CHAPTER 8:  I promise

The two maknaes are sitting side by side at the living room.

This was V’s 3rd month of Lung Cancer. They had an operation but it came back.

They haven’t confessed that time because V was suddenly took to the hospital when they were about to confess.

This time, V couldn’t walk and keeps on coughing.

“Hyung, have you taken your medicines?”

“Yes. Where are the other members?”

“They went to buy some wheel chair for you.”

“They don’t need to. You could just carry me.” V said, smiling sheepishly.

“Hey!”

“I don’t know if I can still live, maknae.” V said, smiling contently.

“Don’t say that, hyung! You told us you’re going to survive, right?” Jungkook said, sobbing silently.

“Jungkook, don’t cry for me. I want to stay alive. But I don’t know if I will stay alive at this point. So, Jungkook, always be good and don’t be mean to your members, ok?”

“Don’t say that! Hyung, you’ll stay alive! You won’t die!” Jungkook said, hugging V tightly.

“Maknae, I’ll die earlier if you continue hugging me tightly. I can’t breathe.” V said, chuckling.

“But hyung, you’re being mean!” Jungkook said, wiping his tears.

“I’m sorry. You have to be strong for hyung, ok?” V said, shaking Jungkook’s head.

“I’m trying, hyung. But you kept making me weak.”

“Jungkook, I’m already weak. I’m already in pain seeing you doing things for me. It hurts me so much not being able to do anything I used to do.”

“Are you really the Kim Taehyung I used to know? Is this V who is so 4d and happy about almost everything? Please be you again.”

V coughed real hard and multiple times too.

“Are you ok?!” Jungkook said, hugging V.

“W-Why are you even h-hugging me?”

“I’m afraid of how you cough. It breaks my heart, hyung.”

The other members arrived.

“Well, we haven’t bought any wheel chair yet.”

“Huh? Why?”

“We didn’t feel like buying and Taehyung texted saying he doesn’t want a wheel chair.” J-Hope said, rolling his eyes.

“Yah, Kim Taehyung! What do you want us to do with you?” Jimin said, pinching V’s ear.

“Ouch, hyung!”

“Jimin’s right, Taehyung. How will you be able to walk when you can’t?”

“I’ll just crawl. I still can move my arms, right?”

“Crawl? Really?” Rap Monster said, face palming.

“Yeah, what’s wrong with that?” V said, feeling offended.

“Let’s not fuss over this, ok?” J-Hope said, obviously annoyed.

“Yeah, Hoseok hyung is right. I don’t want to have
