MUZIK (Korean: 음악; stylized as Muzik) is a South Korean girl group formed by MBK Entertainment in 2015. The members consist of Grace, June, Yuri, Hara. They released their first mini album, MUZIK on December 30, 2014 and debuted on January 1, 2015.
History
2014: Announced, MUZIK
MUZIK was first announced on November 21st and the sister group to T-ARA! They are to set to debut in Jnuary of next year. Members started to be revealed on December 1st-December 20th. The MV for MUZIK and mini album was released on December 30th.
June's older brother is Sejoon of SPEED and Yuri's older sister is Youngji of KARA.
2015: Debut, HUH, 'Mr. Teacher', M.E's departure, disbandment
MUZIK made their debut on January 1, 2015; making them the first group and first girl group to debut in 2015.
MUZIK hinted on their comeback on March 20th with teaser images titled 'HUH' ('Hit Your Heart'). A MV teaser was then released on March 24th with their comeback song 'HUH'. The full MV was released on March 26th along with their second mini album titled 'Hit Your Heart'.
'HUH' topped music charts at number three one day after its release.
Then on June 30th MBK Entertainment annouced that MUZIK would have their first variety show titled 'Mr. Teacher'. It aired from July 11th - August 29th.
Sadly on August 31st MBK Entertainment announced that leader M.E would depart the group for personal reasons.
On October 31st MBK Entertainment announced that MUZIK would disband after many news reports of member Yuri having esophageal cancer. The three remaining members contracts are still up on discussion.
