Babysitting
DrawnShe watched as he threw the little boy into the air. Shrieks emerged from the toddler as the man chuckled and caught him again before he hoisted the child up onto his broad shoulders.
It would seem that he hadn’t learnt his lesson after all. The last time they had played this game, the child had promptly thrown up on her.
She heard the telltale retch and a groan and sniggered as she looked up from the script she had been reading. He looked extremely frazzled as he held the boy away from his now stained shirt and trudged into the bathroom with the boy in his arms looking put out.
She had sworn up and down the first time she got toddler puke down her front that it would be the last time she ever babysat and yet here she is now, two years later and babysitting once again as Haha and his wife had their date night. The child had managed to worm his way into her heart despite the stinky diapers he gave her and the fact that he often like to throw up down her front. Sometimes, when he screams, she contemplates if she can get away with throwing him down the building or herself out of the window of her twentieth story apartment. When he finally falls asleep and peace is restored, she has to admit that she did indeed have fun in spite of the grossness factor and the eardrum she was sure he had broken with his earsplitting screams.
