He playfully pouted and mouthed 'not fair' while I was already leaving, still laughing.
I remember that before I decided to move away, before I ended up offering him a ride, before we spent all those hours next to each other in the car, I had often wondered if my life and all the time that had passed me by had amounted to anything or if they had simply been lost pages of a calendar.
But now I know that what I have kept is this journey. Not what had ended or the new start ahead of me. What remained were those days spent inbetween.
Because after all they amounted to everything they could be.
They were time well spent.
Because eventually, there is no lost time.

I first had the idea to write a story around the setting of a road trip two years ago while writing a different piece. After finishing my last story I fell in a bit of a slump when it comes to writing. When I decided that I really want to get back to it again I browsed AFF for a little while and realized that there aren't a lot of fics with CNBlue/Yonghwa that don't involve another celebrity in the OTP. So I thought that there might be a fan out there who would enjoy reading a fic like that – which is why I decided to write one XD Because of this motivation this story is probably the most fic-like story I have written so far. Since I unfortunately have no talent when it comes to writing from a "you"-perspective, I thought a first-person point of view might be the second best option for fan enjoyment then. My last story was rather complex and I felt like I had put a lot into it to the point that I had nothing more to tell afterwards. So my goal was to write something very simple in order to ease into writing again. I hope the fic won't be super boring though because of the simple story line. Btw. all members will make at least a brief appearance.
So, as for my background: I'm not a native English speaker nor do I live in an English-speaking country so unfortunately my abilities are limited and there will be horrible grammar mistakes and misspellings. Also, at times my usuage of phrases/vocabulary can be strange or my flow a bit off because of that. I want to appologize for these annoyances in advance, I hope it won’t ruin the reading pleasure too much. I'll try my best^^
