Ready to Get Hurt

Lay Down Your Swords

Surprisingly, despite the events that took place the day prior, Hongbin slept like a baby. He knocked out quick the minute he closed his eyes and had a strange dream that he and the five other boys in his suite were all part of some cheesy boy band. Not that Hongbin didn't like to sing (He was skilled with a guitar after all), but he could never see himself as something as preposterous as a caked on makeup wearing boy band person who has a huge fan base that is probably borderline would be obsessed with him; that would be absurd.

There was no dark room this time, no talking flame, however, his dream did end rather catastrophically, a fire happend on the stage they were performing on and everyone was screaming and shouting. Though when Hongbin opened his eyes and came back to consciousness, there was actual screaming and shouting; by Hyuk to be specific.

"Where is it, where is it? Dammit!" He shouted. Hongbin never heard him sound so angry before.

He rubbed his eyes, poking out some of the eye wax "sand" that piled up in his eye sockets as he looked up to see the blonde boy rummaging about his belongings and his desks still dressed in his sleepwear consisting of a comfortable looking t-shirt and pajama pants.

"What's wrong Hyuk?" Hongbin asked as Hyuk turned and looked back at him and had a look of despair ridden across his face.

"Yikes sorry hyung! I didn't mean to wake you up, I... I'm trying to look for something and it's important..." Hyuk sighed as he turned around and looked through his desk one more time. Hongbin wondered what it could possibly be until he noticed that the beautiful necklace that Hyuk always wore close to him was missing from his neckline. Perhaps he took it off before he went to sleep or something, or maybe even when he was in his sleep considering the boy had a habit of doing physical gestures while in a sleeping trance.

Hongbin yawned as he hopped off of bed and looked over at Hyuk's bed, noticing a tiny glimmer in the corner of his eye underneath the younger boy's pillow. "Uh... is this it Hyuk?" He said as he reached under the pillow and pulled out the necklace that he just thought of.

Hyuk turned around and looked at Hongbin bemused before he face palmed. "There it is! Thank you so much Hongbin!" Hyuk exclaimed a smile finally gracing his endearing features as he elicited a squealing noise that practically forced Hongbin to smile largely as well. He unhooked the necklace and reached around Hyuk to equip it to him.

"This necklace is important to you yeah?" Hongbin asked as Hyuk nodded big, like a child when asked a simple question. Can he not be any cuter?

"It's from my sister. When my mom passed she gave it to me, said she made it for me with magic, it glows sometimes, and my sis said that when it does, it means my mom is still with me," Hyuk explaind in a matter of fact way that was simply shocking to say the least.

"Though, little did I know, I found out she just bought it from some store as a charm to keep me focused and strong." Hyuk chuckled a bit, looking down on the necklace and grabbing onto the main charm, twisting it affectionately. Hongbin's eyes widened at the revelation. He recalled to when he had the holo-call with his own mother on the first day they met. Hongbin remembered what he had said, he couldn't help but to feel insensitive even though he truly had no idea.

"I.. I had no idea I-" Hongbin started off but Hyuk's brown hues flashed as he shook his head and smiled brightly at Hongbin.

"Don't apologize! It was a long long time ago." He smiled as he placed a hand on Hongbin's shoulder. "Anyway I'm gonna go shower first alright? Don't worry though I'll wait up for you, wouldn't want to go to classes by myself now would I?" Hyuk smiled as he looked around and grabbed a towel along with a bathrobe and other toilitries as he waved Hongbin off. "I won't be long!" He said as he left their room, sounding almost exactly like a child.

Hongbin sighed, standing there. He could never understand the emptiness that Hyuk felt. As annoying and bothersome his mother was, he couldn't imagine living in a world without her, and it made Hongbin sad that a nice kid like Hyuk was relinquished from such affection.

After Hyuk showered, Hongbin followed suit and the two of them left the suite together. Strangely enough, none of the upperclassmen they were staying with were present when they left. An image of Leo suddenly popped into Hongbin's thoughts. He wondered if the boy was alright. Hopefully he hadn't injured him to the point that he wasn't able to attend the very first day of school. He was still having a war with his conscious on whether he should feel bad about what happened or not. The guy has been antagonistic since Hongbin arrived at the school after all but still. He couldn't help but to feel, as always.

----

Hongbin and Hyuk had the exact same schedules, go figure, convenient for them and Hongbin was delighted. He'd grown very accustomed to having Hyuk around since he had arrived, even though he's only known the boy for a couple of days, he felt very close to him and strangely secure.

When Hongbin and Hyuk exited the elevator onto the second floor, they came right face to face with a person that Hongbin didn't expect to run into.

"Leo." Hongbin uttered in almost fear as his eyes laid upon the boy he had fought with the day before. He had no visible bruises but was however wearing many bandages and had medicinal tape wrapped around his left arm and right leg and around his forehead, concealed by his bed of hair that was not spiked today.

"You look well." Hyuk muttered sarcastically as he merely glared at him as Leo looked down on Hongbin, locking eyes as always and ignoring Hyuk's presence.

"I'm interested in you, Hongbin." Leo suddenly said as he brushed himself past Hongbin and into the elevator. Before Hongbin could turn around and say anything however, the elevator doors shut and they rose up to the third level. Hongbin for whatever reason felt his heart race but he couldn't tell if it was out of fear or not. Did he just call me by my name? Hongbin thought as he couldn't be bothered with it.

"Let's go hyung." Hyuk grabbed at Hongbin's arm suddenly and pulled him out of his trance and towards their designated classroom.

Their first class was Combat Strategy. The course details stated that it was a class that helps trainees study the ins and outs of strategy, when to use, what to use, how to use. When the duo arrived in the classroom, Hongbin's eyes widened at how big the room was. It was an average lecture styled classroom except the desks were all loaded up with virtual holographic console interfaces. Talk about high tech. And that wasn't even mentioning the "white board" in front of the class behind the single teacher's desk that stood front and center facing the circular formation of the lecture desks. The "white board" was actually a monitor that seemed to project holographic images, probably for learning models and other tools to help accentuate whatever lecture is being given.

It seemed that students were free to choose where they sat since one could simply log into the console using their student ID to access all of their classwork so it didn't matter which console or seat the student was using.

Hongbin suddenly felt Hyuk grabbing onto his hand. Heat flushing to his cheeks as the taller but younger boy pulled him over to a couple of free seats towards the center and two rows from the front. Close enough to where the professor would be but not so close that they'd be up in their face. Hongbin kept glancing around as the room filled up with students but the teacher hadn't arrived yet, given that the class didn't start for another seven minutes, but still.

"I heard that the professor for this class is super young." One of the boys behind Hongbin gossiped. "They say he became a SWORD agent at the age of twelve or something and became a professor to teach other trainees."

"What? That's stupid, how could someone be an agent at the age of twelve?"

Hongbin blinked curiously, that did sound absurd, but stranger things have happened. The class finally filled up and the teacher was still nowhere to be seen. Three minutes till the class was scheduled to start.

It wasn't until the very last minute that the door opened, and a young man walked through wearing a uniform similar to the school uniform the other boys were wearing, but it looked much nicer and had some emblems, like medals or something hanging next to the school's insignia. Hongbin blinked as the young man looked like he could be no older than a year than Hongbin himself. He had silver-white hair that was shaped in a very spikey fringe. His thin eyes and round nose reminded Hongbin of a cat, a white cat with handsome features. It didn't help that one of the pins he was wearing was literally kitty pin, a kitty that looked like one of those animated avatars that people would fawn over. At the same time, Hongbin couldn't help but to feel a general aura of friendliness coming from the stranger. Something about him also looked familiar.

The young man stood in front of the class leaning back on the single desk right front and center as he looked up at everyone with curious eyes. "The name is Zico. However you all will be referring to me as Instructor, as much as I'd rather you not." He said with a smirk as some of the boys chuckled. This guy was seriously their teacher? Was this some sort of prank? However, suddenly the class whispered among each other, gossiping about the teacher, about his age and about who he is overall.

Amidst Hongbin's thoughts he noticed the teacher scanning the classroom until his eyes laid upon Hongbin, pausing for a moment as he smirked, before continuing to look at the rest of the classroom. What was that smirk for?

"Duuuuuude!" Hyuk moaned almost as he was digging his elbow into Hongbin's side.

"Ow ow ow what is it Hyuk?" Hongbin asked as he rubbed his now pained side.

"Okay, don't freak out but I'm pretty sure that's Woo Jiho, the prodigy. He's had various codenames but I think Zico's is most current codename."

Hongbin's eyes widened. Woo... Jiho? As in Jiho-hyung, as in, the boy that used to hang around his older brother Minhyuk? Hongbin remembered they had a posse of sorts, seven guys, they were all punks to be honest. All pretty skilled with magic and such but always causing trouble and being total, weirdos in general. That was back before his older brother dropped out of the Academy to become a dancer, but he remembered Jiho-hyung very, very well. He looked different. The Jiho he knew had black hair, but that was also five years ago. He remembered his older brother Minhyuk bragging how his friend became a big hot shot, even though he was extremely young, Hongbin didn't know the details, but if the gossiping he heard earlier was true, then Jiho-hyung, or rather Instructor Zico was more impressive than he ever thought. He wondered if he remembered Hongbin.

"Today we're going to talk about the true essence of strategy, and that's teamwork." He said, crossing his arms as some of the boy's sighed. "Don't give me that guys, come on, teamwork's important. It's good to have someone on your back, someone you can rely on to pull you out of a sticky situation, or even dive into a stickier situation all hands on deck." Zico said with a smile. He had a charisma about him that was enough to capture everyone's attention but just enough not to distract them from the lesson at hand.

"So, I'm assigning a little field trip that you're all going to undertake in pairs in the next couple of days. I will assign you one partner and I will assign you an upperclassman to help you journey to the Ignem Speluncam just outside of campus."

The Ignem Speluncam, Latin for fire cave, fitting as it was a cave that went underground. Although Hongbin's never been in there, he's seen documented pictures online. It looked like the interior of a volcano with fire bursting from the cave's walls and lava flowing in the lower levels of the cave.

"There you will hunt down a certain Savage that appears in the deepest part of the cavern." A Savage was a beast, a monster, a fiend. Savage was just the official universal name that the government plastered onto them. Nobody knows how Savages came to be. Many say that centuries ago when technology and magic flourished together it caused a reaction that mutated creatures and animals alike and morphing them into beasts that everyone knows presently as a Savage. Hongbin's fought a couple of savages before, small fry really that were easily to be dispatched. Sometimes however Savages can get big and dangerous. North Korea was known for taming and using Savages for warfare with strange monster taming abilities.

"The upperclassman that is assigned to you will be watching and be keeping score of how well your teamwork and battle syngery is." Zico said before finishing off his sentence. "Also, don't try to bribe your upperclassman, becuase I have devices to monitor them as well, so don't try anything sneaky." Zico said with a smirk as some boys in the classroom chortled. "Also there's a time limit of thirty minutes, so don't lollygag and roam around and explore. Do that on your own time, you have a mission objective, so stick by it." Zico smiled as he pulled up a virtual interface and began typing on it.

"I've already pre-assigned partners prior to class and the name and date of your mission will show up on your console on your desk. You are required to attend the scheduled test at that time or risk being in trouble with me. And trust me, you really don't want to get on my bad side." Zico said with another sly smile.

"Also, forgot to mention, as a bonus, the pair that receives the highest score will be allowed to accompany SWORD operatives as official trainees to a further disclosed mission into North Korea." Zico uttered as the class went silent for a moment, some started to whisper and some of them started to exclaim with excitement.

"That'd be so awesome! Wouldn't it?" Hyuk shouted next to Hongbin as Hongbin merely nodded in response.

"Yeah, it'd be a great opportunity..." Hongbin said, softly. He took a deep breath, he didn't want to be partnered up with anybody but Hyuk, he was a friendly guy sure who could make quick friends but he's fought with Hyuk before and was very comfortable around him. Though Hongbin was unsure if Hyuk felt the same way.

All of his fears were cleansed however as the names showed up on the console read that Hyuk would indeed be his partner as luck would have it.

"Wouldn't have it any other way." Hyuk beamed as he placed an arm around Hongbin's neck and pulled him close. Hongbin chuckled in relief and joy as the two of them noticed the date of their test. Right after all of their classes that day. So they'd be the first ones. That was good in some sense, at least they could get it over with right then and there.

"Alright, now that that's out of the way, let's move on to the lecture."

----

Classes on the first day were actually pretty fun. Meeting the new teachers was really interesting. Combat Strategy was interesting as Zico gave a lecture explaining the synergy and the teamwork required of users of different magic types. The strengths and weaknesses of both magic types and of course the mention of the possibility of mastering in both, though like any other teacher (and any other human being in their right mind) he suggested against it due to it's difficulty. Hongbin wanted to talk to Zico after class to catch up with the guy but he was brushed off , saying that they'd have to catch up some other time when he wasn't acting as Mr. Instructor.

The only other class the duo had that day was Cyber Manipulation, a fancy course where they taught trainees how to access several types of consoles and baby steps on how to mess with them. The course was meant to teach SWORD students how to access and hack into enemy terminals, collect files and data and eventually even do more mission prioritizing things like disabling a bomb or disarming a missile, but that was way off, and they were taking extreme baby steps.

After finishing both classes, Hyuk and Hongbin headed to the front of the campus where the email stated that they'd meet up with their Upperclassman mentor to help guide them through the Ignem Speluncam and of course, not get them killed.

When they arrived in the front however, they saw a familiar face. "Hey Ravi." Hongbin said with a smile as the blue haired brawler turned around, his spikey blue hair stuffed under that beanie of his, vastly mismatching his uniform.

"Don't tell me you're our guide to the-"

"Yep." Ravi quickly cut Hongbin off with a smirk plastered onto his face.

Hyuk sighed as he rubbed the back of his head. "Just try not to get us killed okay hyung?" He uttered as Ravi suddenly grabbed Hyuk and gave him a rough nuggie to the head.

"What's that you twerp? Haha!" Ravi chuckled. The man had a lot of strength, life, and energy, it was admirable and amusing to watch. He finally let go of Hyuk and beckoned the two of them to follow him down the road of the school. "It's not to far from here, and don't be scared. I've done this run too many times to count, I know the cave like it's the back of my hand. Though, it'll be you kids that will have to navigate through the caverns." Ravi winked. Hongbin loved how he referred to him as a kid when they were only several months apart, though he had a right to refer to them however he wanted since he's been at the school longer.

----

The cave really wasn't that far away, in a matter of five minutes they'd already arrive in the front steps of the cavern. Hongbin could already feel the heat emit from the mouth of the cave. He really didn't want to go in, even if fire was his main elemental, he just didn't feel up to go trekking in the cave. He also couldn't help but to be nervous about this Savage that Zico had mentioned.

"Let's not waste any time. The timer on my holo-phone activates the minute we all step into the cave. We have thirty minutes so let's go!" Ravi said as he brashly charged in. Hongbin and Hyuk exchanged looks, sighing as they ran into the cave, and the timer officially started.

29:45

Hyuk initially squealed at the sudden rise in tempurature as they all stepped in. The ignem speluncam was everything the pictures said they were. Fire and steam oozed out of it's walls and the sound of molten magma bubbling deep within filled their eardrums. But now was no time to marvel at the natural beauty, they needed to find their way through the cavern and then force their way out. The timer ends once they defeat the main savage so that's what they needed to do.

26:24

"Are we there yet?" Hyuk whined as he was swinging his sword around like it was a baseball bat. Hongbin smiling weakly at the gesture as he was leading the party, as per Hyuk's advice since he said that he'd just get them lost. And Ravi couldn't lead them or give them any hints on where to go, just had to made sure that they didn't die.

"I think this is the right way." Hongbin conjectured. All paths seemed to have been leading in one direction and the way the rocks were platformed and arranged seemed to offer hints on which ways lead to a dead end and which ways lead to where the objective was located. Suddenly however as they made their way deeper, a screeching sound could be heard as the three of them turned around to see four flying creatures flying right at them.

They were horrid looking abominations. They were bats, extremely, horribly mutated and Savage-turned bats that were oversized and given limbs that were very human like. They flew by them and howled ultrasonic waves that were hell bent on destroying their ear drums.

"!" Ravi shouted as he covered his ears.

Strategy time, Hongbin needed to show off his role as a leader and as the party synergist to get it in good with Zico. He watched as the bats were flying around them in circles and the next course of action was pretty clear for Hongbin once he realized what he had to do.

"You guys, cast spells and aim for their wings, it seems to be their most vulnerable spot, if we take them out from the air we can finish them off on the ground!" Hongbin shouted as Ravi and Hyuk nodded. He was slightly worried since they were both augmenters and probably didn't know any offensive casting spells beyond level one, but he could be surprised.

"Glacies Est!" Hyuk casted as he managed to freeze one of the bats, causing it to drop from the air. All Hyuk had to do was time his slash right and he managed to chop the bat right into two down it's midsection as it descended upon Hyuk.

"Now it's my turn! Fulmen Est!" Ravi casted as he held out his index finger, a single lightning bolt zapped from the tip and shocked one of the bat's right in his wing, sending him flying down in front of Hongbin. Hongbin wasted no time in dispatching the bat by running his dagger into the Bat's human like chest and then gashing it upwards, finishing it off. He quickly turned around and watched as one of the bats were about to attack Hyuk from behind.

"Hyuk! Ignis Est!" He cried out as the bat's wing suddenly caught on fire, Hongbin casted it once more causing the entire bat to go up in flames. Suddenly however he felt Ravi tackle him to the hot ground as another Bat dove in and almost took off Hongbin's pretty head.

Ravi smirked down at Hongbin and squeezed his cheek gently and patted it. "Gotta watch yourself before you wreck yourself my little portrait." He said as he got back up and the bat flew down one more time in a single divebomb as Ravi pounded his fists together, gathering strength as he punched the bat square in the jaw with such strength that it snapped the bat's neck to it's initial momentum from divebombing towards Ravi.

Hongbin coughed and got up to his feet and brushed the dust off his shoulders. "You do get results Ravi, I'm impressed." Hongbin smirked as Ravi pouted down at him.

"Hey, don't sound so surprised, I'm your upperclassman remember?" Ravi smirked as Hyuk jumped up from behind Ravi.

"I did good too didn't I?"

"Of course Hyuk, you always do." Hongbin assured the energetic boy.

17:31

Hongbin was worried, time was slipping away from them and they still needed to fight the savage at the end. He was also worried because though they finally found what appeared to be a single path, the walls around them slowly started to close in and get smaller and smaller. At this rate, it was starting to look like a dead end. And if that were true then they would fail the test. There was no way they could possibly back track and try to find the right way at this point. He was essentially taking a leap of faith.

Fortunately, that leap paid off.

The winding path that seemed to only get smaller and smaller soon opened up to a huge expansive room that had but one straightforward path that winded onto a huge platform. They had to take care not to fall since there was magma below where they stood and fountains of lava pouring off in the distance. The sight was beautiful and Hongbin wished he'd brought his camera. But now was not the time. This looked like the location they were assigned to arrive to, but there was no sign of a savage on the platform. Could it be a dead end? If it was, it'd be the most beautiful dead end that he'd come across his entire life time.

16:24

When they finally arrived at the large stone platform held up above the lava, it seemed too empty. Hongbin wasn't stupid however, this was obviously foot room for a fight, and they had to wait for the Savage to show itself.

"Can we just kill this thing and get the heck out of here already?" Hyuk cried out as he wiped sweat off of his forehead. His wish did come true, whether he liked it or not.

The sound of the magma bubbling beneath them started to intensify at an alarming rate and suddenly, as though a volcano had exploded, a pillar of fire shot upwards and eyes appeared on the other side of the fire. Hongbin's eyes widened. Could it be the voice in his head materializing in real life? It couldn't be, it felt too soon, too soon for what however, Hongbin wasn't even too sure about.

He seemed to have been proven wrong however as a creature launched itself out of the fire and flames and it was simply, revolting.

It appeared to be a huge, oversized spider armed with tusks for fangs as it had several eyes locked onto the three of them. "Isn't she a beauty!" Ravi shouted as he cracked his knuckles underneath his gloves. "It's showtime boys, let's show it what we've got!" Ravi shouted as he got into a fighting stance. It was now Hongbin's turn to take over as leader and show off his skills in cross combos and battle synergy. Test time, and they had plenty of time to get rid of their Savage.

15:45

Hongbin held up his daggers and nodded. "I'll distract it by launching projectile fire spells, you guys flank it and use your Arma spells to take it out and immobilize it." It was the same strategy used on the T-Rex, thanks Ken.

Hyuk and Ravi nodded as the spider was about to launch itself on Hyuk. "Ignis Duo!" Hongbin shouted as two fireballs launched out of his hand blasting the Spider in it's face, drawing it's aggression as the spider made it's mark towards Hongbin.

"Fulmen Arma! Woohoo!" Ravi casted as electricity pooled into his brass knuckles on his gloves as he jumped in the air and held his hands together, forming a singular fist as he landed a smackdown on the Spider, electricity pooling through the entire hunormous insect. Whistling at his work of art the spider seemed dazed from the electricity. He hopped back to recover as Hyuk came rushing in from behind, sliding his blade on the ground before holding it up high.

"Glacies Arma!" He shouted as blade became coated with that beautiful white yet faintly blue light. He rushed in and slashed at the abdomen of the spider, causing ice to freeze in where each cut was slashed into. Unfortunately for Hyuk however that seemed to have little to no effect. The spider then jerked around and essentially whipped Hyuk, sending him flying almost over to the edge. Hongbin's eyes widened as he panicked for Hyuk, running towards him and helping him up. "Geeze that was close!" Hyuk cried out as Hongbin tried his best to hold himself back from laughing and to focus on the situation at hand.

The spider then aimed it's spinnerets at the two of them and shot out a searing red bed of web that caught onto them like prey. Hongbin and Hyuk started to shout in pain as the web that was now trapping them and oozing all over them was burning their skin.

Thankfully however, Ravi quickly ran over and grabbed at the web and started pulling it apart as electricity channeled through the molten web, disintegrating it before turning around to face the spider. "Alright, we gotta take this thing out and fast." Ravi reminded as Hongbin checked the timer on his wrist.

12:15

He thought. They were running out of time and couldn't afford to lose even more. Hongbin then concocted an idea as he stared long enough at the spider who seemed to have allowed some sort of respite.

"Ravi I need you to rush in and rip out it's fangs, or at least one of them, I know it's risky but just do. Then Hyuk I want you to impale it's back with your longsword and then keep your sword as long in it as possible!" Hongbin commanded as Hyuk and Ravi both nodded.

Riskily, Ravi rushed in guns blazing, and by guns, Ravi's muscles. He dove in and Grabbed at the beast's fang. It started to hiss as it tried to clamp down it's fangs on the brawler and poisoning him; however, the savage underestimated Ravi's strength and determination.

With one final jerk he was able to pull the fang out, throwing it off to the side, causing the spider to screech extremely painfully. Hyuk cried his own battle cry and jumped into the air.

"All right!" He shouted victoriously as he dove down with his sword, blade extending towards the bottom as he sunk the entire length into the top of it's abdomen, holding the blade in there as long as he could as the spider's screeches only got worse. Now that it was pinned down and panicking, Hongbin knew just what to do to take it out without losing any more time.

Hongbin quickly rushed up to the now pinned down spider that lost a fang, looking somewhat less intimidating but still frightening nonetheless.

"Ignis Tribum!" He shouted as he felt power surging through his spell, power that seemed to have amplified the already powerful fire spell. He felt hot, warm, and it wasn't because of the lava and the cave, it was the same warmth that he felt in his soul, when he was in that dark room with that pillar of fire with the deep voice. Hongbin held both of his hands up as fire poured from his hands like a flamethrower, blasting at the spider effectively as it started to incinerate it's face, sending fire within it's mouth to destroy it's entire insides as the beast cried out in horror before collapsing after it's face had already started to melt for good.

"Did we do it?" Hyuk wondered as the beast started to simply lie there, unbeaten.

"Yep, we did, now we can head back." Ravi uttered as suddenly the spider started to shake and tremble just faintly.

"I don't think we're done yet." Hongbin blurted out as the spider's cut open abdomen simply burst open like a blister as miniature baby like spiders started to pool out of the mother. They all gathered in one singular group almost, travelling in clusters on the ground as they stopped in front of Hongbin. They were actually kind of cute, if Hongbin wasn't afraid of insects and anything ickly like.

6:32

"I did not see this coming." Ravi said sounding surprised, had the mutation strengthened causing it to have babies or something, Hongbin didn't know. All he knew was that the spiders were all staring up at Hongbin as though they were aware that he was the one who delivered the finishing blow to their mother. They all trembled all at once before they all flew up from the ground. Hongbin tried to dodge to the side but he wasn't fast enough.

Ravi suddenly dove in the way as all of the spiders jumped on him, his body, his face, crawling all over him. "Ravi!" Hongbin shouted as Ravi shoved Hongbin a little bit away and towards Hyuk.

"These little s..." Ravi warned as Hongbin's eyes widened, the miniature spiders started to inflate almost in size before they became exaggeratingly large and round for tiny spiders before finally they popped releasing venom like shrapnel in their explosion, causing Ravi to shout in pain as the paralytic poison was soaking into his skin among the innards of tiny spiders previously on him.

"Ravi no!" Hongbin uttered as he ran over to Ravi and grabbed his head, pulling it into his lap. The boy was twitching in his arms as he looked up at Hongbin's worried face. His handsome smile graced his features as he continued to twitch in Hongbin's arms.

"Don't look sad Hongbin, even though you look cute when you're worried like that." Ravi chuckled as he gasped in pain. "I can't believe those s exploded on me the nerve." Ravi uttered as he hissed from the stinging pain that was all over his body.

4:20; the light flashed before disappearing altogether, meaning they had completed their mission, but at what cost?

"I don't know any healing magic, I..." Hongbin panicked as he cleared his throat, he needed to calm down. "Hyuk! Help me with him, we gotta get him out of here and hurry back to the school!" Hyuk nodded obediently and helped Hongbin sustain Ravi. God he was heavy, even if 80% of that weight was all muscle, it was still as though the two of them were carrying a bag of bricks.

----

Surprisingly, they were able to make it all the way back to the front of the school. Hongbin quickly contacted campus services using his holo-phone to send in some medical support out as soon as possible, and they literally came, as soon as hey possibly could, quickly rushing around Ravi and placing him on a stretcher. "Jesus, you again Ravi? You just love visiting the infirmary don't you?" One of the nurses asked as Ravi could barely move and was still twitching on the stretcher. He chuckled and instead used whatever energy he had left to his head towards Hongbin. "Visit me, you better!" He said backwards-like. The poison must've been hitting him hard and Hongbin hoped he was okay.

Hyuk sighed in relief as Hongbin wiped the sweat off of his forehead, they were lucky to get out of there alive. It was getting darker out so Hongbin and Hyuk started to head back into the campus and head into the suite.

Hongbin started to wonder if the mission they'd accompany on was worth all that trouble that they were put through, especially considering that they got Ravi to be sent to the infirmary for the upteenth time in the very first week of school.

When they arrived into the suite, they were greeted by Ken, Leo and N sitting on the common room sofa watching TV. Leo looked like he was trying to sit farther away from the two, but it looked like N was holding onto him tight to prevent him from escaping. Leo looked up at Hongbin and Hyuk, then back to Hongbin again as they entered while Ken and N were still paying attention to the TV.

"Oh you guys are finally home!" Ken exclaimed as he got up to his feet. "Geeze you guys look like hell."

"I feel like we've been to hell" Hyuk uttered weakly. He wasn't too far from the truth either.

"What happened?" N asked curiously. But Hongbin simply responded with two words.

"Don't... ask..."

A/N: Hnnggg kinda a filler chapter but kinda not. Hope you guys are enjoying it so far and I'd love it if you let me know if my writing's good enough or anything hahah, jk, but seriously I appreciate all of the kind comments and the two up votes. I'd also like to welcome new subscribers to my series! I'll probably update soon. And Yes, I did bring in Zico from Block B, don't judge me. Expect more KPOP cameos and even supporting roles from other groups aside from VIXX. Also I apologize for any typos if there are any because  it's late, and by late I mean I started writing at like one o clock and ended at 402 am. Woo, anyway, stay tuned till next time!

Chapter 15: I've always comeback for this fic but i don't know how to react when you suddenly announced this. But as a fan of this fic (and also hongbin centric), I don't mind the wait. it's like giving a benefit of the doubt but it's alright. i really love your writing though. it's like reading a novel from one of my favourite authors. thank you for spending time to come back and write (bc some author nim just ignore the fics they've wrote) so, i wish you strength, courage and all the faith you need in life.

Chapter 15: I understand if u don't want to continue with this series authornim but it'll be a lie if I say that I'm not sad since This is the best vixx fic I've ever read (I live for Hongbin harem ahahaha and I also wanna know who he'll end up with) :")
But it's okay tho, I respect ur decision. It's been a journey reading this amazingly written fic and thank u so much for writing it. Good luck with ur new fic authornim!! >.<)/
