“Good morning, love!” EunJung greeted her daughter when she saw her walking down the steps. In EunJung’s hands, she was holding a small Tupperware that contained food, which she found at the front door, when she opened to go out for some fresh air.

KyonDae smiled brightly at her mother and frowned a little looking at the container of food in her mother’s hands. “What’s that?” She asked while pointing towards the Tupperware. It was a beautifully decorated small Tupperware with light purple colored ribbons and a small card pasted on top of the Tupperware.

EunJung smiled and stretched her arms out, handing the Tupperware towards KyonDae. “I found it at the front door. Looks like someone left it there. And ... according to the cute card here, it’s for you.” KyonDae quickly took the Tupperware and looked at the small card. It was a handmade card, she saw as the card was cut unevenly and KyonDae couldn’t help but to smile at the decorations on it. She was more than sure that the sender made the card him or herself.

 She opened the small card and noticed her name was the first that was written and as her eyes traveled further, she saw a name that she was very familiar with. She shook her head and let out a sigh. “Aigoo, L.Joe.” She mumbled but her lips then turned into a grateful half smile.

KyonDae sat at the dining table to open the Tupperware with her mother grinning widely beside her, not to mention jittery. KyonDae chuckled at her mother’s excitement and carefully lifted the lid only to see small cookies inside the food container.

EunJung couldn’t help but to squeal like a small child. “Oh my, cookies!” She took one, inspected the small sized biscuit with the rest, and laughed a little. “I think he made this himself, yes? Look at all the shapes. They’re irregular.” KyonDae nodded with a smile on her face when she observed the cookies too. “I’m sure he did.” EunJung took a bite and her face was delighted with the amazing taste.

“Never judge a cookie by how it looks. They may look weird but they taste splendid.” KyonDae took one to try and was more than agree with her mother. She also noticed that each cookie had different flavors and her heart softened. He had really gone through the trouble of baking different flavors of cookies for her and sent it to the front door on who knows what time.

“He’s trying hard, I see.” EunJung teased and KyonDae shrugged. “Guess so.”

EunJung sling her arm on KyonDae’s shoulder and said encouragingly, “Just forgive him already, love. Have mercy on the boy.” KyonDae laughed at her mother when she saw a pout on her mother’s face. She had to say that her mother could sometimes be a childish person despite her age and that was why KyonDae loved her so much. They just reunited for almost two years but it felt like they were never separated at all.

“I will, mother.” KyonDae said truthfully and actually meant what she said. EunJung smiled wider and kissed her cheek. “I know you will. You can’t be mad at him for so long right?” KyonDae only nodded and didn’t say anything more. It was true that she cannot stay angry with him for so long but a part of her seemed to still be a bit awkward when they were together. However, as uncomfortable as it may seem, KyonDae already promised herself to not act this way and slowly give the lad a chance.

L.Joe was hanging around with his friends under one of the trees at the college compound while waiting for the classes to start and the poor boy couldn’t help but to yawn from time to time. It was a lie to say that none of his friends didn’t notice as he yawned for almost every ten minutes, and he often almost drifted to sleep in the middle of their conversation.

ChunJi asked on behalf of the rest of them. “Dude, what time did you sleep last night? Are you all right? You look so freaking sleepy, you know?” L.Joe yawned again and nodded. “Yeah, I’m fine. I slept a bit late last night and woke up quite early too.”

The rest of them frowned and looked at him intently, “What were you doing?”

“I looked up for some cookie recipes in my mom’s recipe book and baked some early this morning.” L.Joe said unknowingly and in the midst of yawning. He didn’t really plan to tell his friends what he did the night before that caused his drowsiness but he was too sleepy to be even aware of what he said.

“You baked cookies? On your own? Why?” Cap asked and suddenly the little ones interrupted happily and was jumping in their seats. “Hyung I want cookies I want cookies!!” ChunJi shook his head and slapped their heads, telling them to keep it down.

L.Joe yawned again and sighed. Dang, if he didn’t get over with this he will have a hard time in class later. He already had some trouble trying to understand the lesson and now he was being sleepy. No doubt, he was going to hit the hay once he entered the class and sat on his chair. Not to mention the air conditioner was like a lullaby for him to sleep deeper.

“I … baked for ... KyonDae ....” He said but sadly whispered KyonDae’s name softly as he had already closed his eyes. He was very tired. Teen Top frowned at each other as they could hardly make out anything he said. They only shook his head and let him be. L.Joe shouldn’t be sleeping late actually and he needed a lot of rest but oh well, it’s L.Joe.

The rest of them only meandered their eyes around and only politely nodded at some girls who were trying to flash their oh-so-sweet-smiles at them which only looked eerie than cute. Ricky happened to look at the gate when he saw two familiar figures and hollered happily, ignoring the looks from people around and at the same time waking up the tired and sleeping L.Joe.

“KyonDae! MyungHee!” He waved and both Niel and ChangJo quickly held his shoulders, forbidding him to run across the compound to give the two girls a hug. L.Joe’s eyes shot opened when he heard KyonDae’s name and notwithstanding his lethargy, he raised his hand and waved at her a little. KyonDae saw him and nodded at him with a small smile. MyungHee waved at them back cheerfully before entering the building with KyonDae.

L.Joe leaned back again and was about to close his eyes again when he saw all his friends were looking at him with sad expressions and the poor boy could not fathom why. “What?” He asked and rubbed his eyes. Much to his surprise, he didn’t feel that sleepy anymore now. He wasn’t sure whether it was because Ricky’s loud yelling or because he just saw KyonDae. He smiled to himself a little when he thought if it was because of the latter.

“She used to wave back.” Niel muttered and the rest of them just nodded. L.Joe sighed and just smiled forlornly. “I know. I couldn’t blame her. She’s closing herself a little now but no matter what, I will open it back.”

“Do you like her that much, hyung?” ChangJo asked and the rest of them waited patiently for L.Joe’s answer. L.Joe, however, didn’t say anything and just shrugged. He closed his eyes again as if he could continue his interjected sleep. Teen Top decided not to bother him and let him have his rest before the class started.

Cap only watched L.Joe and silently sighed. He shook his head a little. Luckily, you didn’t say it. You’ll make it harder for yourself if you did. But I doubt your heart denies it, yeah?

L.Joe still yawned a little but managed to get him sober enough and if he was lucky, he could still survive throughout the rest of the class. L.Joe turned to his side, noticed that KyonDae’s seat was empty, and could only see her bag on the chair. He figured that KyonDae must have gone to the toilet when he was trying to keep himself awake.  MyungHee found him looking at KyonDae’s seat and smiled a little. “She’ll
