It was Monday morning you were up nice and early …

Sunday had passed like most Sunday’s you spent it cleaning the house and your room til kai came over and did everything he could think of you annoy you until you through water at him…he made sure you gave him his share of cookies then you two just hung out til it was time for kai to go home…

You didn’t have school today as today the teachers were having a training day so you decided to make the most of it and go shopping for your mums birthday..

You head out the door and straight to kai’s house , knocking on the door you knew kai wouldn’t be up yet but his parents would

“ah Jessie come in” kai’s dad greets you

“morning….kai still sleeping?” you asked but you knew the answer

“nae”

“ill go wake him…I need his assistance today” you smile

Walking towards kai’s room you decided to tiptoe

Kai was sleeping peacefully unaware you were heading for him , once in his room you jump on his bed “wake up sleepy head time to go out” you sing

Kai groans and pulls the blanket over his head “omma its to early”

“omma…..last time I checked I was Jessie…now wake up” you say and pull the covers off him

“jess….go to sleep”

Not happy with kai you get up and open his curtains letting the sun shine through

“come on kai I need your help today………get…uuuuup” you pull him by his arm but he is much stronger then you and pulls you down on the bed and holds you there so you cant move

“still sleepy” kai says in a husky voice

“if you get up ill treat you to breakfast”

“tempting but not tempting enough” kai replies

“cookies?”

“cookies and breakfast?” kai questions

“yup..only if you get up now”

“im up im up…kai is wide awake” he says while jumping up on his bed

“seriously kai…..you get up for cookies and not me saying I need your help”

“what can I say……I love cookies”

 

Once kai was ready you both head for the place of kai’s choice for his breakfast treat..

After he was finished you went to pay but was stopped by kai..

“what are you doing?” you ask

“did you really think I was going to make you pay?......what gentlemen does that”

“its my threat”

“nope….just treat me to my cookies you promised”

“ok fine but I didn’t promise”

 

You head for the cake shop and kai’s face lights up at the sight of all the cakes..

“close your mouth your dribbling” you joke which earns you a playful smack from kai..

“annyonghaseyo” the lady greets

“annyonghaseyo” you both greet back

“im looking to have a cake made for my omma’s birthday I have a design in mind”

“ok can I have a look”

You hand the lady your design and she looks abit confused..

“this is a birthday cake?” she asks

“nae” you smile

“so you want the flames in green?” she asks

Confused you take the paper off the lady and look at it , kai burst into laughter

“that’s your design” he says

“aniya I didn’t design that….everything else is right apart from the flames and whatever they are” you say pointing to the weird looking shape

“I can have this ready in two hours”

“that’s perfect it gives me time to get the present”

You and kai head to the printing shop, you had decided to get a picture made in a bigger size and put it in a frame for your mums present..

You were told it will take an hour so you went to look for the prefect frame..

“how about this?” kai asks holding up a frame

“aniya to small”

“this?”

“kai your just picking up any frame” you laugh

“well what are you looking for ?”

“I want something that maybe has….words , yeah words I want words on the frame”

“this one is prefect” kai says handing you the frame he found

On the top middle part of the frame it had FAMILY written on it then at the bottom it had LOVE and at the two side it was covered with words like HOPE,FAITH,LOYALTY,DREAMS…

“its perfect” you smile

“and it’s the right size”kai says

“you know appa thinks you’re the perfect husband “

“well what can I say….im just an all round perfect guy”

“show off”

You were to busy watching the guy wrap the frame up to notice that kai had blushed at what your father had said..

“so what are we going to do while we wait for the cake?”

“I don’t know…..get some ice cream” kai suggest

“good idea”

“could you keep the cake at your house so omma don’t see it?”

“sure”

“don’t eat it kai” you warn

“as if I would do that”

“im still confused about that drawing “

“maybe you got tired and doodled “

“id believe that if I didn’t doodle flames…no one can fall asleep and draw perfect flames like that”

“don’t worry about it…you got the right drawing after all”

Even though kai said not to worry about it you still couldn’t help but be confused as to how them flames got onto the drawing…

 

“cake should be ready lets go” kai says and pulls you by your arm

Once you see the cake you knew it was perfect your mum would love it..you also picked up the picture..

 

Back at your house you were putting the picture in the frame , you held it up to your eye level to admire it but in the reflection of the glass you see a shadow walk past you , quickly turning around..

Nothing was there….”kai?”

“kai..where are you?”

“in the kitchen” he calls

Your eyes open wide with shock , your kitchen was infront of you so you knew it wernt kai’s shadow you had seen , you put the picture down and quickly go to kai..

“how long have you been in here?”

“since we got back…..wae?”

“I could of swore I see a shadow”

“maybe it was your own”

“what walking past me…behind me…I looked at the picture and saw a shadow walk past me”

“jess were the only ones here…come to my house if you want”

“aniya I have to wrap this up…..ill see you at school tomorrow”

Kai heads home and you go into your room to wrap and hide your mums gift…

Once its all done you sit on your bed thinking about what you can do now…

You decided to go and make yourself a snack then go back to your room to do some more drawing…

Your drawing and taking a bite of your food , focused of what your doing you reach out to grab your food….not there

Its now on your left side…shrugging it off you take a bit and continue drawing….

Again you reach out and its not there….

Its on your right side..

“what is going on?” you say out loud

That’s when you hear a sqweeking  noise you slowly turn your head to the right and see your chair is slowly turning by itself you jump up and put your hands on it to stop it from turning….

Looking at it confused ..

You hear a scrapping noise…in front of you , your door keys are moving across your dresser by themselves …

You jump back and slam into the wall , eyes wide with fear

“what is happening” you say and then you hear “Hi”

“w-who said that?”

“me”

You turn in the direction of the voice and see a boy sitting by your window

“who are you? How did you get in here?”

“I don’t need keys” he smiles and turns himself invisible

“g-ghost-t-t” you stutter

“yeah that’s what I am…..a ghost”

You curl up into a ball and scream

“GO AWAY..GET AWAY FROM ME PLEASEEEEE”

“calm down..i wont hurt you” the ghost says

You get up and he takes a step towards you and you make a run for it straight to kai’s house

Banging on the door , kai quickly opens

“Jessie…..whats wrong?”

“t-there’s a g-ghost in my house”

“jess come on…your still freaked out by the shadow”

“no kai there is a ghost in my house he spoke to me”

“soooo…your freaking out cos he spoke to you”

“kai~~ im scared , you know im scared of them”

“ok come on lets go ghost busting “

“its not funny kai”

Walking into your house you are holding on to kai’s arm for dear life..

“where did you see it?”

“in my room”

“ert “ kai jokes

“here ghosty ghosty…..come out come out wherever you are”

If you think calling me like that is going to work ..think again

Kai makes a sound as if he was calling a cat

Im not a cat…..im a ghost…..you moron

“kai stop…you might make him angry”

“jess theres nothing here”

“its here…I know it”

“how?”

“because hes standing right next to you”

Kai swings his arms around and the ghost is just looking at him with an amused look on his face..

“kai..what are you doing?”

“trying to make it disappear “

“its not working…..lets just go please”

“is he still here?”

“wait aniya hes gone” you say looking around

You and kai were sitting down stairs

“what did he look like?”

“a ghost…..a boy I don’t know I was to busy freaking out”

“well what did he want?”

“I don’t know”

“maybe you should ask him “

“or maybe you stay here and ill stay at your house”

“no way im not staying here with casper the friendly ghost”

“my parents will be home soon what am I going to do?”

“I don’t know…ask him to leave…nicely”

“I did”

“did you ask him to leave while screaming at him?” kai says knowing just what your like

“of course”

Look ill stay with you till your parents come home..

 

Once your parents come home kai had left but told you to call him if anything else happened…

You had no choice but to go back into your room

“ok…I know your in here but could you please leave……..dont be jumping out at me either”

“im not here to hurt you”

You see him sitting in the chair he had been playing with earlier

“was that you?...messing with the chair..my keys and my food?”

“yup” he says proudly

“did you move my photo album aswell?”

He nods still proud of his little pranks

“that was my art on your drawing aswell” he says

“you did that? That’s nothing to be proud of that was for a special cake…you..you ghost”

“woooah easy there on the name calling………that’s all you got  …you need to work on that”

“you need to get out”

“cant do that”

“wae?”

“cos I live here”

“what?”

“joke….i don’t wanna leave , ive been here long enough now”

“how long?”

“since you arrived”

“wae?”

“long story ill save it for another day”

“so you aint going to hurt me?”

“nope…im friendly”

“haha casper the friendly ghost” you copy what kai had said

“nope not casper….im chanyeol the friendly ghost”

“chanyeol”

“you don’t need to be scared of me Jessie im not here to hurt you…..dont you think that if I wanted to hurt you I would of done it by now…relax”

“ghost scare me…if you have been here for as long as you say you have then you would know that”

“I do know that , why do you think I didn’t just appear …I started doing little pranks so you would be aware that someone was here….  Then today I showed myself”

You weren’t to sure how you felt about having chanyeol in the house with you but you couldn’t make him leave…..

So for now you just had to put up with him , you were still scared but not as much as he had a point…if he wanted to hurt you he would of done it by now….

He made you two promises that night

1. he wouldn’t watch you while you were in the bathroom.

2. he wouldn’t be visible while you slept

You told him that it would creep you out falling asleep with a ghost in your room who you could see.

You didn’t know but now you have met chanyeol….your life was about to change.

and so was his.
