Your POV:

"Thanks for dropping me off, Subin," I thanked my co-worker.  "I'm sorry that you had to drive out so far." 

"Oh, it's no big deal!  Don't worry about it," she insisted.  "I'm sorry about what happened to your dad.  I hope he gets well soon." 

My lips stretched into a small smile.  "Thanks.  Drive safely." 

"Will do!  Bye bye!" 

I watched Subin drive off and then headed inside.  As I took a couple of steps towards my house, I noticed that there was a familiar car parked in the driveway.  I stared at the car for a second before going up to the front door just to spot Baekhyun waiting on the step. 

"Wh-what are you doing here?" I asked, completely surprised by his sudden visit. 

"There you are," he said and smiled. 

Baekhyun got up and walked up to me.  He brushed away the hair in my face and pulled me into a hug. 

"Are you okay?" he asked. 

I nodded and replied, "Y-Yeah... I'm fine...." 

"I'll always be here for you, Areum.  Don't forget that." 

All of a sudden, my tears were flowing out of me and I didn't know how to stop.  I leaned into Baekhyun's embrace and felt him tighten his grip. 

Time passed, and a couple minutes later, I detached myself from Baekhyun's hold and looked up at him with my red, puffy eyes.  "Thank you," I thanked him. 

He smiled gently at me and said, "Of course.  It's probably been stressful for you, right?  I'm here now.  You don't have to cry anymore." 

"I wasn't crying," I said with a pout and wiped my tears away. 

Baekhyun shook his head at me and smiled.  "Okay, sure," he sarcastically replied. 

I pushed passed him and went to unlock the door.  We walked in together and took our shoes off.  I went on ahead and set my bag down on the couch before going into the kitchen to find something to snack on. 

"Are you hungry, Baek?" I called out. 

"No, not really," he replied as he walked into the kitchen.  "Speaking of food, let's go out to eat for dinner." 

"Today?"

"Yeah...  Unless you're busy." 

"No, I'm not busy." 

"Alright." 

I took out some grapes and washed them before putting them in a small bowl.  Then Baekhyun and I made our way into the livingroom.  I placed the bowl of grapes on the coffee table and went to change into some comfortable jeans and a simple tee.  When I came back, Eunsun and Minkyung had just walked in. 

"Oh, unnie, where did you guys go?" I asked as I went to sit on the couch next to Baekhyun. 

"I took Minkyung to work with me today," Eunsun replied and set her bag down next to mine. 

"I colored a picture for you, auntie!" Minkyung exclaimed and handed me a paper. 

I looked at the colored picture and smiled.  It was of the two of us at the park.  "Thank you, Kyungie," I said and pinched his little cheek.  "I love it.  I'll go hang it up in my room right now." 

After I hung the picture up in my room, I came back into the living room and finally sat down to eat some of the grapes that I washed.  As Baekhyun and Eunsun talked for a while, I watched Minkyung play and fed him grapes from time to time. 

Then Baekhyun got up from sitting on the couch and looked at me.  "Ready to go?" he asked. 

"Oh, yeah," I replied and got up. 

"Where are you guys going?" Eunsun asked as she plopped down on the couch. 

"We're going to go out to eat," I told her and slipped on a light sweater. 

"So a date?" 

"Huh?!  Uh- N-no..." I denied.  "W-we're just going to hang out, that's all..." 

Eunsun giggled and nodded her head.  "Okay.  See you.  Drive safely." 

"O-Okay," Baekhyun replied and headed towards the door. 

As we were walking to Baekhyun's car, I sneaked a peak and looked at him.  His face was a bit red, but probably not as bad as mine, and looked really calm.  I could literally feel my cheeks burning as if I were right in front of a fire. 

We climbed into the car and Baekhyun started to drive into the city.  At first, the drive was awkwardly silent because of what Eunsun said still occupying our minds, but then Baekhyun tried lightening up the mood. 

"I think you'll like it.  Minseok hyung, Luhan hyung, and Kyungsoo said that it's really good," he said. 

"I'm sure the food will be great," I replied. 

"Oh, hey, I've been meaning to ask, how do you get to work everyday?" 

"I usually walk, but sometimes I take the bus." 

"You're not overworking yourself, are you?" 

"No, I'm not.  Don't worry." 

Baekhyun's POV:

When we first got into the car, I couldn't stop thinking about what Areum's sister-in-law said.  I knew deep down inside, I really wished that we were going on a date- I wished that I could proudly say that we were going on a date and put my arm around Areum, but then I thought of Taeyeon.  She was my girlfriend and I wasn't just gonna go off and cheat on her.  I love her dearly, but I just couldn't stop myself from thinking that anyway. 

Then we started talking about her work and all.  Even thought she told me not to worry, I couldn't help but feel concerned just a little bit.  She was working two jobs to help her family out, but that was affecting her straight on. 

Though she didn't say so herself, I could tell that she was tired.  She looked absolutely exhausted.  The tone of her voice wasn't as cheerful as it always was.  It also felt like she wasn't mentally here all the time.  She seemed so distant as well. 

"You worry too much, Baek," she said. 

I glanced at her quickly and replied, "Only because you don't worry about yourself." 

"I do." 

"Liar," I chuckled. 

I saw her pout from the corner of my eye and smiled. 

"Okay, say we were both in some sort of accident, and you were more injured than me.  What would you do?" 

"Well...  I- umm..." she hesitated.  "I don't know...  Let's just hope that never happens." 

I laughed.  I knew that she would answer this way. 

"That's why I worry about you." 

"Hmph..."  She turned away and stared out the window. 

"I'm just going to take your stubbornness as a little thanks." 

She didn't give any reply, but I was content at that. 

Soon enough I found a parking spot and we made our way to the restaurant.  As we were walking, Areum wasn't looking where she was going, so she almost bumped into a pole, but I pulled her aside just in time. 

"Wha-" 

"Watch where you're going sometimes," I told her and pulled her closer to me.  She pouted again, but didn't push me away.  "You know, if you pout so much your face will get stuck like that."  I poked her cheek and smiled. 

She swatted my hand away and stopped pouting.  "Stop teasing me," she whined and looked up at me. 

Finally, we made it into the restaurant and was seated towards the back to have a bit more privacy.  The place was pretty big and was quite the fancy restaurant.  The menu had a lot of options as well.  After we ordered we talked as we waited on our food to come out. 

"So, how are you and Taeyeon?" Areum asked. 

"We've been good.  We've both been busy, though, so we haven't been meeting up lately," I replied. 

"Oh...  I mean, at least you guys are happy.  Anyway, you didn't have a schedule today?" 

"Actually, I did, but I thought that it was more important to come see you and make sure you were okay." 

"Baekhyun, you can't just do that.  Go back or else you'll get in trouble."  Areum looked at me with concern and tried to urge me to go, but I just smiled. 

"Don't worry.  I worked hard almost all night yesterday and didn't have a big schedule today, so it's okay." 

"Baek-"

"You don't want to hang out with me?"  I pouted and watched her expression change. 

"N-No, it's not that.  I just don't want you to get in trouble with your manager or company because of me." 

"It's fine, I won't get in trouble.  I promise." 

"Okay then.  I'm not convinced, but I'll believe you, Byun Baekhyun." 

I smiled because I knew she was worrying again.  I didn't know what I would do without her and I was glad she was feeling alright now.  We kept talking and trying to catch up on whatever we had missed out on each other.  Then our food got to the table and we dug in right away.  After eating, I took her back home.  She kept telling me to go back, but I told her that I'd hang out with her for a bit longer.  While she went ahead into the house, I went to grab my bag from the back. 

Your POV:

I headed in first since Baekhyun said he needed to get something from his car and once I unlocked the door, I heard yelling.  I slipped my shoes off and walked around the corner and into the kitchen where I found my mom sitting at the table and Eunsun and Myungdae standing next to each other with Minkyung crying not too far away. 

"How could you two be so careless?!  You know we're in debt right now.  You how hard things are right now," my mom yelled. 

"What's going on?" I asked and stepped further into the kitchen.  I knelt down beside Minkyung who lurched forward into my arms. 

"Take Minkyung away," Myungdae ordered me. 

"But-" 

"Just go!" my mom yelled at me.  "Let me deal with this problem without any crying!" 

"Mom..." I muttered and gave her a long, hard stare.  I lifted Minkyung up with me, but I didn't move.  He had calmed down, luckily, and buried his face into my shoulder. 

My mom saw that I was not going to move from where I was any time soon, so she continued.  "Now that we have to pay off the hospital bill for your father it's putting another load onto our shoulders.  It was already a struggle when Minkyung was born, but adding another one to this family will make us dirt poor!" 

"Mom, I'm sorry.  It was just..." Myungdae said quietly and trailed off. 

"An accident?" my mom finished for him.  "Really?  You guys... it's...  How are we going to get the money?  What exactly are we going to do?" 

"I'll work another job.  I'll try doing anything," I butted in, looking back and forth at my mom and the couple. 

"Areum, stay out of this," my mom said sternly.  Then she looked back at Eunsun and Myungdae who wore the most guilty faces ever.  "Well?  If you guys don't have a solution, then I do.  Abort it.  I don't want my grandchild to suffer living inside a box instead of a warm home.  It's already bad enough that Minkyung will probably experience it."  After she said that, her voice lowered and tears fell from her eyes. 

"Mother," Eunsun mumbled.  I looked over to her and saw that her eyes were filled with tears, too.  Eunsun sniffed, then said, "If that's what you want." 

My jaw dropped.  I couldn't believe what was being talked about.  My mom was basically telling Eunsun to kill her baby and Eunsun was agreeing.  Anger filled within me and I couldn't hold my tongue anymore.  "No!" I shouted to no one in particular.  "No...  Stop... Stop it right now.  Y-You can't do that, Eunsun.  I will not let you...  And mom, stop yelling at them.  So what if it was an accident?  I promise I will work harder everyday.  I'll find another job and I'll do whatever it takes to help pay off the bills and pay for all the baby stuff.  I promise.  Just... just don't give up so easily," I told them. 

All of their eyes were on me.  Even Minkyung had lifted his head and looked up at me.  I passed Minkyung over to Myungdae and started walking towards the door as I tried my best to hold in my tears.  Just as I turned the corner, I bumped into Baekhyun. 

"B-Baekhyun," I sniffled, "I-I'm sorry.  You can stay if you want, but I'm going out for a walk."  I quickly ran out of the door then without looking back. 

Baekhyun's POV: 

After I grabbed my bag, I walked into Areum's house.  As I was taking off my shoes, I heard yelling and crying.  I slowly walked over to where I heard it all and saw Areum and her family arguing about something in the kitchen.  I leaned against the wall and listened, though I knew I probably shouldn't have been.  Then all the yelling stopped and Areum came walking around the corner. 

She accidentally bumped into me and right away I knew that she was on the verge of crying her heart out.  I wanted to pull her into a hug, but she spoke and left before I got to do anything.  She walked right out the door and into the night.  I took a short glance into the kitchen before running out after Areum. 

Author's POV:

(When they went to the restaurant.)

As Areum and Baekhyun got out of the car and headed into the restaurant, there just happened to be paparazzi in the area as well in the area.  When Baekhyun got out of the car, one of the paparazzi recognized him and took pictures of course.  They didn't only just take pictures of Bakehyun though.  They noticed a girl, which happened to be Areum, get out of the car, too.  Not only that, but they saw how close the two were. 

Obviously, the paparazzi thought that this would be something great to release to the public.  He thought that it'd be a great scoop, but the only downside was they didn't know who the girl was.  They never got a picture of Areum's face.  Even when Areum had turned to the side, the picture ended up too blurry to tell.

Hi everyone!  It's been a while, hasn't it?  I'm sorry for the late update.  I've wanted to get this chapter out to you guys for a while, but I kept starting to edit it, then stopping, then coming back, then stopping again.  I just haven't had the time lately.  Even my weekends have been busy. 

Anyway, sorry for those short POV snippets, I was planning to make them longer, but I didn't really didn't want to because I would have had to alter the next chapters and change the pace of the story majorly, so I just left it at that and kept them short.  I hope it doesn't bother you guys too much.
