In this world, there's nothing worse than seeing someone you care about cry.

It was the feeling of frustration, sadness and anger that would be evoked. Frustration because Sehun was powerless to help or do anything for his best friend. Sadness because Jongin was still, on the floor with tears dripping silently down his face. Anger because Sehun knew the reason why.

Krystal Jung.

Pretty, charismatic, charming, clever, slender was just few of the words that could describe her. She had been blessed with natural beautiful looks that could turn heads when she walked down the streets and to top if off, she had a charming personality that no one could deny. It was clear that God had chosen Krystal Jung as his favourite because she had been gifted with perfection from the day she was born.

While Krystal Jung's personality could be charming as she wanted and likeable Sehun begged to differ. She was also incredibly manipulative and sadistic. A terrible combination if you asked Sehun. In fact, Krystal Jung was so sadistic and manipulative that she had dated Sehun's best friend, Jongin for a few months, using all her charms and wit to win Jongin over in a short amount of time. In short, Krystal had made Jongin fall for her in a short time period of 3 months.

It was actually funny how Krystal Jung took so long to gain Jongin's heart compared to the time she took to break it.

She could have been kinder, she could have been less sadistic or cruel and chose to let Jongin down easier and not break his heart as much. But alas she took the other route, she chose to utterly and ruthlessly crush the heart Jongin gave to her.

Jongin continued to curl up in a ball, weeping. He was in such a pitiful state that Sehun dropped to his knees and pulled Jongin into his arms. He brought Jongin to his embrace and hugged him tightly, letting Jongin sob into Sehun's shoulder.

To be fair, both boys did know Krystal had an infamous reputation of being a heartbreaker and had broken numerous hearts as well. But Jongin was caught up in a delusion that he had a chance of curbing her wild side and making her fall for him as well.

"What'd she do?" Sehun suddenly whispered as Jongin's tears dripped down Sehun's shirt.  Jongin slumped onto Sehun, not even supporting himself and buried his head into Sehun's shoulder. Jongin opened his mouth and mumbled something but stopped abruptly. Perhaps it was too painful for Jongin to say. "You don't have to tell me Jongin if you don't want to." Sehun quietly told him.

"Krys.." Jongin suddenly choked out but stopped again. ".. We were at a party. Minho's." he paused. Sehun held his breath; already the garbled rumours from Sulli were beginning to make sense. "I saw her with Minho and she was kissing him." Jongin stopped and pulled himself from Sehun's embrace. "Why didn't she love me?" he asked almost childishly, looking into Sehun's eyes with his own red rimmed ones. Sehun looked away, unable to meet his best friend's eyes for once and did not reply. "I… I confronted her about it. I asked her if it was a mistake or if she was drunk." Jongin ploughed on, his words becoming distant. "And, she said she was perfectly sober and that it wasn't a mistake."

Jongin looked upwards, his eyes shining with tears. "She never loved me. She just played with my feelings." he mumbled and wiped his eyes with his left sleeve. "But the thing is, I still love her so much and it hurts me that she never loved me at all." his own words sent a new wave of tears streaming down Jongin's face.

Jongin stared at Sehun, his gaze unfocused, not paying attention to Sehun's face. That was alright though; Sehun didn't want Jongin to see the black anger coursing through him like a broken dam, the waves of fury flowing through him. His whole body was shaking in rage, rage at the fact Krystal had reduced a cheerful boy like Jongin  into a sobbing wreck.

As Sehun pulled his best friend into his arms, his lips moved to form a silent vow.
