus}

He made his way into the garden ducking into the bushes to avoid his manager and the occasional fangirl. ‘Maybe I shouldn’t hide my idol status.’ He thought to himself peering around the flowerbed. He caught a glimpse of someone and hid behind a tree. ‘Nuh-uh, she knows. She’s making a fool of me.’

KiBum walked over to the girl sleeping carelessly on a cement bench. “Yah, wake up!” he demanded.

She didn’t budge, didn’t even so much as twitch.

He bent down to her and stared at her face. Warm cheeks smooth against her clasped hands, lips parted only to let in soft breaths. He became conflicted watching her sleep. Was she really as innocent as she appeared? Or was she hiding from him altogether?

He in his bottom lip, moistening it to ready himself. “XuanLu, wake up,” he whispered.

She moaned gently and he brushed her stray hairs behind her ear. “Xuanie~”

Her body sat up, eyes still shut tight.

“XuanLu?”

She leaned forward outstretching a hand until it found his face, tears slowly seeping from her closed eyes.

“This isn’t what I wanted!” she cried into her other hand, sobbing over and over.

“Again?” he muttered pushing her hair out of her face. “Shh shh…” he breathed trying to calm her.

“I can’t do it. I won’t do it,” she wailed extending her weight out to KiBum until he caught her.

“No one’s making you do anything,” he hushed. “You don’t need to cry.”

She dug her face into his chest tugging at his collar. “I don’t-” she wheezed as he rubbed her cheeks with the back of his fingers. Her breathing started to calm but he still insisted on his special technique. He traced a line from the corners of her features, her eyes, nose and mouth, then following her jaw line so that he cupped her face.

He looked at the girl resting her against his shoulder. ‘How could someone fake this?’ he thought combing his fingers through her hair.

Slowly she began to move again letting out sighs of content.

“Are you awake?” he asked as her weight shifted.

Her arms found their way around him as her cheek pressed against his neck. He wondered if it were a joke and waved away the notion.

Her eyelids lifted slowly and fluttered as her eyes connected to his. “What happened?”

He looked at her blankly and smiled. “You fell asleep.”

She rubbed her eyes looking around. “But why are you…Never mind.” She leaned into him wrapping her arms back around him. “I give up, I’m too tired.”

The boy smirked lifting her up steadily. “Are you feeling hungry?”

She rested her head against his shoulder. “Maybe a little.”

There was a gasp and the girl opened one eye to see the figure before her.

What’s this?!” a boy maybe a few years older than XuanLu shrieked.

She lifted her weight off of KiBum and stared intently at the new boy. “Why are you so noisy?” she grumbled into KiBum’s shoulder.

The blonde turned to the new figure and widened his thin eyes recognizing the boy. “J-Jjong! I can explain!

The boy looked at the two in their embrace and backed away slowly. “I don’t think there is anything you can say to make this okay."

XuanLu closed her eyes and exhaled deeply keeping her cheek at KiBum’s shoulder. “I understand you,” she sighed tickling his neck with her breath.

KiBum bit his bottom lip trying to come up with a story and fast. “This is just my co-worker,” he told her in Korean and she nodded. “We conduct interviews together," he stressed hoping that Jonghyun would get the message.

He looked oddly at the boy trying to process what he meant by “co-workers.” KiBum motioned with his head to the girl and shook his head. The dino gazed completely confused and then dropped his mouth.

We…the two of us, interview people," Jonghyun said in layman’s terms.

She looked up at the boy with her big golden eyes and the side of his mouth twitched. “An-KiBum, how do you say hello in Korean?” she asked pushing herself away from him.

Annyohaseyo."

She held a hand up and smiled cutely. “Annyo, XaunLu eem…emm….”

Nida,” KiBum finished for her.

“Xiexie,” she said thanking him.

(A/N: hohoho…so repetitive.)

Do you speak Korean?” JongHyun asked staring deeply at her.

“Not so much. I understand it though.”

KiBum translated for him and she grumbled. “That’s what I said.”

He nodded. “In English.”

“It all is processed the same in my head.”

He chuckled and turned to Jonghyun.

I still don’t understand,” the older boy muttered looking from one to the other.

KiBum sighed. “XuanLu doesn’t remember much of anything. She’s staying with me until any part of her memory returns."

The girl blinked slowly gazing from one boy to the other and before she could register the situation, she was laying in the front seat of KiBum’s car with the slow boy in the back.

Hey, you know if you stay at the dorm, weird things won’t happen,” Jjong said once XuanLu was asleep.

Interesting.

Excuse me?

KiBum bit his bottom lip glancing over at XuanLu. “Not weird, interesting."

The older boy nodded his head resting it against the front seat. “What’s so special about her?

KiBum was taken aback by the sudden change of tone. “Bwoh?

Jjong chuckled and looked at the girl her hair back. “There’s something about her you like, isn’t there?

KiBum’s fingers gripped around the steering wheel. “It’s not like that."

The older boy taped his fingers against KiBum’s seat as he stared at the girl. “She is beautiful. I wonder if she’d…

YAH!” KiBum yelled causing XuanLu to stir. “Don’t you dare."

Arrasso, arrasso, but I want to go back to your place. I’ll have someone pick me up."

He eyed his Hyung through the rearview mirror. He could tell JongHyun was up to something, he just couldn’t tell what.

Hmmms... Is Jjong up to something bad? But he seems like a good person, so I think he's only up to something mischievous. Haha.

XuanLu's so adorable. I love how she bickers with Key. But I wonder why she can't speak Korean even though she understands it; is it because of she lost part of her memory? It just doesn't make too much sense to me. I'd think that she would either know how to speak and listen to Korean like before, or not know the Korean language at all.

Ah, the Chinese fits perfectly. I'm glad. However, the last bit sounds a little awkward. You might want to change it to 该死的家伙 (gai si de jia huo), which roughly translates to 'he should die/he should go to hell'.

该死 (gai si) is usually said to someone in his/her face, but since XuanLu seemed to be muttering to herself, I thought that you should add in something to make it sound that way. Though the word for word translation of 该死的家伙 (gai si de jia huo) is 'he should die/he should go to hell', but it actually can be interpreted as 'go die/go to hell' like 该死 (gai si).

Hope the Chinese don't confuse you. xD

As for the story, the first part made me wonder - what exactly did XuanLu not remember from the previous night? Why does Key seem to be so close with her all of a sudden? And of course, I'm still a little confuse over the poor girl's condition. Lols.

I see my name! Thank you! -bows-

This chapter is so cute. You definitely made loads of changes, and I can see more maturity in your writing as compared to the previous one. Good job!

Once again, you made me question the nickname you made for XuanLu. It had looked and sounded weird to me at first, yet, after repeating it again and again in my head, Lulu started sounding extremely adorable to the ears. You really did change my mind about having unusual names/nicknames. xD

Oh, and just a little something I thought you might want to know: XuanLu's Chinese family name would be Cui (崔), since her Korean family name is Choi. I searched Minho's name and came up with the correct translation of the family name. Thought you might find it useful. ^^

Love your poster, btw. The colour combination is pretty. (:

I personally like the previous Chinese name better, but since you're the author, it's your choice. Just wondering though, are you a Chinese?

Oh, and I'm liking the first chapter even more now! ^^
