I'm Yours

You knocked on the front door of Joon’s house. You blew a hot air from your mouth as you tightened your grip on the books in your arms.

You hissed. “Damn. It’s so ing cold out here.”

Just as you were about to knock again, the door flew open. Your eyes met with Chanho’s and you could tell that he was a bit uncomfortable. “Come in, noona.”

He stepped aside to let you in and you awkwardly got in. You smiled, secretly asking yourself what could have happened in this house that made the atmosphere like this.

“Let’s go directly to my room.” Chanho said, leading the way to his room upstairs. When you walked past Joon’s room, you couldn’t help but wonder why it was so quiet. “Hyung is out with Jaekyung noona.”

“Oh.” was all you could say at the moment. ‘What happened to help-me-out-of-this-Jaekyung-problem thing?’

Both of you entered his room and you sat down on his carpeted floor. He placed some thin books on the table in front of you and took a seat next to you. “Let’s get this started, noona.”

“Alright.” you nodded. You started to explain what Chanho asked you about and forgot about Joon for a while.

Hours passed without you realized. Chanho really was a smart student, so much for your liking. He just mirrored how Joon was. You unknowingly smiled.

Chanho raised his eyebrows. “Why are you smiling, noona?”

“Nothing.” you chuckled. You glanced at the clock hanging on the wall in front of you and realized it was almost 9PM already. “It’s almost 9. We better end this now since you have to take a rest.”

He nodded and gave you a small smile. “Thanks for teaching me tonight, noona.”

You stood up just when someone stepped in Chanho’s room. You turned your head and saw Joon, smiling at you. For some odd reason, you felt butterflies in your stomach. You mentally cursed yourself.

“You’re going home?” Joon asked, walking closer to you.

You picked up your books from the table. “Yeah. I just finished my job for tonight.”

“I’ll drive you home.”

“You don’t need to, Changsun. I can call Junhyung to do that.”

Joon was at your side already and he looked straight into your eyes, sending chills down your spine. “But I insist to.”

There was a pause before you cleared your throat and looked away. “Fine.”

Joon brought his hand to ruffle your hair. “That’s my girl.”

“Yah!” you scooted away. “Don’t touch me.”

He just laughed and put his arm around your neck, almost looked like he was head-locking you. “I always get what I want.”

You stepped on his foot and there goes your little fight with Joon again. Chanho cleared his throat to stop you two. “It’s getting late, noona. Hyung, you better drive your girlfriend now.”

You fixed your hair and took one step aside from Joon. A second after that, you realized Chanho had just called you Joon’s girlfriend. You glared at Joon but he didn’t feel it. You sighed. “Your little brother is right, Changsun. Besides, Seobbie is waiting for me.”

“Ara~ Let’s go now.” Joon grabbed your hand and dragged you out. You were startled at first but just let him do it anyway.

The ride was quiet. You wanted to ask about Joon’s weird behavior today, how he got so much like a girl in her pms, but then you were so afraid that it could start a fight again between you two.

You let out a small gasp. You were never afraid of starting a fight with Joon.

What happened to you?

~~~
“Good morning, princess.”
You jumped in your seat and turned your head to see that it was Joon. You were having breakfast with your little brother and he looked happy seeing Joon came to your house oh so early.
You rolled your eyes. “What do you want, Changsun?”
“I’ve promised your brother that I would pick him up to school today.” Joon glanced at Yoseob and smiled. “Are you ready?”
“One minute, hyung.” Yoseob drank his milk in one go and rushed upstairs to get his backpack. He ran down with a smile plastered on his face. “Ready.”
Joon stood next to your chair and brushed your hair. “You want to join us, honey?”
“Don’t touch me!” you lightly slapped his hand away, but it was too late since your heart skipped a beat already. “And what the hell did you just call me? Honey? Pfft! Say that word again and I’ll cut your neck.”
“Don’t be so mean, noona.” Yoseob playfully pinched your nose. “Let’s go to school together.”
“Ani. You go first. I haven’t finished my breakfast yet.” you took another bite of your toasted bread but Joon wrapped his arm around your waist and pulled you up from your chair. “Yah!”
“You’re gonna be late. C’mon, Seob.” Joon laced his fingers with yours and started walking. You opened your mouth to argue him but you were too occupied with the fact that Joon’s fingers fit perfectly with yours.
After a while, the three of you had arrived at school.
“Changsun, can you please let go of my hand?” you asked as you guys walked past a few students from your school. Yoseob had already gone to his class, leaving you two. “I’m asking you nicely.”
Joon stopped on his track and turned his head to you. He leaned in and whispered in your ear. “If you don’t realize it, we’re in school already and many eyes are watching us. Keep the good act, will you?”
You sighed. Joon was right. You agreed to this deal so you had to obey the rules.
“Yang Yoojin.”
You froze in your position.
That voice.
Without even looking at where that sound came from, you could already guess who the owner was.
Kevin.
You gulped down your saliva then turned around to face him. You felt Joon’s grip tightened a bit but you didn’t care about it. “Annyeong, Kevin oppa.”
Kevin smiled and you felt like melting right here and now. He walked up to you and held out a book. “I think this is yours. I found this in the end of this hallway yesterday. Your name is written there.”
You looked down on the book and beamed. “Ah! Yes! I thought I lost it somewhere else.”
Kevin handed you the book and you thanked him. “I should be going now. See ya later, Yoojin.”
“Ne, oppa. See ya~” you waved your hand to him and when he was nowhere in sight, you suddenly turned to Joon and hugged his neck tightly. “Changsun! Kevin oppa gave me my book! He smiled at me!”
Joon was startled a bit at first then he let out a chuckle and patted your head. He carefully placed his free arm around your waist, afraid that you might burst in anger but in fact… you didn’t. You even tightened your hug because of the happiness that overtook your mind.
Someone cleared his throat and you quickly let go of Joon’s neck. Your cheeks started to go red as you realized what you had done. You looked up to see that it was Mir.
“Love birds.” Mir said, smiling. “Morning, hyung, noona.”
Your cheeks were still red from the incident earlier so you looked away, avoiding Mir’s gaze.
“Noona is blushing!” Mir snapped. He burst into laughter, making you more embarrassed.
Joon immediately grabbed your head and buried your face on his chest. “Yah, bang Cheolyong! Don’t make fun of my girl.”
You felt your cheeks blush even more and you couldn’t help but ask yourself why this even happened. You wanted to pull your body away from Joon but your brain didn’t let you to. The warmness of Joon’s body gave you a warm feeling inside your heart and you liked it. You never knew it would be like this, you never knew.
“Fine, hyung. No more joking about noona.” Mir held his laughter back and held his hands up in the air in defeat. “Never knew you two could be so sweet like this.”
You buried your face more on Joon’s chest, signaling that you get more embarrassed.
“Bang Cheolyong!” Joon yelled.
Mir just laughed his head off and ran away after shouting good bye to the both of you.
“He’s gone.” Joon said softly in your ear. He brushed your hair motherly and patted your head twice.
“Thank you, Changsun.” you murmured. Bitting your lower lip, you pulled away. You looked down, not having any courage to look into Joon’s eyes.
He smiled and laced his fingers with yours. “Let’s go to class now.”
You nodded and walked beside Joon. You never liked skinship with any other people except your family but whenever Joon’s skin met yours, it felt right.
~~~

“Yoojin-sshi, what happened to you? You never got B- before!” Mrs. Jang hissed at you in anger. She was so angry that you got a bad mark for her latest exam. She always used alphabetical score, and it made the students have to work harder because her scoring standard was a bit hardcore.

Holding your exam paper, you just hung your head low. You yourself didn’t know how this could ever happen. You bit your lip then murmured your apologize to Mrs. Jang. She just shook her head in disbelief then told you to go back to your seat.
