Chapter 2: Mislead to Intentions

You Left Without Saying Goodbye

"Amber?"

"...."

"Please talk to me."

"I can't, I have nothing to say."

"You've been locked in your room for a week, just talk to me."

"Why?"

"I care about you. I love you Amber, you're my sister. Please, talk to me." I looked to my side at Victoria, who leaned against my bedroom door frame, arms crossed and concern covering her face. I sat on the side of my bed, my hands underneath my chin, holding my head up.

"Honestly, I don't have anything to say. He's gone, and I can't believe it."

"I know, sweetie, I know."

"No! You don't know! No one knows!" I yelled, getting upset. Everyone was saying they were sorry and that they understood what was going on, but in reality they didn't. They don't know what I'm going through. Every aching minute is painful. I want to lie in bed and wait for death to consume me. It's like my whole being has been murdered and left me, perhaps leaving with him. "Not once did he tell anyone, let alone me, that he was leaving and now it's too late for me to cling to him and beg him to come back." I put my hands in my hair, hiding my face as I felt the now familiar sting of tears fill up in my eyes. "If only I had called or something....if I weren't such a damn idiot, I could have kept him here with us....with me."

"Sweetie, it's not your fault. If you had known, you wouldn't have let him go like this. He is a jerk for leaving like this." she walked over to me and sat next to me on my bed, putting her hand on my back. "Hell, if I see him I won't think twice to kicking him in the gut and killing him for you. Though, if I go to jail, you better bring me lots of food."

I couldn't help but chuckle at her threat towards Kris. "Thank you, Vic, you've always been great to me. I'm sorry for the stupid outburst." I looked up at her and began wiping the tears from my eyes. She smiled, hugging me tightly.

"No problem. All of us, even the other idols that know about you and Kris, have been worried sick about you. They've been calling our dorm at least a hundred times a day. We love you, remember that."

"Thank you, again."

"I'm going get you some cereal. I'll be back in a bit." Victoria got up and winked at me, leaving me alone in my room again. Once she left, as I was stuck in my own silence again, it's like I could feel the suffocating, cold hair surround me once again.

I heard a knock at my door. "Tao, can I borrow your shirt? The black one with the silver stuff on it?" It took me a few seconds to realize Suho was at my door.

"What? Oh, yeah go ahead." I didn't bother moving my eyes away from my laptop. Distractions weren't needed.

"What have you had your eyes glued to for the past few hours? You know SM would kill you if they found out you had access to the internet, right?" I heard him rummaging through my drawers, trying to find that black shirt.

"Nothing, at least nothing important anymore." I took a sip from my cup of apple tea and continued typing on my laptop, my voice flat with no sign of emotion.

"You okay buddy? I mean, I know it has been killer for us since Kris just got up and left like that." I couldn't take it, even the mention of his name aggrivated me. Instantly, I jumped out of my chair and walked over to Suho. I opened my closet door and grabbed the shirt he was looking for.

"That jerk can die in hell for all I care." All the rage I had built up inside began to show its colors. I slammed the closet door next to me and walked over back to my laptop. I could feel the utter shock radiating from Suho behind me. Not caring what he had to say next, I closed my laptop and put my hands on my desk, leaning my bodyover it. "Please, just leave." I pleaded. I didn't have to look over at him to make him do so. It only took a few seconds for Suho to leave my room and calmly shut the door behind himself. In a way, I felt bad for all of a sudden exploding on him like I just did. Though, there was nothing I could do now. My anger was still taking its time to subside from me.

All of the rumors online were stupid. One person said he left because we were all bullying him - I mean come on you have to be ing kidding me - and another person said he didn't fit in because he wasn't Korean. I was tempted to send those idiots some very interesting messages, but all of my SNS accounts and emails were being monitored. Besides, insulting a supposed fan wasn't good for reputation's sake.

Kris, leaving us...no leaving me like this is what killed me. He never even gave out clues of what was going on! He just left over night without saying a god damn word to any of us! Not even his own ing girlfriend! That was what astonished me more. To just abruptly leave like that and abandon the ones you love. He promised us that we would always be close and a family, and then this bastard doesn't even think twice of dropping us like a toy he got bored with. Everything he said was a sick, twisted lie! He was never there for us! It was just a game to him!

Feeling my rage build up inside me again, I grabbed the picture of EXO I had on my desk and threw it across the room. Once it hit the wall, it landed on the ground and the glass frame shattered into many pieces. I stood there, looking at the mess made in front of me.

Look what this bastard is doing to my head. After a few minutes, I walked over to begin picking up the pieces of glass. However, I was distracted when I saw someone's face. It wasn't Kris....or a boy for that matter. It was Amber, laughing around with us. This photo was taken during 'Eurorong' promotions. She was hosting Show Champion at the time.

There she was, the girl Kris loved. That has to be some sick, messed up love to just leave someone like that, let alone someone as kind as Amber. To think he loved her after what he did....

 Loved.

 Loves.

This is what Kris left behind...a defenseless, weak, heartbroken girl.

I couldn't help but stare at her face now, a small smirk growing on my face. That was it. My mission....no my revenge. I wanted to make Kris realize what he had done to us, but now I want something more....rewarding. I want revenge. I want him to feel the pain he made me feel. I want it to hurt and cut him even worse to the point he begs for me to stop. I want to destroy him from the inside out.

I took the picture out of the frame carefully and bent it to where only Amber's body was visible.

"Amber Liu, prepare to fall for me."

The rain began to fall rapidly....I love how this is what I get for going out for the first time in over a week. I really didn't know what to do with myself, so leaving the dorms seemed like the best thing, but now I don't know what to do next. Everything seemed like a waste of time.

"Amber!" I heard someone call out my name. I turned around and saw Tao running over to me, waving his hand in the air.

 "Tao?"

"Hey, what's up? Why are you in the rain like this? Here." Tao took out his umbrella and quickly opened it up above us.

"I forgot my umbrella, thanks." I lied. "Oh, nothing really. I just wanted to get away from everything for a bit is all."

"I don't blame you. I would love to escape from everything for a while, but with our first concert I didn't really have the chance to do so recently. How are you holding up?" We began walking to the bus stop near us. It was the one that held dear memories for me and Kris, but quickly I snapped myself out of that thought. The last thing I need is to begin crying in front of others.

"I'm alright....I think." I said, pulling out a fake smile.

"I'm pretty beat myself. All the rumors going around are ridiculous." Tao shook his head in shame, stopping with me as we waited for the bus. "You know what I was thinking? Maybe he was the one spreading them around so he can find an excuse as to why he ditched us."

I don't know what came over me, but I felt I had to deffend him "No, Kris wouldn't do something like that." However, I realized my actions when Tao gave mea surprised, confused look. "At least, I don't think he would."

"Hell, who knows. I'm probably wrong though, so don't mind what I said. Let me buy you coffee, noona."

"No, no, that won't be necessary Tao." I put my hands up, shaking my head 'no'.

"Please? It'll be my treat. Look at it as two friends getting closer together. It would be great to talk to someone who gets what I'm saying." As much as I didn't want to be around anyone for a while, Tao seemed kind of desperate. Saying no would only hurt him, so I grudgingly decided to agree.

"Alright, just for a bit though. I gotta get back to SM in a while to hear what our comeback schedule is."

"Yes! Thanks, noona!" Tao dropped the umbrella and hugged me tightly, shocking me. After a few seconds, he abruptly stopped and grabbed the umbrella again and held it over us. "I'm sorry, I don't know what came over me." he looked at the ground, finding sudden interest in his shoes.

"Ummm, it's fine. No, don't be apologizing. I was just surprised is all." he looked back up at me, looking as if he didn't want to hurt me. Soon enough, the bus came around, as I was thanking it for its timing. Maybe the awkwardness could go away for a bit, but then I remembered he was coming with me. Toughen up, Amber! I shouldn't be acting so weak and brittle. Once the doors opened, we both went on the bus. Tao decided to pay for both us, which only made me feel more guilty.

"I'm sorry if I upset you." Tao said once we got our seats, taking his spot on the outside.

"You didn't, stop apologizing silly." I lightly punched him on his shoulder, managing to pull off a soft smile.

"Ow! noona ~~" he whined, putting his hand on his shoulder. As if that was painful.

I rolled my eyes. "Shut up." I couldn't help but giggle as he pretended to be in so much pain.

After that, a comfortable silence came between us for the next few minutes until the bus came to a stop. We calmly got up and off the bus. However, when I was stepping down from the steps, I began to slip. Quickly, I tried grabbing anything around me but failed to do so properly.

"Woah!" I panicked. Before I could fall and land on the sidewalk, Tao grabbed my waist and steadied me.

"Don't worry noona, I've got you. I'll keep you safe." He then lifted me up and set me next to him.

"Thanks." I said, my blush burning my cheeks.

"Anytime, noona, anytime. Panda Tao's got your back." He patted me on the back.
