Coming In Contact

A day passed since I met EXO.
Yes, the whole Baekhyun thing is still killing me. Unfortunately, we haven’t texted or called at all since we exchanged phone numbers. Yesterday, I was completely scared to text him first. I mean, we agreed on keeping in touch. But I assumed it’s on his terms considering he’s a fricken celebrity for crying out loud.
I didn’t have the balls to contact him so I tried my hardest to forget about it. If he wanted to keep in touch then great, I’d love to chat with him and all. But until then, I’ll just lay low.
Even though it was hard to not keep my eyes on my phone, waiting for a message or something, I had to go on about my day.
As soon as class ended, I had to make my way to work. And that was no fun either. I work at Baby Blue, a western styled diner, as a waitress. Being a waitress is really tiring. Do you know how heavy those plates and platters are? Plus, being extra friendly can be tiresome too.
With only thirty minutes left of my shift, ending at 10:30PM, I was just finishing up waiting on a table. And it was pretty slow tonight so usually on nights like this, my boss allows me to go home early. She’s the best boss though; she completely gets that I’m still a college student, “As soon as you’re done with this table, you can go. I know that you should get your studies done.” My boss said as I cleaned the tables.
She understands but besides my amazing boss, I don’t get paid a lot. Well, it’s not horrible if it pays for the bills and stuff but really, I could use the extra money. I’ve considered pulling more hours but it totally conflicts with school. So, I guess I have to wait until I graduate.
I wiped down tables and brought in dirty dishes to the kitchen. Afterwards, I packed up my belongings and made my way out, “Goodnight, unnie!” I told my boss.
“Goodnight, drive home safely.” She said.
I got into my car with a cup of coffee in my hand. I need the caffeine. I was exhausted but I need to make sure I don’t fall asleep on the road. Plus, I have homework.
Before I made it home, I heard my phone go off. I got a text message but I ignored it as I concentrated on the road.
Then I remembered, what if that’s Baekhyun….? Could it be?
No, I have to pay attention as I drive!
As soon as I got to a red light, I reached for my phone to see who texted me.
And right there, Baekhyun’s name popped up on my lock screen. I froze. HE TEXTED ME!
I had to keep my cool as I moved along with traffic flow. BUT OH MY GOSH, BAEKHYUN ACTUALLY TEXTED ME. That definitely woke me up.
I hurried my way home, quickly parking my car, and making my way to my apartment. As soon as I got indoors, I opened his text that read, “Hey, stranger. Sorry I didn’t text you yesterday. I got wrapped up in rehearsals.”
I’m literally swooning right now. I just can’t believe I’m texting Baekhyun. I’m texting a celebrity. And after assuming that we’d never actually keep in touch… I’m surprised he found time to actually think of me to actually text me, “Hey, stranger! It’s okay, I understand. I was thinking of texting you but I figured you were really busy. And sorry for replying late; I was driving home.” I texted back.
I’m keeping my phone on me at all times for now.
I cooked my dinner, watched TV, I even showered, all while texting Baekhyun. Hell no am I replying late again!
Our conversation went a little something like this:
Baekhyun: Haha, yeah. I get busy sometimes. Lol and it’s okay. Where were you driving home from?
Me: Oh haha I was working tonight. I hate late shifts.
Baekhyun: Really? Where do you w
