...and she fell from the sky. well, sorta.

Song. Key. and Melody. {Hiatus}

It was a dark afternoon with an ominous overcast. People chattered to each other as they crossed the streets huddling together as they dared to walk the eight lanes of traffic. They needlessly pushed and shoved while they were all attempting to reach the same goal…avoid being hit.

On one side of the street a boy waited for an opening in the sea of people, not wanting to share in their filth-fest. He pressed his index finger to the bridge of his sunglasses taking a deep breath as he did so. There were so many people to dodge and so little time to get to work on schedule. The crosswalk lit up and he exhaled another breath and stomped his way to the other side of the street.

He took each step carefully peering at the people around him from behind his shades. He had taken painstaking measures to hide every blonde hair beneath his hat and the last thing he needed was for someone to recognize him.

He pulled himself into his jacket scared that maybe even his scent would give him away. He cursed to himself wondering why of all days his car had simply stopped working.

“Yah! You in the blue!” a voice called out and he turned away.

A lot of people were wearing blue, but it was still that fact that: he was who he was and was wearing blue, freaked him out.

“Yah! You, in the sunglasses!” the voice yelled again.

This time he knew it was him. ‘No one in their right mind would be wearing sunglasses on a day like this except for the Almighty Key,’ he thought to himself. ‘But now is not the time to be prideful. Maybe I can just…’

“Yah! KiBum!”

He froze. Only a few minutes from work and he was caught. All it took was one person to recognize him and he would be humiliated for the rest of his life. He was after all the Almighty Key, and hell if he was going to let everyone know his luck was like everyone else’s, crappy.

“Yah!”

He spun on his heel to face the annoying obstacle. ‘Maybe I can just be on my way with a smile,’ he pondered walking quickly to the girl.

She stood on her toes trying to see over the crowd of people that had flocked to the crosswalk. She failed her arms shamelessly pleading to get the boy’s attention.

“Just what do you-” He stopped mid sentence gawking at the girl.

“KiBum!” she smiled taking a step forward to the boy. “It’s so nice to meet you.” She was about to reach forward to shake his hand when a man on a bicycle ran her over causing her to fall backwards. With this twisted form of fate, Key could only watch as the girl bounced like a pinball in the crowd of people before being pushed into a pole.

“Oh God!” He muttered running to the girl.

He held her up by her shoulders and looked around for the crazy bastard. Unfortunately, as luck would have it, the man was nowhere to be seen.

“Oh, would you look at that! That boy over there looks like he’s filming a drama of some sort,” a woman said pointing to Key.

“Anniyo, it’s not like that,” he waved and then looked back to the girl.

She didn’t look so bad, actually Key thought she looked better…silent…not yelling his name into the world. He brushed some strands out of her face and then patted her cheeks. “Yah, time to wake up,” he demanded letting his pats turn into light slaps.

The girl however, didn’t move. She merely stayed there motionless neither dead nor awake. Key assumed that she had passed out from the sight of and Idol and continued shaking her.

“Yah~ wake up.”

She didn’t budge and this was starting to scare Key. He checked her pulse several times and looked around for help. ‘Maybe she has some friends nearby,’ he thought wrapping her arm around his shoulder.

Soon there was a large crowd forming around them and from the looks of it, none of them knew her. Key glanced up and was shocked to see so many ahjummas and girls huddled around them.

“Do you think their filming a movie?”

“Can’t possibly, there’re no cameras.”

“What about hidden ones?”

“Omo, is she alright?”

He laughed uneasily avoiding their eyes. ‘Forget being humiliated in public, if this gets out, it’ll be a scandal!’ he mentally screamed. He looked back at the girl and noticed a thin trail of blood sliding down her forehead. Without thinking he covered her face with a hand to hide the cut.

“Please excuse my girlfriend. I’ve been gone for a really long time and she was so surprised to see me, she fainted.” He smiled a crocodile grin and held her up to his chest, slowly backing away from the women.

“Did you just get back from the army?” a girl asked taking a step towards him.

“That’s so sweet!” an older woman gushed holding her hands to her face.

Key stumbled backwards holding the girl in his arms. ‘How the am I supposed to get out of this?

“Excuse ME,” a deep voice commanded and Key stopped dead in his tracks.

He swung 180 degrees and came face to face with a short ugly man.

“If she’s your girlfriend then you owe me money, and take her stuff too.”

Key peered around the man and noticed his cab parked on the side of the street. “Ajusshi, I’ll pay for it all…but can you take us somewhere first?”

Hmmms... Is Jjong up to something bad? But he seems like a good person, so I think he's only up to something mischievous. Haha.

XuanLu's so adorable. I love how she bickers with Key. But I wonder why she can't speak Korean even though she understands it; is it because of she lost part of her memory? It just doesn't make too much sense to me. I'd think that she would either know how to speak and listen to Korean like before, or not know the Korean language at all.

Ah, the Chinese fits perfectly. I'm glad. However, the last bit sounds a little awkward. You might want to change it to 该死的家伙 (gai si de jia huo), which roughly translates to 'he should die/he should go to hell'.

该死 (gai si) is usually said to someone in his/her face, but since XuanLu seemed to be muttering to herself, I thought that you should add in something to make it sound that way. Though the word for word translation of 该死的家伙 (gai si de jia huo) is 'he should die/he should go to hell', but it actually can be interpreted as 'go die/go to hell' like 该死 (gai si).

Hope the Chinese don't confuse you. xD

As for the story, the first part made me wonder - what exactly did XuanLu not remember from the previous night? Why does Key seem to be so close with her all of a sudden? And of course, I'm still a little confuse over the poor girl's condition. Lols.

I see my name! Thank you! -bows-

This chapter is so cute. You definitely made loads of changes, and I can see more maturity in your writing as compared to the previous one. Good job!

Once again, you made me question the nickname you made for XuanLu. It had looked and sounded weird to me at first, yet, after repeating it again and again in my head, Lulu started sounding extremely adorable to the ears. You really did change my mind about having unusual names/nicknames. xD

Oh, and just a little something I thought you might want to know: XuanLu's Chinese family name would be Cui (崔), since her Korean family name is Choi. I searched Minho's name and came up with the correct translation of the family name. Thought you might find it useful. ^^

Love your poster, btw. The colour combination is pretty. (:

I personally like the previous Chinese name better, but since you're the author, it's your choice. Just wondering though, are you a Chinese?

Oh, and I'm liking the first chapter even more now! ^^
