Yixing's POV 

Luhan and I approached the familiar figure and soon realized that it was Areum.  I was totally shocked to find her here of all places.  And when we took a closer look, we noticed that her cheek was a bit red and there were streaks of dried tears under her eyes. 

"I wonder what she's doing out here," I said. 

Luhan shrugged his shoulders and gently tapped her shoulder.  Areum didn't move an inch, so I looked at Luhan, wondering what to do.  He only gave me the same look. 

It was night time already, so we didn't want to just leave her, not that we were planning on it, and we didn't know where she lived, so Luhan suggested that we take her back with us.  I agreed and helped him lift her up onto his back, and we started on our way home. 

On our way, I told Luhan that I could carry her on my back instead if he got tired, but him being the manly man that he was, said that it was okay and that he'd carry her all the way- also reminding me that my waist was hurting the other day. 

I was surprised that Areum could keep sleeping when we picked her up.  I thought that even a heavy sleeper would wake up when they felt someone moving them, but I guess she was probably really tired.  Areum finally woke up, though, when we were close to the dorm. 

At first she was surprised and almost fell off Luhan, but when she realized that it was us, she calmed down. 

"What were you doing outside?" Luhan asked. 

"Oh, um...  I was just resting for a bit," Areum replied, hesitating a little bit at first. 

We could tell that there was probably more to her story, but we didn't question her any further.  We didn't want to make things awkward or uncomfortable, so we changed subjects and asked her how work was going instead. 

Baekhyun's POV

After practice ended, we all headed home.  As soon as we got to the dorms, everyone split and went to do their own stuff.  Chanyeol, since he didn't have to get back to the Roommate house, and I hung out in the living room and watched t.v.  Then Jongdae and Sehun came in with Taeyeon trailing behind.  Immediately, I stood up and walked over to her with a big smile plastered on my face.  She smiled back, but it seemed a bit forced and right away I knew something was bothering her. 

"Noona, are you okay?" I asked softly, my smile faltering a bit. 

"Yeah," she replied.  "I just need to talk to you for a second." 

I nodded and lead her to my room so that we could have some privacy.  I closed the door behind us and made sure no one would disturb our conversation.  Then I followed her to my bed and sat beside her. 

"So, what's up?" I asked, slipping her hand into mine. 

"Well..." she hesitated.  "Can you please answer me honestly?"  She stared into my eyes so desperately that it started to make me worry. 

"Yeah, of course.  Now, tell me what's bothering you." 

"Baekhyun...  Tell me, are you sure you don't love Areum?" 

Her tone was so serious that I didn't know what to say right away.  She was usually always so bubbly and playful, and seeing her like that made me hurt on the inside. 

"Why are you asking?" I asked, confused as to why she would ask that. 

"Don't tell me you don't know."  She paused.  "Baekhyun, the way you talk about her and to her, the way you put your arm around her, and the fact that you go hang out with her almost as often or more than we do-"  She sighed and took her hand away from mine.  "You're telling me that you don't know why I'm asking you?" 

"Taeyeon, I thought I explained all of this to you.  Areum and I are just friends.  I moved on.  She... She moved on..."  Truthfully, I had really thought that Areum really did move on.  I was pretty positive that she did, but when she confessed to me, the truth came out.  But I wasn't going to complicate things further and tell Taeyeon that because if I did, she would never trust me again, even if I wasn't reciprocating Areum's feelings back.  It was already hard enough to get her to trust me now when I'm being faithful and she keeps questioning me. 

"Well, to be completely honest, I just don't trust you as much as I did before right now." 

I looked at her, then looked away.  "What do you want me to do then?  What can I do for you to trust me again?" 

Taeyeon let out a sigh and clasped her hands together.  "I just want you to distance yourself from her a little bit." 

I thought for a moment and in the end, I just nodded my head because there was really no other choice left for me. 

"Fine... will you really trust me again?" I asked. 

Taeyeon nodded and silence fell over the both of us.  Then she placed her hand on top of mine.  I lifted my gaze from the ground to her face. 

"Baekhyun," she said softly, "it's not that I don't like her...  It's just that I was a little scared.  I don't want you to leave me.  I love you too much to just let you go." 

I lifted her hand up and placed a light kiss on her knuckles.  I whispered, "I love you, too," in her ear and let her rest her head on my shoulder. 

A couple of minutes went by and Taeyeon got up, saying that she needed to get going.  I walked her to the bottom floor and waved goodbye to her as she got into her car and drove off.  Then I went back to the dorm and took a shower. 

As soon as I was done showering, I flipped over onto my bed and stared up at the ceiling.  Letting out a loud sigh, I closed my eyes and thought of how to distance myself from Areum.  Then I heard the door swing open and footsteps.  I opened my eyes just to see Chanyeol staring at me. 

"What's with the loud sigh?" he asked and sat down on his bed.  "I could hear you through the door." 

"Stress," I answered simply. 

"What's stressing you out?" 

"Well, Dr. Park, I don't know what I should do right now." 

Chanyeol smirked at the nickname and decided to play along.  "Tell me all of it." 

I smiled, thinking about how great a friend Chanyeol was, and sat up.  I told him about everything that happened, from Areum's confession to just what happened with Taeyeon.  I did leave out some details, though, like how I really felt about everything, but I'm sure my face probably said it all. 

Chanyeol sat still in his bed, listening to what I was saying until I finished up.  "Well, you seem like you're in a situation...  I don't really know what to say.  I think you just have to do what your heart wants, as cheesy as it sounds," he said.  "But I do have to say, you should probably clear things up and not try to two time." 

"I'm not two timing anyone.  Taeyeon is my girlfriend and Areum is just a friend," I stated. 

Chanyeol looked at me for a second before saying, "Fine.  Okay, as long as that's clear with the other two." 

I sighed.  "Alright, enough.  Let's just go sit out in the living room with the guys."  I didn't want to talk or think about it anymore for the rest of the night, and so the both of us got up and went to the living room. 

Most of members were home and were watching t.v. already.  Chanyeol and I plopped down on the couch and joined them.  About an hour and a half went by while we were all lounging on the couch before we heard a knock on the door.  I, being the closest to the door, got up to go answer it. 

As soon as I opened the door, I was face to face with Taeyeon.  She shyly smiled at me and said that they had canceled her schedule and that she had nothing else to do for the night.  I smiled back and let her in.  We both walked into the living room together and sat beside each other. 

It was pretty quiet, only the t.v. speaking and saying things until we heard the front door opening.  Then in came Yixing and Luhan with Areum on his back.  I was shocked to see Areum and wanted to go and question them, but I remembered what Taeyeon said and stayed put next to her. 

Yixing rummaged through our medicine cabinet and brought back a small band-aid while Luhan let Areum down on the couch.  He sat down beside her and breathed in and out heavily.  Then Jongdae came running into the room to see what was happening. 

"I could've walked, Luhan," Areum said shyly to Luhan, who was out of breath. 

"It's fine.  You're as light as a feather anyway," Luhan replied, patting her shoulder in a friendly matter. 

"You look like you're about to die, though." 

"Well, I did carry you all the way from the river to here, okay," Luhan said defensively. 

Areum smiled.  "Okay, okay.  Thank you." 

Luhan smiled back.  "I'm just glad that you're okay." 

Then she looked down and started fidgeting with her fingers while Luhan got up and went into the kitchen.  I stared at her with worry wondering what had happened.  I wanted to go and ask her, but I couldn't.  Besides, it seemed like she was totally ignoring because we made eye contact, but she looked away. 

"What happened?" Jongdae asked worriedly. 

"Oh, nothing," she replied softly. 

Yixing kneeled in front of her and carefully put the band-aid over the side of her cheek.  "There," Yixing said, happy with his work of putting on the band-aid nicely.  "It was only a small cut, so it should be okay." 

Areum nodded and quickly thanked Yixing for helping her out.  Yixing got up and went into the kitchen while Jongdae took his spot.  Jongdae lifted his hand up to her chin and slowly tilted it so that he could inspect her cheek at different angles.  Just seeing the two interact made me frown, but all I could do was sit there and watch from a far while Taeyeon laid her head on my shoulder. 

Your POV 

As soon as we made it into the dorm, Yixing disappeared into the kitchen while Luhan let me down.  After Yixing came back and put a band-aid on, Jongdae knelt down in front of me and took my chin into his hand.  His face was so close to mine that my heart started beating really hard against my chest and my cheeks were starting to get hot.  

I looked away for a moment only to lock eye contact with Baekhyun.  Then I saw Taeyeon and I looked away.  Unconsciously, my eyes traveled back to the couple within a couple of seconds.  I knew I would only be torturing myself by doing so, but for some reason I just couldn't help it. 

Baekhyun looked at me with worried eyes while Taeyeon had a slight frown on her face.  I, as selfish as I was, wanted Baekhyun to ask me what was wrong because that just seemed like the Baekhyun thing to do, but he stayed where he was, silently. 

When Jongdae placed a hand on my cheek, I changed my attention from the celebrity couple to him.  He smiled at me pulled his hand away.  Because Jongdae's smile was so contagious, I was able to forget about Baekhyun and Taeyeon just for a second and smile back at the smiling prince. 

Jongdae got up from the ground and sat beside me.  We watched t.v. with the rest of them until they started leaving the main room to their own bedrooms.  The members had left until there was only Jondae, Baekhyun, Taeyeon, and me left. 

The atmosphere got awkward when Taeyeon and Baekhyun started talking and getting close.  It felt like a someone had shot me with a bullet of jealousy as I witnessed the couple getting cozy with each other.  Jongdae made it obvious that he too was feeling a bit awkward by tapping me on the shoulder and signaling for me to follow him back to his room.

Hello everyone!  This chapter took me pretty much a whole day to edit and get out because I kept getting distracted and it was quite a long chapter, too.  There's still so many chapters left, like pretty much the whole rest of the story, and I don't know what to do... I being kind of lazy about it, but I really want to get the chapters out to you all as soon as possible.  Hopefully I'll have more time and motivation to edit the chapters quicker soon.  I'm sorry for the slow updates, but thank you to all that have continued to stick with this story!
